Sen. Chiz infuriates Marcos family

USE THIS - 2016 Elections UPDATES June 8-15Only a block of cheese, er, Chiz stands between Sen. Bongbong Marcos Jr. and the vice-presidency.

Which is why, one political analyst told me, the Marcos family is infuriated at Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero.

Who is he anyway? Just the son of Salvador “Sonny” Escudero, a former alalay of their late patriarch, President Ferdinand Marcos.

And what’s the hurry? Sen. Chiz is only 46 years old, plus his term ends yet in 2019. While Sen. Bongbong is 58 and is “graduating” next year. Meaning, if he loses next year he will have to sit out at least three years to get back into another elective post.

The least that Sen. Chiz could do – to show some gratitude to the Marcos family – is to give way to Sen. Bongbong, and perhaps even endorse him. That way, Sen. Bongbong will have an easy shot at the vice-presidency. That’s what the Marcoses are trying to tell Sen. Chiz right now.

But Sen. Chiz is stubborn, at least for now. He is not dropping out. He has been topping all poll surveys for the vice-presidential race, with Sen. Bongbong now running a far second. In the 2010 presidential race, Sen. Chiz backed out at the last minute, joined the Aquino campaign. Yun pala, DPA for Mayor Jejomar Binay. LOL. Despite this, the LP still fielded Chiz as “guest candidate” for senator in 2013, along with Grace Poe.

You could say the LP created its own problems for 2016.

What’s the voter appeal of Sen. Chiz and Sen. Grace Poe? If you look at the video clips of their rally in Tawi-Tawi, they both look like kids waving to the crowd. And the voter profile is getting younger and younger.

How about Rep. Leni Robredo? How is she doing?

The analyst told me it may be “too late” for her to spurt to the head of the pack.

From what I have seen in previous elections, nothing is “too late” unless you think it.

My favorite analyst conceded so many unexpected things could still happen. “Mahabang sitcom ito.” he said.

Bring out the popcorn?

Digest: finally people will vote for the candidate who is at the stage they are themselves. Stage 7 is much better. It is logical and organized. I have seen it work over here. But of course it only works if the people implementing it have internalized Stages 6 and 7. Daang Matuwid had its difficulties in forcing Stage 6, sometimes using people who still were partly in Stage 5 or even below.

Stage 1: bands, Stage 2: villages, Stage 3: warlords, Stage 4: God-Kings, Stage 5: rebels/prophets, Stage 6: moral lawmakers, Stage 7: secular lawmakers and organizers.

Bongbong is a good guy to Duterte because Duterte was never tortured or killed during Martial Law. Neither did any KIN of Duterte.

That’s WHY Bongbong is a good guy. Ask then Duterte if the Papa of Bongbong – Pres. Ferdinand M. Marcos was a good guy. If Duterte answers ‘He was also a GOOD GUY’. . . do not ask anymore Duterte.

I just saw the surveys. I’ve said this before, Mar as a candidate needs a lot of convincing. My sister said that he lacks the appeal and that he just fades out in the scene. My family likes Pnoy but in this election, they are more on Grace Poe or Duterte. The two looks more decisive and strong compare to Mar Roxas. For them Mar is weak.

If Pnoy will join Mar in the campaign maybe his name will go up again in the surveys. Maybe Leni Robredo will be known to the much wider public. It would be an added bonus if Kris joins the campaign. The way I see it in order for him to win, It’s either Mar makes himself more interesting or depend on the popularity of the Aquino family. Or maybe a miracle will happen.

It’s not too late yet for PNoy to boost the fading popularity of his anointed one – together with Mar, they can launch a serious & determined campaign to eradicate the menace of illegal drugs – the root cause of many evils that destroy mostly the future of young generation & family harmony.

Abolish first the useless PDEA and create a fearsome Vice Squad composed of selected NBI agents & PNP Special Action Forces whose primordial aim is to catch, imprison and destroy the drug lords & their sophisticated drug laboratories scattered nationwide.

