I am very much disturbed about Facebook. When I opened my FB page moments ago, a notice to me popped out that FB had received reports that a certain post I made on FB violated FB community standards.
And I was asked to review this particular post.
It turned out to be Part 1 of Senator Vicente Sotto III turno en contra speech which I had pasted verbatim on my Facebook page from the Senate website. (Later, I posted the same on this blog. )
I am being flagged by FB for posting a senator’s speech?
Is it possible someone claimed this public speech is protected by COPYRIGHT?
I don’t believe this. Someone reported me to FB because I posted a senator’s speech. I want to know what community standards I violated.
So if my personal FB page goes down again, you will know why.
BECAUSE I POSTED PART I OF SENATOR VICENTE SOTTO III’s TURNO EN CONTRA SPEECH on FAcebook.

Here’s a partial screen cap of the FB notice I received just minutes ago.
I told my hubby Alan about it. He said he had received the same notice:

copying for a speech is deceiving the people in a sense that you are not perceived as how far your intelligence range.

sen.sottos speech was taken down from the senate website-poorly done damage control. I think they want to erase the history of the blunder gone internationally famous, sorry damage already done.

FYI. FB team doesn’t review any complains submitted to them. they are just relying on the number of complains. Imagine if Sen. Sotto have 200 staff not to mention the friends and relatives etc.. etc.. and all of them will “click” report this post, of course the automated “FB Team” will process the “complain” and will warn you or bring down your page. Depends on the numbers. Paano ko nasabit ‘to?? I know ‘coz its my job.. Also try to picture this, FB is receiving millions of complains every hour, do you think they have the manpower to review all of it? No.
So if you want to wage war with Sen. Sotto, ask your friends and relatives to click “report this post” and you will see what I’m trying to say. :D make sure that the number of reports is enough to bring his page down. More than 100 click is enough, I think. :D
I will start clicking after I finished my coffee… LoL

I don’t know that FB has guidelines in posting comments, but one site I found out that only publishes anti-Aquino comments is that of Manila Standard-Today. I replied to the comment on Kit Tatad’s column “The Nation Mourns” from a Virgilio Lazo who posted unacceptable remarks vs the Aquinos & praises Marcos effusively. My reply was deleted and this is not the first time it’s happened! Isn’t Teddy Locsin the publisher? What happened to him as the last time I read a column from his it was a pro-Corona piece? Forgive my ignorance as I have just came back to retire here, so any update would be most welcome.

I mourn his “passing.” The ferocious wit is gone–replaced by spite.
If the old Teddy Locsin resurrects, I will not know. I have stopped reading the new one.
