Read Janelle Manahan’s reply-affidavit
My exclusive – by Raïssa Robles
Left to die, Janelle Manahan summoned all her will and strength to text her family for help.
In this gripping eyewitness account of her own attempted murder and the slaying of her live-in partner Ramgen Revilla, young aspiring model-actress Janelle Manahan narrates the events that changed her life forever.
Again, many many thanks to the person who provided me with these documents.
Because of what she experienced and realized, Janelle has asked to go under the government’s Witness Protection Program.
Janelle’s account does not contradict that of Ramgen’s younger sister Ramona up to that point before a man in a Halloween mask appeared outside Ramgen’s bedroom door and shot her.
It is what Janelle recalls starting from when she was shot that has prompted authorities to look closely at these five people, namely:
♦Ramgen’s three sisters – Ramona nicknamed “Mara”, Ragene and Gail –
♦Ramgen’s younger brother Ramon Joseph or “RJ”; and
♦Gail’s brand new husband Hiro Furuyama.
Recall that in my first piece entitled Sen. Ramon Revilla’s “Other Woman”, most of Ramgen’s siblings and his mother Genelyn immediately asserted the innocence of Ramgen’s brother Ramon Joseph and sister Ramona through their Facebook postings.
But after you read Janelle’s very detailed account, you will understand why the authorities are now looking with suspicion even at Ramgen’s newly-married and very pregnant sister Gail.
To understand the damning inconsistencies, read below first what Ramona said in her counter-affidavit starting from when she fled the scene of the crime.
Now try to reconcile this with what Janelle said she remembered as she lay bleeding in the hospital:
At the hospital, I met Gail, Hiro and Ragene. Ragene told me that Mara was allegedly missing. I looked at Gail and Hiro, they gave me the facial expression of confirming what Ragene was telling me. Together with them was Ragene’s friend Shaw, who also lived in the house at Paranaque. Only Shaw was grieving and crying while the rest did not. I also saw RJ later at the hospital. All he told me was “Janelle, what happened?” He also did not appear to be grieving.
Ah, but you have to read from the beginning Janelle’s narration to make better sense of how the world turned upside down for this 22-year-old woman.

