Sen. Sotto accuses bloggers of payoffs & proposes an “anti-blogging” bill

Dear members of Cyber Plaza Miranda,

Please watch the video of Senator Vicente Sotto giving a privilege speech on the Senate floor – in other words, using OUR MONEY to defend himself – against criticisms of plagiarism. He says such a law against plagiarism does not exist in our statute books.

He had the borrowed unattributed quotation from Sarah Pope stricken off the Senate records but ignored the other five instances of plagiarism on his part.    He merely kept silent on these.

But let me not expound further on the issue.

Please watch the ANC video yourself and then write what you think of it.

what is he trying to say now? he is the trying to manipulate the whole RH Bill. Not the RH Bill manipulating the people… Because the RH Bill regardless if passed or not people have rights to choose on how to make their own family. Whenever, Wherever, and Whatever they want.

Is he ok? Sotto are you ok?

the RH Bill is only a supplementary to the existing law which is already a bill of the RP. You are mistaking the RH Bill for China’s law. This not to control the population, but to teach people the alternatives so they can plan their life and theri families life for a better or suitable future. I guess it doesn’t matter to you(Sen. Sotto) anyways.

The FACT is YOU HAVE MISTAKES AND YOUR TURNO EN CONTRA IS NOT ALIGNED WITH THE MAJORITY AND MINORITIES OF THE FILIPINOS CURRENT AND PAST LIVES AND SITUATIONS.

AND SINCE THIS PART OF A BLOG, FORUM, WEBPAGE, SOCIAL NETWORK AND OTHERS CONSIDERED… I SAY THIS WITH MY SOLEMN RIGHTS OF FREEDOM, GIVEN BY GOD, THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES, THE CONSTITUTION, AND ITS PEOPLE…..

    THE FREEDOM OF SPEECH
THE FREEDOM AND RIGHT TO HAVE MY PERSONAL DESICIONS

AND MORE RIGHT OF FREEDOM.. THAT ALL EITHER BLOGGERS OR NOT, OFFLINE OR ONLINE.. HAS THE RIGHT TO PRACTICE THIS FREEDOM AND RIGHTS.

    pla•gia•rism
an act or instance of using or closely imitating the language and thoughts of another author without authorization and the representation of that author’s work as one’s own, as by not crediting the original author:

It is shown that the last part of the speech is the translation of Robert Kennedy’s speech

And based on the meaning of plagiarism: “representation of that author’s work as one’s own”,
ano sinabi ni tito sotto, eto: “Except dun sa mga binanggit ko, galing sa akin ito,”

Nabanggit ba nya si kennedy kahit minsan sa speech nya?

He just doesn’t get it, does he? He wants everyone to focus on the issue, completely forgetting that, by plaigiarizing, he deflected esential focus from the veracity of the message to the dishonesty and lack of integrity of the messenger.

If he says there’s no law against plagiarism, neither is there a law against cyber bullying. If he dislikes being hit for flagrant and habitual plagiarism, what’s his beef about being ‘cyber bullied’ for plagiarism?

Yep, looks like he’s at it again.

I’m trying to find a news/article about it…found blogs though of the “tagalized” speech of Robert Kennedy instead.

Googling “Robert Kennedy speech South Africa” gives it all though.

Kaso lang I find it ridiculous for everyone to spend time disecting his speech and researching if parts of it are “lifted” per se from an existing article…blog…speech…or what have you….

Isn’t it obvious already? I think there’s nothing to prove really.

Next thing we know…Villacorta and his copy-paste staff might probably be compiling Michelle Obama’s speeches for future use…Hehehe!

matatawa ka naman sa sagot ni tito sotto: “Marunong pala managalog si Kennedy ha,”

Looks like I did the searching a few minutes earlier. LOL!

Just after 10 minutes and articles about Tito Sen’s latest stunt is aplenty.

This might be offtopic in a way. But here’s a good read from CNN and this is the reason why I support RH Bill

tito sotto still hasn’t answered the allegations that he plagiarized from 4 other bloogers… and, he keeps on harping that netizens blew the plagiarism issue out of proportion cos they couldn’t counter his anti-RH views. he simply ignores the fact that physicians, scientists, and laymen have blasted his antiquated research repeatedly. judging from his actions during the past few weeks, i don’t think he will accept this challenge.

Another ill-educated statement from Professor Sotto. He couldn’t even control his own thoughts, for whatever he has in there, and now he wanted to control freedom of speech, rather than to protect the rights of every citizen to online free expression. He could not even control his own speech writers, and now he wanted to control blogging!!!! Just give Sotto as a gift to North Korea or China where online free expression is strictly policed.

The late honorable Dolphy once said “Ano ang gagawin ko, kung manalo ako” when asked about running for politics. Well, Sotto is now a best case study of Dolphy’s “What If I Win?” theory.