Time is of the essence and immediate continuing action, with good results, will surely convince the public that Daang Matuwid is the better choice.

When politicians ALWAYS smiles at you and everybody, WATCH YOUR SIX! He/She will be ready to STEAL you and your MONEY.

Compare Mar Roxas to Duterte. The latter ALWAYS smiles. He talks touching his chin. Then hurls invectives words. He promises to kill (kuno) the criminals. He curses the KORUPTS. But Duterte will not do such things when he is President.

Mar Roxas has nothing of that like Duterte. Because Mar is really the GOOD GUY. Duterte is the BAD one.

Mar Roxas will not be a goner. If he does not win he is still Mar Roxas. Duterte is not be the good Duterte. He will be the dutirty for us to curse the dirty.

      Claire,

Mar is not weak! He appears weak to a segment of a population especially the Masa, but he is actually the strongest candidate! We have a saying that,

‘Mas matakot ka sa taong walang imik kaysa sa taong maingay at mayabang!’

If I am one of the Presidential Candidates, I will fear Roxas the most. He is the type that does not show his cards and keeps you guessing. But you know that you feel his power by feeling some anxiety that this guy is constricting you.

Binay was the leading candidate before but where is he now? What happened to his JunJun? What happened to his popularity?

Erap is feeling the heat too. Where is Jinggoy? What was the reply when Erap hinted that he is going to run for President if Poe s disqualified? When Poe was disqualified by the COMELEC, what happened to JV? JV was indicted!

Poe was dancing with glee and we could always see her tonsils for she was not able to hide her excitement that she is the most popular among the candidates and thought that Escudero and her powerful allies could protect her from being disqualified through her two issues NBFC and Tend-Year Residency? Look how fast the mood of TEam Poe changed dramatically from jubiliation, confidence, and assuredness to disarray and panic when the verdict of her disqualification was handed by COMELEC!

Duterte was so cocksure of himself! He was drunk by the outpour of support for his authoritarian proposition and selling himself that he is the toughest guy around and never backs down to anybody. After his meltdown and letting the public and his rabi supporters who he really is, a thug a killer, a manyakis, a warlord who only prey on petty criminals and the innocents, a fool who will blame the Pope for the traffic mess he was and as a cocksucker with the attitude of an uneducated drunk whose wealth is a bottomless pit of expletives, what is he now? Santo Rodrigo? He backs down and appears meek! The cocksucker who is so sure of himself backs down and apologizes with insincere apology and can’t help himself to declare that he does not want to be President anyway once he experienced the different hellfire he was in for the Presidential Contest is so different in his authoritarian grip of Davao City. Duterte is a bully and a thugh who could only put fear on the powerless, but in the national arena where the other candidates are more powerful than him he found out that he is not in their league, thus he is already announcing his way out by saying ‘I don’t want the presidency anyway!’. That is sourgraping and a sign of surrender for he felt the first blows and he is not used to be at the receiving end. He is no fool either in judging his enemies like the powerful drug lords and warlords he knew he can’t kill in Davao City so he compromised with them for peaceful existence! Duterte knows that the first salvo was the least painful blow what more in the coming days? Duterte’s balls just shrunk and if one his concubines tries to feel them, good luck if she finds them down there. I have a hint though, try looking inside his throat for his balls are now choking him for his fear of what is coming next for him!

Now you tell me who should I fear if I am one of the presidential candidates?

    Cocktails by BigCock tales!

I made a glass of Martini and I was wondering what kind of Cock would our ‘Presidentiables’ would like to sip?

    Roxas -Sidecar (Fad Jack)

Sidecar – An unlikely cousin to the Margarita, the Sidecar falls into the same Sour family as the tequila classic. In fact, once you know how to make a Margarita by heart, you pretty much know how to make a Sidecar: they’re basically the same drink. One uses tequila and lime, whereas the other calls for cognac and lemon, but the template is spirit, orange liqueur, and citrus.