REPLY-AFFIDAVIT
I, JANELLE ANN CAREN MANAHAN, Filipino, single, of legal age and with postal address c/o my counsel at Suite 602, Richmonde Plaza, 21 San Miguel Ave., Ortigas Center, Pasig City, after having been sworn to in accordance with law, hereby depose and state:
I am filing the instant Reply-Affidavit in order to accurately describe the relevant events of October 28, 2011 and account for the actions of Ms. Ma. Ramona Belen P. Bautista that may establish her participation in a conspiracy to commit the crimes charged in the instant case. The following are the unadulterated facts based on my personal knowledge and observation.
At about 10:00 in the evening of October 28, 2011, I was with Ramgen at the lanai of the Bautista family residence at No. 4 Presidents Avenue, BF Homes, Paranaque City. Ramgen was working out, doing boxing exercises with a punching bag while I was sitting near the door. At that time I was waiting for Ramgen to finish his work-out and bring me home to Makati. I had plans thereafter to proceed to La Union with my cousin and some friends. While sitting, I was using Ramgen’s laptop computer playing songs on Youtube because Ramgen wanted some music while working out. I was also texting my mother about my planned trip and my cousin and friends to coordinate with them my projected schedule.
While at the lanai I was consciously checking the time every now and then since I had to catch-up with my cousin. I had hoped that at 10:00 PM Ramgen would have already driven me to Makati so I could pack-up and start travelling to La Union by 12 midnight. But Ramgen asked for a one (1) hour work-out, or until 11:00 PM. I was suspecting that he was trying to delay me so that my plans for La Union would not push through. In fact, Ramgen was proposing that we just drive to Makati in order for me to get my clothes and then drive back to Paranaque so I could keep him company while his family was away in Baguio.
Therefore, I could place the time from 10:00 PM to just a little before 11:00 PM when we were at the lanai. I was still hoping at that particular moment that with a 15 to 20-minute drive to Makati I could still catch up for the 12 midnight trip. While we were at the lanai, Ramgen’s personal assistant, Ronald Ancajas, was present. Among the things I noticed was that he was going back & forth from the kitchen, laying something on the floor of the lanai.
Moments later, before about 10:30 PM I noticed Ramona Bautista, or Mara, pass by from the kitchen which was near the door to the lanai. The kitchen doors are the ones usually used by the family to enter and exit the house from a second gate. There is another gate and a main door fronting Presidents Avenue but the door is always locked since it is farther away from the garage.
After 5 minutes or so, or at about 10:30 PM, I heard Mara talk to the maid to just bring up something that she had asked for. I was by the door to the lanai and we noticed each other. We chatted. I was telling her that I thought she was going to Baguio. She said that she was waiting for Ramon Joseph, or RJ, who was going to fetch her and they would travel together with her other siblings who had not yet gone to Baguio. According to her, RJ was still driving his girlfriend, Jorgina, home. Mara also told me that she was out with friends and had a few drinks. In fact, she expressed that she was tipsy. A few seconds later, she left.
At that time, Ramgen was doing sit-ups. He turned to me and said: “Ano daw? Nakainom siya?” Then I noticed Ramgen make a certain facial expression.
After about 2 minutes, Mara returned. She talked to Ramgen and asked him if Ramgen could create a video of himself for their brother Ram-Ram, who was a PMA cadet in Baguio. After Mara left, Ramgen finished his sit-ups and decided to make the video right there at the lanai. He used his cellphone. After a while, Ramgen asked me to review the video that he made. After reviewing the video, Ramgen continued to finish his exercise.
We left the lanai a few minutes (maybe around 5 minutes) before 11 PM. I stood up because the plan was for Ramgen to drive me home by 11:00 PM. Ramgen stood up as well and we walked towards the stairs to his room. As we entered the door from the lanai, I saw Ronald Ancajas. Ramgen talked to him for a while. Then we proceeded towards the stairs. While we were still at the foot of the stairs I noticed that the door of Mara’s room was open as indicated by the glare of the light inside. The light from Mara’s room was noticeable because the lights around the family hall beside the bedrooms were turned off.
Then as Ramgen and I climbed the stairs and then enter his room I noticed Mara standing outside her room.
We closed the door and I laid the laptop on the bed. Ramgen proceeded to take a quick shower while I sat down on an office chair facing the mirror. I was positioned with my left side facing the door which was nearby. While Ramgen was at the shower I continued on texting my mother and cousin. I was losing hope that I could still catch up with my planned trip as I was really running late.
After less than ten minutes inside the shower, Ramgen asked me to bring him his towel, then I sat back on the office chair. He walked towards the bed with a towel wrapped around his lower body. He sat down on the bed (head part) located at my right. Then I heard a knock on the door. I opened it and it was Mara. Mara left the door open and it did not occur to me to close it because I thought that Mara would be inside only for a short while.
As Mara entered the room, Ramgen stood up to meet her. They proceeded to sit at the foot of the bed located at my back. Ramgen was seated at the right and Mara at the left part. Mara was asking Ramgen to give her the video and they were discussing on ways how Ramgen could send it through the internet or by phone. I heard Mara asking Ramgen to send the video to her by bluetooth. Ramgen turned to me and jokingly asked if an Iphone still included a bluetooth application.
While they continued on discussing and while I was just sitting, waiting, I suddenly felt something hit me on my right shoulder. Upon impact, I instinctively sat upright. My sudden thought was maybe I was hit by an airsoft gun. I did not hear any sound of gunfire. Then I turned my head towards my left facing the door. After I faced left, I saw a man with a plastic Halloween mask and wearing an army green jacket. He was holding a pistol with a silencer pointed at my face. Then he shot me in the face.
I heard Mara say “Ramgen, si Janelle may tama!” I got blood all over my face and I could neither move nor talk because I was so shocked. I was still seated with my head bowed. I was cupping my palm to catch the blood oozing from my face.
I heard Ramgen rushing towards the door shouting “Gago ka! Sino ka!” Then I heard a commotion going on just outside the door. Mara approached me. She stood by my right and bent to my side and asked me “Janelle, saan ang tama mo?” I answered “Sa mukha.” Then I told her that I was not feeling well.
At that point, I slowly slipped from the chair and into the floor to my right where I saw a pillow that must have been dropped by Ramgen before heading towards the guy. I was bent almost lying down on the floor facing the pillow. I felt dizzy and out of breath. Mara knelt beside me on my right side without touching me. She was saying, “Oh my God, Janelle ang daming blood.” I told her, “Mara ask for help”. At that time the realization that I had been shot already sank in.
