I had an accident

Sorry for not updating.

I did have materials – in fact several pieces I wanted to write.

But I met an accident while out on an interview and I had to go the rounds of an x-ray, an orthopaedic surgeon to rule out fracture, and had to lie in bed with my leg propped up, first with ice and then with a heating pad.

I’m in less pain now and can limp about with a crutch.

As a result, however, my deadlines are all backed up and I’ve had to cancel some interviews and events I was scheduled to attend.

I managed to write a new piece for my blog and will soon upload it. I could not upload it last night because I was just too sleepy – the painkiller, I guess.

excellent investigative reporting. reminds me of the Free Press era in the ’60’s.
more power and lots of good breaks doing your love– ferreting out the truth…
    hope nothing serious re. accident.
you can count on us upians, disgruntled with corruption in our beloved homeland.

Don’t put too much pressure on it para gumaling kaagad and stay in bed for a while, hayaan mo na muna si Allan to make your coffee and prepare your breakfast, lunch and dinner. Paminsan-minsan let him treat like a Queen parang noong bago mo siyang nakilala just like the first time….hahaha….Get well soon…God Bless you and your family…

Naku, pagaling ka kaagad. Siguro dami na ng advice sa iyo pero for my family, my kids who are absolute sports jocks, whenever they get hurt, request kaagad sila sa dad nila ng “ginger therapy” – it’s slicing up ginger and warming it up and then wrapping it up a bit with paper towel in order not to have it so harsh for skin. Then you wrap it around the affected area and let it stay there usually overnight. 99.9% it works for us.

I even used it when I was almost paralyzed after childbirth. Many of my Canadian friends are now swearing by that remedy.

But, most of all, we’ll pray for your speedy recovery and more pampering going your way.

Raissa, don’t rush the recovery. I speak with the experience of an elder citizen like yourself. The body always take a bit longer to heal as the years go by. Get well soon and take very good care of yourself.

I pray that the blood of Jesus will cover you so that the works of the Arch-enemy cannot prosper against you. Just bear in mind that Jesus had healed you 2000 years ago. Just convince yourself that His Word is faithful & true. God bless you & take care.