    Binay – Negroni (Gihapon)

Negroni – I don’t think I understand people who don’t love Negronis. The blend of bitter and sweet, the herbal complexity, the refreshing pleasure—you gotta be nuts not to like this. Like the Martini, the Negroni is a drink that’s open to tinkering. Start with the classic 1:1:1 ratio and go from there. It’s fun. Try blending vermouths, too. Right now, I like a Negroni that’s 2 parts gin, 1 part Campari, and 1/2 part each of Carpano Antica vermouth and Martini & Rossi.

Duterte – Bloody Mary (Joseph and Jesus!)

Bloody Mary – I’m breaking my highball rule here, but that’s okay because I don’t think of the Bloody Mary as a highball. Though nearly every cocktail manual I own lists it as such, I take a different view. A highball just means pouring a shot or so of booze and topping it off with a non-alcoholic mixer, usually from a gun or a bottle. Fine, you can make Bloody Marys that way if you’re lazy and buy a bottled mix. But a good Bloody Mary mix is prepared in-house or at home from high-quality tomato juice and whatever other juices and spices you like. For home drinking, I mix mine à la minute. I juice lemons; I dash in bitters. I go to at least as much work as I do when mixing a cocktail. So screw it, it’s a cocktail, not a highball.

    Santiago -Ramos Gin (Gen.) Fizz

Ramos Gin Fizz – Break out your blender for this one. The Ramos Gin Fizz is a complex drink, of gin (naturally), lemon and lime juices, simple syrup, orange flower water, cream, an egg white, and (optionally) vanilla extract. Traditionally, it has the hell shaken out of it, first without ice, so that the ingredients emulsify, and then with ice, so it gets extremely cold and frothy.

Poe – Last Word with a hint of Daiquiri (Day Kiri)

Last Word – What a story this drink has! If this were a story about a forgotten boxer, rediscovered years later by a fight aficionado, Clint Eastwood would have already directed the film by now. The drink arose in Detroit during Prohibition, but fell into neglect for decades until rediscovered by Murray Stenson in Seattle. The Last Word is a complex, herbaceous drink, and like the French 75, it’s one that I think would make a gin lover out of almost anyone.

Daiquiri – Here, with the daiquiri, you have what I call a perfect litmus-test cocktail. Whenever I get a new rum, I almost always want to try it two different ways—sipped with a little ice, and mixed into a daiquiri. I find that the lime and sugar in a daiquiri complement the rum and highlight its flavors. I learn more about a rum mixed into a daiquiri than I do by just sipping it on its own. The only exception, I find, are rich, funky rums, such as rums agricole. These tend to overpower the other ingredients.

Eureka! This combination is such a great Foundling! To find the mystery of where this bold combination came from, one must nibble a piece of Chiz in every sip.
    **

Mabuhay!, Cheers, Proost, Santé, Salute, Kanpai, Yum Seng!

    and don’t forget the Visayans,

    Chairs!,

@BFD, This development spells a lot of trouble for both Duterte and Poe. If the report is true, Poe now has 5 SC justices that would vote against her in her qualification cases both in SET and Comelec. Most likely, when the case against Duterte reaches the SC, there will be pressure to the 2 SC judges to inhibit. That’s 2 less votes in favor of him. The real battleground would be the SC. PNoy has an ace up his sleeve. He will choose the next SC Justice who will replace Justice Villarama. He must make sure that the next SC Justice he will choose will be against Duterte and Poe, and that he would be qualified to vote on the cases against Poe and Duterte. Fearless conclusions, 1) Poe is a goner 2) Duterte will run out of money in his cussing cookie jar. Puro mura aabutin ng SCsa kanya.

    Stage 1) Warlords: Nebuchadnezar, Ampatuan

    Stage 2) God-Kings: Pharaoh, Duterte

    Stage 3) Prophets: Moses, Dagohoy

    Stage 4) Morals: Bible, Mabini

    Stage 5) Laws: Justinian, Quezon

When the Spanish discovered the Philippines, it was mainly at Stage 1). They imposed Stage 4) via Catholicism, but the roots were not deep. When the Americans took over, they imposed Stage 5) with democracy. The roots were not deep either – in practice it remained at Stage 1) with warlord politicians.