Mara stood up and positioned herself beside the chair. She addressed the man outside, “Tama na! Tama na!” After that, Mara just stood where she was. Then I heard Ramgen going back inside the room. After that, I heard the door being slammed. Ramgen said, “Mara lock mo yung door”. Then, less than 2 seconds later I heard Ramgen fall to the floor beside the door.
Mara was standing beside the door and said, “Ramgen? Ramgen?” Then she walked towards me saying, “Janelle check mo si Ramgen, hindi sumasagot”. I looked at Ramgen and I saw him lying down on the floor. I told Mara, “Mara hindi ko kaya, nahihilo ako, ikaw na lang mag-check”. But instead of checking on Ramgen, Mara stepped backwards towards the TV and said, “Oh my God, ang daming dugo natatakot ako, ano ang gagawin ko? Janelle…”
Then she positioned herself nearer and I told her, “Mara, hingi ka ng tulong, tawag ka kahit sino”. Mara replied, “Hindi ko alam sinong tatawagan ko. Alam mo ba ang emergency number… uhm… 1…1…Janelle, hindi ko alam.” She continued, “Janelle, may alam ka bang number? Ambulance, any ambulance.” Then she asked for the car keys of Ramgen and said that she would drive me to the hospital. However, I did not know where these keys were.
Then Mara knelt and told me that she would try to call RJ. She was putting her cell phone close to her ears in the act of calling, though I was not sure whether she really called RJ. Then she said that RJ was not answering his phone. She did the same motion and uttered “Oh my God, lahat sila hindi sumasagot! Bakit ngayon pa!”.
I asked her to try Gail since her house is only a few minutes away. Mara responded, “O sige try ko”. So she called Gail, and I heard from the sound of the phone that Gail answered the call. Mara said, “Ga, may emergency dito, nabaril si Janelle at si Ramgen ang daming dugo.” What struck me from the voice of Gail on Mara’s phone was Gail’s simple response, “Oh sige, pupunta na kami diyan.” They still continued their conversation, which was no longer clear to me. But from the sound of Gail’s voice I did not notice any panic or worry.
After Mara hanged-up the phone, she turned to me and said, “Ok na Janelle natawagan ko na, wait lang ha, papunta na daw sila dito.” So I said thank you and then kept my head facing down.
Then I was no longer speaking. Mara just kept on repeating, “Oh my God, oh my God … ang daming dugo…” Then after a while, she called “Ramgen, Ramgen?” and “Janelle, Janelle?”. She was still kneeling down. Both Ramgen and I were not responding, so Mara kept on calling in a louder voice, “Ramgen, Janelle?!” When she did not receive any response, Mara said, “Oh my God!”
Afterwards, Mara stood up. When she was at the door, I heard Mara say, “Wait lang ha, maghahanap lang ako ng tulong.” Then she exited the room and closed the door.
After Mara left, I mustered all my strength to stand up and lock the door. I closed all the lights, turned off the TV and the aircon so that there would be total silence and I could hear what was happening outside the room. I sat on the floor beside the window waiting for the rescue that Mara promised. However, it did not come. After quite some time, I used my cell phone to text my mother and some friends asking for help. It was only after I did that the rescue finally arrived.
At the ambulance together with Ramgen, I tried to see if he was alive. So I called his name. Ramgen responded by opening his eyes while laying motionless. I called him again, he opened his eyes again. At that time I felt some relief knowing that Ramgen was still alive.
Contrary to respondent Mara’s claim that there was no sibling rivalry or feud, hereunder are my recollections of incidents, confrontation or arguments between Ramgen on the one hand and his siblings on the other.
I had been in a relationship with Ramgen for the past five (5) years. I had been living with him at his residence at No. 4, President Avenue, BF Homes, Paranaque City also for the past five (5) years and, as such, I had personal knowledge of the situation inside the Bautista household and had been witness to the never ending feud between the Bautista siblings.
As the eldest of the nine siblings with a mother who is diagnosed as schizophrenic, Ramgen had been acting as both the father and the mother in the house. Ramgen is admittedly strict to his younger siblings as he had early on assumed the responsibility of discliplining his younger siblings like a father would.
In the years that I have been part of the household, I had been witness to numerous conflicts and heated arguments, shouting matches, most of which were a result of Ramgen’s way of disciplining his brothers and sisters and putting order in the house. I recall that once, Ramgen had to hit Mara with his Glock 9mm handgun which he had at that time.
After Mara got married to his Turkish boyfriend, Ram also had a tiff with her husband. In one of the many heated arguments of Ramgen and Mara, her husband who was with her then tried to intervene and he got a mouthful from Ramgen. Ramgen pointed his finger at Mara’s husband while telling him to back off since he is not part of the family. After the incident, Mara and Ramgen stopped talking for very long.
Meanwhile, Gail is considered the black sheep of the family. Ramgen would always tell her to fix her life and to choose her boyfriend well since she is often with a guy with a bad background. It is upon the instance of Ramgen that Gail had to break up with several of her relationships as Ramgen did not approve of them.
Gail would always get the ire of Ramgen since she loved to go out on gimmicks and stay up late or even return to the house early in the morning from a night of partying. On one occasion, Gail went home early in the morning after staying out partying the night out. At times Gail will not even go home for days or weeks. Ramgen would naturally get mad and confront Gail about it. Gail is also strong willed and a fighter often challenging Ramgens authority over her. These in turn would infuriate Ramgen even more that would naturally lead to a physical confrontation. At the heat of the moment, Ramgen tried to choke Gail probably as a way of releasing his anger and exasperation over Gail’s disrespectful remarks.
Ramon Joseph (RJ) is normally a timid soft spoken brother. He is submissive to Ramgen and normally follows him. When Ramgen confronts him about his wrong decision, he would normally stay quiet in submission unlike his other siblings who would challenge Ramgen and disrespect him.
Joseph’s conflict with Ramgen normally arises from his buying tech gadgets that are expensive using credit card that would normally strain the family’s finances. In one instance, Ramgen punched Joseph. Other than that, Ramgen would also bully Joseph and tease him as gay for being soft-spoken and quiet.
These are only a few examples that would indicate the causes of deep animosities between the siblings which could explain the motive behind the crimes charged.
I am executing the foregoing affidavit only to attest to the truth of the foregoing.
Here below is Janelle’s first post-crime narration taken down by the police:
Real Justice says
I Know you guys want a real justice ….
But for me i doubt sen bong revilla because
kase ayaw nilang may lumaban sa kanila
alam nila na si RAMGEN ang makakalaban
nila pag nakakuha ng position si ramgen …
It’s just a doubt for me :)

