My heart is full. My mind says no.

While we all wait, I’d like to share with you two of the articles I have written on Local Governments Secretary Jesse Robredo. The third one, I have not been able to reconstruct since it went down with my site last year.

The two articles will explain why Robredo is a rare gem among public servants.

The first one I wrote in 1999 for Asiaweek of the Time-CNN Group.

Below is a screen cap.

To read the rest, please go to the Time-CNN website by clicking on this link.

The second piece was written one year later also for Asiaweek. This time, I was asked to do a short profile of him. Asiaweek did not tell me that it was to accompany the announcement for that year’s Ramon Magsaysay Awardees. Robredo was the awardee for government service.

Below is a screencap.

NO amount of prayers can save Robledo, speaking about spirituality, He is already SAVED, praying for him for what? this are all hypocrisy, what we all must do is to pursue what Roledo’s left behind , at least we can say that the good secretary did not die in vain. The question is, WHO WILL BE THE MAN/WOMAN THAT CAN FIT OR HAS THE GUTS WITH THE SAME MORAL VALUES TO CONTINUE THAT KIND OF PUBLIC GOVERNANCE SEC ROBLEDO DID.? We will find the answer soon, meantime we will give a benefit of the doubt to Mar Roxas, because whether we like it or not , he was appointed by the President and please for the moment, STOP criticizing Mar, specially those negative , the best we can do is to push Mar to make good of the trust given to him. He needs more encouragement than anything negative. Go on MAR, I believe you can do more with what you have in yourself. We will pray for your success.

The order was to secure Robledo’s office and not the personal condo unit of Sec. Robledo, is a personal decision of Mr Puno and that would make him to answer WHY? Does Puno knows more? or he wants something to be found. Let’s go to the Senate investigations where there will be NO HOLDS BAR…

Crash survivor shows up at Palace wake
Philippine Daily Inquirer, 12:44 am | Sunday, August 26th, 2012

Unseen by many, Senior Insp. Jun Paolo Abrazado, 26, the aide of Interior Secretary Jesse Robredo who survived the crash, slipped into the Kalayaan Hall at about 5:15 a.m. Saturday.

Standing in front of the flag-draped coffin, Abrazado placed both his hands on the bier and bowed his head in prayer. He then walked to the altar where he knelt down and appeared to pray again.

Abrazado, who was with his parents and two other female companions, came at an hour when there were very few mourners or reporters at the vigil. The group stayed for about 30 minutes.

Ronald Llamas, the presidential political adviser and Cavite Rep. Joseph Abaya could be seen attending to Abrazado’s group. Rogelio Constantino Medina