Among some Germans too the roots of Jewish-Christian morals and Roman laws were not deep. Adolf Hitler became a God-King to many when the crisis washed away the thin legal/moral topsoil.

    Hit Jobs!?

What is a hit job? In mob parlance it means you are going to swim with the fishes. In the Philippine setting it is scaled down to economics of hiring a cheaper Riding-in-Tandem to do the job you can’t do personally.

What about hit jobs of political kind?

Oh there are plenty and it is sophisticated and ultra-expensive than the hit jobs fulfilled by the new industry of Riding-in-Tandem.
It is best to show the actual examples:

Hit job on Roxas – It was quite obvious that Roxas will be the anointed of Aquino in 2016 eventhough he was robbed by his Vice Presidency through betrayal by Chiz and Aquino’s Sisters and Clan through the covert Noy-Bi plot. So Binay is wary because it is harder to fool twice somebody like Roxas. Biny is no fool and did not survive this long if he can’t foresee the great possibility of their rematch in 2016. So a hit job on Roxas shall be done. This is sophisticated in the sense that it started the first day Binay sat in his VP office in 2010. Binay funded the smear and the sustained tactics of exploiting every gaffe that Roxas makes and a deliberate reduction of Roxas achievements. Binay also uses his undercover agents and collaborators in LP, through the Samar Faction of Ochoa, Belmonte and Coloma. Then the saying that the Enemy of my friend is my friend rings so true in Philippine politics. Yolanda tragedy struck. The Romualdezes are the true culprit in why there was massive casualties in Bacolod because of their plain stupidity not to evacuate their constituents and even held fort in their beach house which resulted in their near death experience! But having the blood of the Romualdezes and the experience of the Marcoses in the art of denial and blaming others for the tragedy except themselves, the ire was successfully transferred to Roxas and Aquino who were trying their best to do the herculean job to rescue and clean-up the mess worse than the American Katrina! Then when was obvious that Binay is not going to get anointed by Aquino, the demolition on Roxas became more intense, though well veiled from the public. Roxas is harder to pin down on corruption so his opponents exploited his Achilles heel: Korina! The demonization of Korina was intense and the gaffes of Korina during her unpleasant exchange with CNN’s Anderson Cooper just help the hit job did some nasty blows! Then there was, is , and will be manufactured surveys that supports the narrative that Roxas is Kulelat and push down his numbers to unbelievable lows as if Roxas is the most corrupt among the wannabes! The commissioned manufactured political surveys sustained the hit job on Roxas and boy they are effective! Roxas does not help himself either by being compose for visual inactivity is misjudged by the masa of being weak, though those in the know are aware that this tactic is equally effective for Roxas keeps his opponents guessing while Roxas camp is also retaliating with different kind of hit jobs, the lethal kind: the legal kind!

    2. Hit job on Binay – being upfront and not being coy on his intentions to be the next president of our republic, Binay invited challengers, and in the Philippines there are dime in a dozen! Cayetano and Trillanes fired the first salvos and after the falling out between Pimentel and Binay, the attack on Binay was more intense. This is valid hit job and the evidence overwhelming that it is harder to extricate from. Early on I already hinted that Binay will be done for his case is a textbook case of ill-gotten wealth and without any businesses or other source of income he could show to support his accumulated wealth then it is just a matter of time that the skeletons would be dug out! So Binay with his lead in conscripting supports through his Sister City scheme and because of overconfidence and underestimating his opponents, Binay did not see it coming. He peaked too early and the NP, NPC, PDP, and LP formed an alliance to topple the bastard! The Senate investigations zeroing on Binay and with AMLC evidence sealed the fate of Binay and the legal weapon will make sure that he would be disqualified or at the very least could not govern!