Janelle is after her own publicity only. She and Ramgen were on and off the five years they were together. They were not true solid lovers. People should not be easily deceived by her cries, poems, tweets, and “exclusive” interviews. It’s so sad to see Ramgen’s death being used for her own interest.
angrybird says
maybe..but regardless of what her motives are i think dapat din natin i-weigh yun mga sinasabi nya besides kahit on-off ang relationship the still ‘lived under one roof’ for the past five years and she is still a witness. halos lahat naman sila nagtake advantage sa death ni ramgen, like si Genelyn na pinarating sa buong pilipinas ang kakulangan ng budget na binibigay ni Senior.
plus yung testimonies ni Mara, having so many versions na nga, kahit di magsalita si Janelle di pa rin maiaalis sa mga tao ang magtanong at magduda
EL bobo says
bong revilla – mastermind ? come on!!!!
sobrang galing ng plano naman niya kung siya yun..tugma lahat , and all events unraveled in his favor
angrybird says
ahmm El Bobo are you saying that the plan is too good para maisip yun ni Bong? hahaha…sorry but i really don’t think it is Bong, hindi naman kasi kaagaw sa kayamanan ni Senior si Ramgen, remember maraming anak si Senior sa loob at labas hehe. hindi naman di kaagaw sa position sa pulitika si Ramgen, so wala ako makitang reason for Bong to do that.
naglie low si Bong ngayon as advised by his lawyers dahil pinaparatangan lang sya ni Genelyn na nakikisawsaw at nagpapapogi :D
el bobo says
kaya nga sinabi ko BONG revilla mastermind -cmon??!!! ( as in in disbelief, incredulity and sarcasm) in other words im reacting to all the peeos here insinuating it was bong revilla who masterminded this-cheers

