I would nominate for a sTuipid award the Black River director who sits on AgriNurtures board, James Sayre. In 2011, this supposedly renowned private equity fund sank nearly 400 million pesos to buy ANI shares at almost 9 pesos a share. With a Harvard MBA and a senior position at the Cargill owned fund, one would think he would have guided and overseen ANI and Mr. Tiu in achieving corporate responsibility and success. Instead ANI has nothing to show but losses and the stock has steadily declined to one fourth of its value. This was before Tiu’s embarassing and prevaricating performances at the Senate hearings!

My thoughts:
1. DAR Secretary’s familiarity with Tony Tiu:
Just curious about the statement of the Secretary of DAR.
Apparently he and his employees have been “socializing” with Tony Tiu, and in fact have been visiting Tiu’s another farm.
Considering that Tiu is in the business of acquiring large acres of lands for agricultural or agro-tourism purposes, and hence the possibility of involvement of the Department of Agrarian Reform in the process of these acquisitions, is the good Secretary not courting a conflict of interest? If not, at the very least it would seem to me that there is something legally wrong with the implication.
2. Tony Tiu:
It appears to me that this guy can lie straight face because in fact he has got nothing to lose. Mr. Tiu appears to me as Binay’s creation, sub rosa definitely. So everything that Tiu has, and whatever he thinks his status at present is, he owes this to Binay. So Tiu will give his all to protect Binay. Name. Money. Reputation. Everything.
Tiu should be made to clearly realize that if one is caught lying under oath, it is industry practice to go to jail.
3. Atty. Subido:
It appears to me that this lawyer has already violated his professional responsibilities. Among which is a clear conflict of interest when he drafted the one-page memorandum of agreement between Tiu/Sunchamp and Laureano Gregorio. Subido is the Corporate Secretary of Sunchamp and lawyer of Tony Tiu, the buyer (supposedly), and he is also the lawyer of Laureano Gregorio, the seller. Representing both the seller and the buyer in a transaction is a clear conflict of interest to me.
4. Sen. Trillanes:
The good Senator has to brush-up his debating skills, especially that he accepted Binay’s challenge to a debate.
I agree that the truth is on the Senator’s side, but the truth is not self-revealing. Some bad-ass need to kick the can for the truth to come out rioting on Binay’s face. The Senator could be the one, but like all endeavors without divine intervention, preparation is the key.
5. Raissa:
What can I say? Cheers!
I noticed that a good part of the information revealed in that hearing had already been discussed in the previous pieces in this blog by the commenters. I am particularly talking about the gambling issue and the issue about the horses in Binay’s name which were previously revealed by commenters in this blog.

@rejtatel, sa committe hearing raissa was under oath and what was revealed was very incriminating. It’s time for VP Binay to rebut it under oath also (hindi yung naglilibot sya at nagpapaliwanag in public).

Correct…..why is the Binay camp so silent on what ms. Raissa has testified on? di siguro kayang maipaliwanag ang napakaliwanag na katotohanan.