    3. Hit job on Poe – It is no doubt that if the elections are held today, Poe will be the runaway winner! Poe was wooed by LP as well as every major political party to join them. In Lp she will have a better chance of winning the VP and hurdle her NBFC and residency issues. But she did not read her bible and the obvious dangling of the forbidden fruit was dangled by the snake Escudero. The temptation was so strong and she was salivating tasting the fruit that promises enormous power which any mortal is powerless to decline! She ate the fruit, but there is a twist, Escudero poisoned it and only Escudero has the antidote for he has his own evil schemes…Naturally, Poe unwittingly entering the snakepit did not anticipate the many fangs waiting to take a bite at her. There is even a python named Mar who does not show any fangs but just waiting to gobble the snakes for his meals! The hit job on Poe is legal. It is sophisticated for it involves a lot of parties including the participation of Escudero in the betrayal. Who do you think is the perfect traitor? If you say Chiz then I will take a phot of you for you have the perfect smile eventhough a front tooth is missing! SET giveth while the COMELEC taketh! SC will legally nailed the coffin of Poe’s ambition!

    4. Hit job on Duterte – this is one of the two easiest hit jobs ever to be executed on a political opponent in the history of Philippine politics. Duterte is literally shooting his own foot with his cocksucker mouth! Doing a hit job on Duterte is ironically sweet for giving somebody his own medicine oops his own poison is a justified killing!

    5. Hit job on Santiago – The easiest so far. Just give her a rope or a knife and she will do the job herself. But in the spirit of Christmas it is best to give her a Nut Cracker as a present and let herself indulge in finding ways to do the Nut Job!

Politics is something that happens everywhere… but I hope some do think of the country ALSO.

Seems the problem of many Filipino groups is “KAMI” thinking. Some in the Liberal Party are about “basta kami manalo”, even if I think the majority is not, most Binay supporters are about “basta kami busog”, many Duterte supporters are about “Basta kami buhay kriminal patay”, the others I don’t really know. But how many are really thinking of “TAYO” meaning the Philippines and all Filipinos? Maybe more than some years ago, but are they going to be enough to make a better country? What do you think?

I would say that LP’s way of doing a hit job elevates our politics a notch higher. Legal hit job is the mark that our politics is trying to mature similar to the First World Nations.

Of course there will be smear similar to Super PAC funded hit jobs, but legal ones are the trademark of the civilized world, and case in point is the Bush vs Gore that US Supreme Court resolved the dispute surrounding the presidential election of 2000.

Legal hit job is not based on emotions and if there is a probable cause then it is just fair and square to resolve the issue and let the electorate be aware of the legal issues confronting the wannabe public servants!

Smear and propaganda is a kind of hit job that is not resolved for the intent is not to resolve any issues but to inject doubt on the minds of electorate. One hit job though that is equally effective over the legal ones but restrain our maturity in dealing with elections and governance is the Hate Job!

Finally, we ain’t nothing but mammals… Neolithic biology with some civilized programming.

So if Mar Roxas goes by the laws, fine… because the hit job Angela Merkel executed on her own President Christian Wulff was legal also… his departure ceremony disturbed by vuvuzelas hehe…

Merkel has eliminated all men who were in her way or were part of the Andes pact allegedly formed to prevent her from coming into power… she rules the country alone, but she does it well mostly. Probably because like you said once patriotism is something very ingrained over here… unlike in the Philippines.

Dachau was originally opened for criminals and misfits in the early 1930s. Most neighbors complained about the stench, and stopped complaining when it was dealt with… For decades women went to Munich to give birth.. for the child not to have Dachau as birthplace.

I live in Munich and made this poem just a short while ago:

Shall I dare to open my mouth,
To speak of cities in the South?
For I have never been to Dachau,
nor have I ever went to Davao

Dachau for me is very near,
yet still it holds for me great fear,
to board the S2 suburban train,
so will it be Davao in the rain?

Shall I go face the DDS

Now that my name is openly known
and I may reap what I have sown?

    MAR AT CROSSROADS

It may be time for Mar to start thinking of a kind of “Exit Strategy” – how to escape the suffocating embrace of his patron PNoy – if he still hopes to have a fighting chance in the 2016 elections.