I don’t know where to pick this up … I’m lost in the hullabaloo and drama of it all … BUT still like most of us say [castleville, priscilalu1234 among others] we want solid proof.
Not testimonies summoned and enticed by the hefty reward of 500,000.00.
A 100,000.00 reward would have more than sufficed … but if you have to up the ante as you know it, of course … double, triple … no quintuple it … para slum dunk.
But what really irks me here is why after five years of being together, living under one roof and losing a so called love one … why it is so quick, very quick to get hostile towards one another despite the lost. Could someone be fueling it?
Then, if there is no one, than how did it have just happened according to the police that the siblings did it … Janelle must have know if not should have known the brewing hostility and dangerous situation she was in. No one just gets up one day and decides to kill a brother and his girlfriend. Where is the consciousness there? Are they all schizo ?
And if it was planned as claimed … do you mean Janelle was clueless to the intense hostility.
Then, why was Ramgen toying with guns in his room … that the first attempt failed because they heard a cocking of a gun … was he expecting an ambush? Then, what’s with the urgency of locking the bedroom door being questioned but he can exercise in the lanai freely.

Well Eye, have been wanting to post this for some time. Now that you have spoken, I think I will.
There are no saints in this story.
That said, Janelle’s statement is credible. However, bear in mind that she is in love with Ramgen, is a victim herself, and her hospital bills and lawyer bills are being paid by Bong Revilla.
That said, while this may be her perspective and her experience, between two versions of an incident, the truth is always somewhere in the middle.
Janelle has said that Ramgen is abusive. However, the word she used is discipline. Pistol whipping Mara was discipline. Strangling Gail is discipline. In other statements she mentioned pointing a gun at Mara’s husband. I guess he was disciplining him, too. He told Mara’s husband “You are not part of this family.” Really? They are married. Janelle is not married to Ramgen.
Janelle stayed in the house seeing things like this, for five years. She was probably also in the house when, according to the text messages between Gail and Ramgen before he died, he had been locking up all the food and the little siblings had nothing to eat, and had to go to the father. I don’t know if that is discipline or greed. Ramgen was more concerned about his allowance. When Gail mentioned the food, he said she never gave grocery money for the food. Maybe, IF no money had been given for food, Ramgen should have been more concerned about that than his allowance.
Janelle was in the house while all this happened. Did she also experience Ramgen’s “discipline?” Was she a codependent of Ramgen? Why didn’t they get their own place? Ramgen’s allowance seemed to be big enough. They could have kept up with their careers, or Ramgen could pursue his political career and she could pursue her showbiz career.
Janelle says Ramgen had to discipline Gail, whom she described as the “black sheep” for the company she tended to keep. Looks to me like Ramgen is not good company to keep. He seems to have been more of a black sheep. Sorry, I know he’s dead, but this talk of “discipline” didn’t start with me.
Please check this out. When Ramgen’s sister went to the International Christian Academy, (I think she was in high school then), there was an incident when Ramgen and some men crashed into the school, took a boy and locked the boy in the bathroom where Ramgen and his guys and beat the boy up. Ramgen said he was defending his sister.
Was this an example of how Ramgen had to “discipline” his sister as to the company she keeps? The boy who was beaten up, incidentally, was not a bad seed. Seems like Ramgen was.
And although Janelle was injured, she is no saint either. To live in Ramgen’s house for five years is disrespectful to the mother, schizophrenic or not, and poses a bad example to the siblings that Ramgen felt responsible to “discipline.”
A lot has been said of this family’s dysfunction. Let me ask, where did Ramgen’s bullying habit begin? I believe Sen. Bong said Ramgen lived with them in the mansion. Is that where he learned how to be a bully? I understand too that every Sunday Ramgen went to the mansion because he was being groomed to be a counselor.
What if the hired gun had actually been hired by someone who wanted only the children of one mother to hold government positions in Cavite and in government. What if there had always been resentment in the family and sadness at seeing the suffering of their mother while she was alive, because of Genelyn? Of all the old man’s women, Genelyn was the serious one next to the mother of Bong. And she is the only one now who is alive.
It has been said the old man owns half of Cavite. Also, that he owns cemeteries and cockfight rings. Sharing that with nine people less might be very good for one family. Two week before Ramgen died, the old man had a consecration ceremony. What if it would only be a matter of time before that is given legal sanction?
What if by killing Ramgen, the favorite son of the old man has no one else to groom? What if doing so also gives cause to get Genelyn out of the mansion where she said she cared for Revilla Sr. until this death took place?
What if the other children are blamed for the crime, so that no one else from this family can be groomed, as the immediate son of Revilla Sr., to take Ramgen’s place in running for councilor? What if, at the same time, Genelyn is distanced, and the internal problems of a family is exploited to foster the concealment of the true mastermind?
granmatador says
so BONG REVILLA had ramgen killed to prevent the genelyn family from gaining power in cavite? and then the senator worked a plan to implicate the other kids in this murder to get rid of them too???
that doesnt explain why mara made up a phony story.
it doesnt explain why gail picked mara up and didnt go down to help ramgen and janelle.
it doesnt explain why she was dropped of in starmall, it doesnt explain why she and rj were seen WALKING calmly out of the house by three people.
how do you explain the story of the two “killers” saying they were going to kill ramgen in his room but aborted the plot when they heard ramgen cocking his gun –
corroborated by a SCREEN CAPTURE of the actual chat messages ramgen and janelle were engaged in that evening – COINCEDENCE? or are you saying by your logic that JANELLE was ALSO INVOLVED in the PLOT??? ( for this bit of evidence to come out surely janelle would have tp be involved right??)
how do you explain PASTERA who claims he doesnt know NORWIN and GLAIZA but have a WHOLE ALBUM wherein pastera and norwin are together in the beach???
are you telling us that pastera is also involved in this???
if the plan was too implicate the siblings then the plan is working out brilliantly – coz the SIBLINGS seem to be GENEROUSLY IMPLICATING themselves GRATIS ET AMORE..
or here is an alternative to killing ramgen:
so ramgen is a threat to the revilla clan – how long has ramon sr and family been in power in cavite? how much money do they have ? who contrlols the barangays and influences who gets elected or not – THE REVILAS right? – so INSTEAD of MURDERING their own flesh and blood why not just use their POWER and INFLUENCE to NOT get RAMGEN ELECTED!!! – its much more simpler that way and less bloody …
oh and one last thing – if ALL except one of genelyns family is murdered the last one left standing will get THEIR SHARE of the inheritance – it wont go back to BONG REVILLAS side – when the old man goes the legitimate revillas will get one half and the rest will get thhe other half by law,
PriscillaLu1234 says
Someone killed Ramgen, it may not have been his siblings. He had a temper. He could have gotten the wrong person angry, and that person hired a gun to kill him and took advantage of the family problems to cover up his real identity.
Anyone could do this. It could be, if not Bong REvilla, someone from his side of the family that he has to protect. Genelyn said on an interview that when the old man fell ill in 2008 she stayed in the mansion to care for him. That is natural, she is the living wife that is left. But in such an emotional situation, it is likely others in the mansion didn’t like it.
Someone killed Ramgen. After he died, Genelyn lost all access to the old man, due, she said, to the death. THe old man was not even at the funeral of his favorite son. He has not had anything to say about the state of his other children. Does he know what is happening to the,? Smoke him out. Let him make an appearance and let him comment on what is happening to his other children. Let the true condition of his health be known. Parents brave war zones for their children. Why is he kept silent?
Ramona’s testimony has continually changed and she has acted erratically. But if someone has grown up in a situation of trauma, the tendency is to always keep out for one’s safety and to avoid any threat to safety. Judging from testimonies of Janelle, etc., this house was dysfunctional. That could explain Ramona’s behavior. It does not conclude that she would kill her brother. She was also tipsy when the event happened and Janelle was wounded.
The facebook story of knocking on the door and Ramgen talking to Janelle on Facebook is corroborrated by the two funny guys’ testimonies. Why did they consider it a situation of danger in his room? Again, it is a room in a house. The incident itself invites a lot more questions about this muddy situation.
I wonder what the old man’s last will and testament will be now that he is being kept incommunicado. I wonder if even now properties are being transferred to names of people who are holding him in their control.
schooled says
interesting theories if not a tad bit complicated for it all to pan out for bong revilla (am i right , thats who has the most to get out it , that is what is insinuated here correct me if i am wrong

you and chooks to go have the same theories exceot he/she cant write as well as you do..

what’s janelles being a “saint or non-saint got anything to do with this whole thing???
and so what if ramgen becomes councilor? senator trumps councilor everytime. and there is also strike revilla right? and several other revillas who could go up against ramgen if it came to that…what if ramgen ran and the legit side of the whole revilla clan just put in another candidate and used thier influence to stymie ramgens political aspirations – there are much easier ways to get ramgen out of politics..killing him is not on of them
PriscillaLu1234 says
Whether Janelle is a saint or not should warn us that we should take what she says with a grain of salt. She may be sincere, but she may also be manipulated by the fact that her hospital bills and lawyer bills are being paid by Bong.
Ramgen’s death may or may not be politically motivated. If a first blood relative of Bong called for the killing, then he has his own to protect. Ramgen was no threat to politics but he was being groomed by his father. There are personal and political conflicts all intertwined here.
Ramgen may not even be the target here. Janelle was shot first. Even if she was nearest the door, Ramgen is the strongest to defend himself. It would make sense to make him the first target. There was a story of a man who raped 8 women one by one with just a knife.
To immediately agree with the testimonies of these people who came up after a reward was offered is what I have issue with. Blood spatters, weapon, hairs, etc. are the real evidence. With the short time frame from the death and knowledge of the death, the best they could do with is testimony?
These people are being tried by media based on testimony from policemen based on testimony from people who came out after the reward money was offered.

ang alam ko wala na siya sa mansion matagal na siya sa “mansion” kaya nga nbinigyan siya ng bahay sa bf to keep her out of the mansion..
at saka dun sa komment mong 9 less to share hindi ganun ang batas…maski na sa jail yun mga bata they stillrecieve their fair share..maski na patayin mo lahat sila hindi mappupunta kena bong revilla fully – genelyns families portion will go back into the main pot to be split again 50-50 by the remaining families – parang maliit na ang hatiaan para magpatay ka ng bata

Ay PriscillaLu1234 … I have to thank you, grandmatador and our host Raissa for I haven’t had a good laugh in a long time but after reading your post [serious, thorough and in-depth] then moving on to granmatador’s beginning line … I bursted out into an uncontrollable laughter … really LOL. No offense meant to any of you. Its just how the conclusion came about … as I read it all at once.
Seriously now, a lot has to be said for how Ramgen was as a son, brother and boyfriend. One can’t be so different the other, for love has to be the fundamental ingredient, if not by choice than by affinity … for one can not truly love without loving your own.
I do maintain that the apparent abusive nature of Ramgen had to have spilled over to Janelle. Five years is an awfully long time to be with someone with such a nature without it affecting you somewhat. I’d take it further and say that abusers almost always never leave their pry. And, if by a remote chance they do, they hold steadfast to their faulty claim with firm control through whatever means possible … as such is the example of when Ramgen pointed the gun to Mara’s husband. [Mara was in his control before she bailed out and got married.] Ramgen was affirming his waning control.
Janelle should seek therapy, not just for the horrible experience/lost, injury but also for the years of being with an abuser. That way she will know that love didn’t have to be so. Victims of abuse find themselves under a cloud of misconceptions portrayed for them by the abuser to think lowly of themselves or that it is their fault. I say victims because it is never by choice but rather by conditioning and years of programming through a cycle. It is not always bad for there is a honeymoon stage to a building period until the outburst happens and then, honeymoon, etc … again. Once on this cycle, the victim can not get off … always thinking that it will get better … often if not always defending the abuser at their or everybody else expense.
Abuse need not always be physical and for most of the time it is psychological, emotional, financial, and sexual … having said that, Ramgen didn’t have to go out to acquire this behaviour, he was born into it … the dysfunctional relationship of this parents. His regard for women couldn’t have been ideal. The master of abuse is his father.
Having grown up and exposed to the Cavite clan couldn’t have helped any. He just saw the extreme polarities of his home life to theirs. So then it would be logically for him to be the ever pleasing son to the old man … gaining his favor … which then could be the envy of the grandchildren, his piers and his half siblings, his elders. What a very tight predicament.
The pain and hurts felt by Sen Bong’s mother must have dribbled down on to her children … though disguised, for the old man would have it no other way but absolute acceptance.
So when Genelyn made her second move after her first attempt failed, [which got her the house in BF], she must have appeared to the onlookers that she was making yet another play with her noble effort to care for the old man by moving into the mansion to care for him after his stroke.
With this in mind, PriscillaLu1234 I could very well appreciate this to be a bigger plan with much more of a motive than what is being sold to us at the moment. This could very well be a more realistic motive with benefits and strike all scenario.
Sen Bong should have discerned his role in this before jumping in it with a press con and giving out the reward money of 500,00 which could very well buy any tale you want. [Just who are these so called witnesses? Were they there?] Either, he takes the family’s role as their senator or stay out of it as the Senator of the country. For him to come in and bail out when the issues get sticky especially when the children need someone (a father) is not right.
granmatador says
eye,
why dont you spell out what you really think is going on ? tell us what you think the motive is and how you came about with it, tell us who you think is behind it , it would reallly be great to hear an alternate theory other than the siblings angle,
eye says
We have all found ourselves here because … we have doubts, we are disturbed, we are concerned … bottom line … we all care in one way or another and I would like to believe that we all want justice.
It is NOT our role to investigate but to QUESTION the facts presented to us, the public. Some have delegated that privilege to the media with absolute acceptance of what they say to be the truth, … while others refrain with reservations to find their answers elsewhere like here on this blog … I am one of those.
I’m been exposed to far too many life’s misfortune PLAYED OUT IN THE MEDIA, messed up by our not too keen police officers from the booking officer in your local precincts, to the PDEA, NBI, DOJ … TO TAKE to heart everything they say to be the absolute truth. Too many lives/families have been ruined by the non professional journalism that those lives they touch have been left cursed by society on the account of sales and ratings.
At the moment the whole family of Ramgen, his mother to his youngest sibling is being blighted by this and I for one DO NOT condone this.
I also understand that the Magsaysay Bautista clan is not too endowed with the grace befitting the “stature” of being a Revilla as it seems by the recent exposure of their intimate lifestyle brought on by the onset of the tragedy.
But without a clear cut motive [something to gain] and solid evidence as PriscillaLu1234 says, forensic stuff … and not just the rewarded storyline of the so called ‘guns for hired’; I’m with Priscilla1234 in that there was and has to be a bigger plot at play. Chooks, has a lot of information that leaves me pondering …
What was there to gain by killing their abusive brother, … vengeance, more allowance? They already striped Ramgen of his position and control according to ‘forensic evidence professionally acquired’ text messages from Ramgen cell phone and Gail’s (see post in Raissa’s ‘Senator Revilla’s other woman’). The old man turned over the management of the household/family finances over to Gail.
Also, in the same text messages, you will read that Gail and Ramona were not free loading but on the contrary they both contributed to pay for the Meralco bill and etc.
granmatador, I was once attacked in my father’s beach house. When the intruder grabbed and held me by the neck at the dark bedroom hallway … my first reaction was that it was my father playing a trick on me but it turned out to be an intruder with a bolo. That is why I question; why the paranoia of someone knocking at your bedroom door. Also, how was Ramgen so certain that is was an intruder when he supposedly did see anyone? Then, why has the village guards not render that in evidence if Ramgen did call it in?
As per the facebook chat … oh well, there is so much new facebook accounts opened now, I can’t discern which is legitimate from made up.
Ramona appears to be very unstable but that doesn’t make her guilty of the crime. Anyone planning a ‘take out’ would think twice to use her as an accomplish.
I can’t provide an alternative scenario only that I have yet to be convinced beyond a reasonable doubt.

first of all janelle knew of the brewing hostility, she devotes one half of her affidavit to it.
and ramgen..
he wasnt “toying” with a gun in his room – read the facebook thread, he got the gun after he heard someone loudly knocking on his door and htn cocked the gun to scare them away
why did he have a gun>? baka mahlilig siya sa boga, macho siya, whatever , a lot of men have guns int hier room to protect their families from evil peoplke ( in this case it really made sense for him to have a gun right? too bad he didnt have ot on him at the time of the murder)
all you have to do is read the affidaviit of janelle and its alle xplained there – what dont you get eye???
whats your logic with the lanai and what has it got to do with the bedroom door???
did you even read before commenting???

Tungkol naman sa therapy– Janelle needs physiotherapy and trauma counselling and she can benefit greatly from these. Genelyn and her family members should undergo family therapy but prior to this, it has to be ascertained if there are existing mental health issues amongst the family members para ma-i- adjust kung anong klaseng therapy ang nararapat sa kanila.

Just like you mumu, I have read a lot of stuff on this case and perhaps I connected the urgency or point of closing / locking the door to one of Ramona’s stories and then again with the mention of it in Janelle’s affidavit.
Still, now that you have called my attention to it, allow me to direct you to why I was of that impression. Why bother explaining why she didn’t close the door [ “Then I heard a knock on the door. I opened it and it was Mara. Mara left the door open and it did not occur to me to close it because I thought that Mara would be inside only for a short while.” ] if it was not a practice to lock it or if there was no sense of danger in the mist?
Barely an hour ago, he was training in the lanai right … quite freely and openly … gives the impression that all was safe.
My point being is : If he felt safe training in the lanai why would he be paranoia when he was in the sanctuary of his own bedroom? Both Ramona and Janelle makes reference to why neither one of them bothered to closed the door. What’s with the closing of the door … I too ask.
But then as testified by the so called ‘guns for hire’ if we are to take them seriously … weeks before when they tried the first attempt, they were warned off when upon knocking (loudly as you say) by a cocking of a gun. That’s a bit too weird don’t you think?
I too have a gun by my beside but I would never ever cock it upon hearing a knock at my bedroom door, however loud it is. For to cock a gun means you better be ready to fire it. What’s with all the paranoia about? You feel safe in the lanai but afraid in your bedroom?
What I get from all the stuff I have read, mind you, they were a lot and that is Ramgen was no saint (God bless his soul). To “strictly discipline” as per Janelle’s affidavit of gun swiping your sister, choking the other one and teasing your brother to be gay is no discipline but rather abusive to say the very least.

‘forget the door, paranoia and the lanai for a second.
you and prescilla1234 seem to think that its all a set-up right???
you do not think that the gunmen should be taken seriously – so meaning that you doubt their statements about the first attempt?
well how do you explain the facebook chat that janelle saved that corroborates the gunmen’s statement on that night?
if it was created to bolster the gunmens story then janelle had to be in on it ( the gunmen wouldnt have known if ramgen was chatting with janelle, and janelle would save the chat right?) think about the ramifications…
granmatador says

whats weird??? that they were scared off by the cocking of the gun???
or whats weirder – the story of janelle and the gumen are the same???
PriscillaLu1234 says
i think I see your point, Eye. Why is he worried about someone knocking on his door? Wouldn’t a killer just break in and shoot? The affidavits of the two other guys are very funny, but again, I would not say they could be 100 % true. Truth tends to be somewhere in the middle.
It would be so easy to get all the evidence from the crime scene, having learned of it so soon after. Blood spatters. specimens. hairs. Whatever else, that could tell a story. Paraffin testing. weapon.
All these testimonies surfacing after a reward is posted is suspicious. And why did Bong Revilla show up, where was the lola of the children? Where was their father? He wasn’t even at the death of his favorite son.
EL bobo says
why focus on ramgen worrying or not worrying about someone knocking on the door???
focus on the fact that janelle has the copy of the facebook chat they had during that exact moment.
if there is a BIGGGER conspiracy here it is the fact that she corroborates the two killers…if the two killers are not telling the truth then WHY does janelle have a facebook chat with this situation lined up with the klllers story
now what is more believable to you guys at this stage
a. that the killers are NOT telling the truth ( which means janeele is part of the conspiracy )
b. that the killers are telling the truth and is SUBSTANTIATED by janelle manahan tone of the victims
come on … use your brains!!!
PriscillaLu1234 says
The facebook chat is weird, and the photoshot doesn’t show the date of that the chat was taken. Why should it be dangerous to open the door of one’s own room? What polite killers, to knock first.
granmatador says
so you think that janelle faked the chat? or at least colluded with someone to fabricate that FB chat???? whats her motive then???
knock on the door – maybe he already knew something was up , you have womens intuition men have thier own radar.
PriscillaLu1234 says
The chat came out on the page, Maria Ramona Bautista is NOT innocent. I don’t know who is the administrator of that page.

inexplain naman ni ramgen as to why he got worried when someone knocked and nobody answered..kung mommy nya daw kasi yun or anybody in the family sasagot naman sa pagtanong nya ng SINO YAN? he even called the guards alerting them na ‘MERON YATANG NAKAPASOK SA BAHAY’
come on di mo naman kelangan isipin na killer agad it could be magnanakaw and alam nating sa pilipina hindi naman kagulat gulat ang mga akyat bahay gang?!
el bobo says
i agree with angrybird. your putting too much meaning on every lil move – parang sinasabi ninyo na rin nakasabwat si janelle na dito sa pagkapatay ni ramgen klasi kung peke itong facebook chat peke din si janelle

EYE AND PRESCILLAHU1234
you know what i really find strange??? its the fact that you guys concentrating on “locking the door, exercising in the lanai” rubbish. why not check out the red flags in the siblings story – dont you find it strange that they didnt call the cops, didnt call the guards at the gate which was so close to thier house? mara leaving the country, genelyn asserting now that it was janelle that was the taget and ramgen just collateral damage??? how about the phony story mara made up- why did the siblinngs agree to go along with the story..geez
granmatador says
“For to cock a gun means you better be ready to fire it” idiocy .
from ramagens chat in facebook with janelle:
“kinasa ko yun baril ko kasi nga kung si mommy yun nagsalita na yun o ikung sino ba sa house..”
so obvious naman something was amiss with the way the person(s) were knocikng on the door right ??? so it isnt werid at all – at saka yun comment mo sa lanai alanganing..ramgen was with his PA and janelle two of the people he trusted so why would he be insecure there diba???
granmatador says
ramgen probably felt or had an inkling already of the plans on his life..if it was thta “kalat” already someone could have tipped him off – hence the paranoia

Although watching a lot of crime procedurals in TV does not make me an expert, I find it weird that Mara was spared that fateful night, she was even unharmed. Wouldn’t it be logical for the killer not to leave a witness to the crime? I don’t know her and i don’t want any harm to befall on her, but their situation that night was really odd. The killer had the weapon, they don’t. He could have easily killed Ramgen, Janelle and Mara, and yet Mara was able to leave the house with nary a scratch on her.
Crime procedurals would often point to the survivors as either witnesses or the suspects to the crime. Not sure if the same is true in real life. I guess it is best to leave the investigation to the experts.

this is good info. but i just have one concern: aren’t you compromising Janelle’s security by revealing all this info especially the part of revealing her address.

I’m sure her enemies know these things already.
And the killers, too.
I considered that.
If I can get hold of this, I’m sure they’ve gotten hold of it.

MARA : “ganito gawin natin, drop of ninyo ako sa starmall, wala akong sapatos tapos mag-aacting , aku dun, makikita ako ng sikyo at mga tumitinda – they will back up my story that i was in starmall dazed and confused..from there i will ask someone to call the cops and then i will tell them that i got abducted and dropped of near star mall – at least may witness ako sa story na yan..”
she gets to the police station she tells her story .
days later she has to change it coz janelle is very much alive
so now her story says she was brought STRAIGHT to the police station but mara forgets the fact that being dropped off in starmall is integral to her phony alibi ..
and here is a news report from tv5
“However, police said the security guards and vendors near the establishment (starmall) claimed that they did not notice any vehicle dropping off Ramona. They only saw her approach a food stall and ask for help, saying her brother had been killed. While the guards were talking to Ramona, a vehicle arrived and brought her to the police station…”
now her new affidavit says it was because of the media presence that she made up the story right there and then- that still doesnt explain why you were in starmall, which is a detail you suspiciuosly left out in your new affidavit?
so are the security guards and vendors lying too??? how about the cops who picked you up in starmall ?
if the phony abductors never brought you too starmall who did?
if it was your siblings and in-law- then why? that could only mean that they were in on your failed phony story
either way your screwed.
intrigued says
I only saw this CARL– well scrutinised and well done. Mara changed her story because she doesn’t want to face up to the fact that she KNOWS who killed her BROTHER. She KNOWS who are the minds behind Ramgen’s MURDER. It’s just so fortunate that Janelle is alive to tell the tale. MARA is not gonna get away with this—it’s just a matter of time. Tick tock tick tock tick tock ….
PriscillaLu1234 says
Could you also get the background of the PA? What is his job? Mara seemed to say that he is also Ramgen’s security guard. Also, it was said in a previous comment that he was being paid by the senate?
Chooks to go says
the PA works under the office of the Senate…

FIT? Other than that the killer wore mask and green jacket, wala naman ibang description si Janelle at Mara sa killer.
Know what. I just realized Chooks to go’s language sounds eerily familiar. The posts here are the same rhetoric spewed by RJ and Ramona’s siblings in their facebook support pages.
curious nerd says
Chooks, if you know so much, why don’t you go to the police and reveal everything that you know about the case. If you REALLY REALLY REALLY want to clear the bautista siblings, you can go to the police and say your piece. Just saying…
schooled says