Putting it another way, Mar may want to break away or at least keep his distance – and finally be his own man, if he could work himself to doing that.

The worst fears of Mar and his handlers seem to have been validated by the latest SWS survey indicating that most Filipinos will not vote for a candidate who is merely riding on the endorsement of PNoy.

Nationwide, the President got a net score of minus-6 percent on the effect of his endorsement. In the NCR, the negative impact of his endorsing Mar was a staggering minus-26 percent. It was minus-10 in the rest of Luzon.

Daang Matuwid – that tired slogan has started to sound hallow to people in search of deliverance from crime, corruption and poverty.

Otherwise, I agree with what the Good Leftist (I mean that legitimately; I admire the guy) is saying, and such conversations are ongoing right now, and will be for the better part of this week. But there is also a reality, there are people in the comment threads who are pushing (Duterte) agenda. It cannot be a pure academic discussion if there are game-players there.

      • Rene-Ipil says

        December 8, 2015 at 9:25 AM

        “If the surveys are manipulative,”

By all means the “manipulative” surveys must be exposed and condemned. That is if you mean a farce or rigged survey. But if the survey is merely suspected as such, its proponents must be questioned by their peers along with the public.

To my understanding, in scientific social and political surveys, the variables are really manipulated to achieve the desired results. Meaning that for presidentiables for example the respondents must be guided to select from a list of probable or actual candidates as a variable. Another variable concerns registered voters only as respondents. Nationwide or regional. Certain economic class or all classes. Etc.

So, you are talking of a farce or rigged survey. And it appears that you have assumed that the subject Duterte survey is “manipulative” or a farce or is rigged. This is before questioning the survey – methodology and reputation of proponents, among other aspects. Meaning that you merely assumed a fact – that the survey is “manipulative” – although the inquiry has not started yet.

Discussion on the issue is the essence of democracy. But We must shoot the message instead of the messenger.

But that is just me — a firm believer in probability and statistical assessment DONE PROPERLY. This is not a defense of SWS and PA. If they Hocus-Pocus, it is not for me to say. And I have no basis for saying that — except that in the last privately commissioned SWS survey, List 1 survey was not allowed to be published by the Davao-businessman who commissioned the survey while the List 2 survey, with Duterte’s name prominently mentioned in the question to the respondents was allowed to be published by SWS.

Privately sponsored research with only partial results released and a clearly biased method of posing the question is manipulative. It is striving to brainwash and trick, not gain knowledge or information. To accept it is negligent. We should shoot the messenger if he is proposing to be our leader.

And 1 says: ‘P$#^%$ ina mo! Umalis ka na! Limang oras na ako dito sa traffic!’

          just kidding. . .

Read William S. Esposo As I Wreck This Chair. He says:

‘Pulse Asia and the SWS provide us a basis for checking if clean elections had been conducted. The Pulse Asia and SWS surveys may not qualify as evidence to prove election cheating but their track record of accuracy gives us a starting point for questioning the results and conducting an investigation.’

Mr. Esposo ‘wrecks’ it like this:

‘If Judea Governor Pontius Pilate had conducted a scientific survey like those done by Pulse Asia (and SWS), then the New Testament might have been written differently. The viva voce type of selection that Pilate conducted, when the crowd was made to choose between Christ and the criminal Barabbas, wasn’t based on a truly representative sample that reflected the cross section of Jerusalem folks. The Pharisees, Christ’s biggest enemies, fielded a “hakot” (planted partisans) crowd that was complemented by the followers of Barabbas.’

He continues to ‘wreck’ it –

‘The Jerusalem mob was like a sample of 80 percent communists and 20 percent pro-democracy Filipinos. Given a choice between communism and democracy, the communists would naturally drown out the pro-democracy folks. However, as we know from experience, we Filipinos aren’t disposed to accepting communism. Our disdain for communism was so intense that Dictator Ferdinand E. Marcos thought he could win in the February 1986 Snap Presidential Election by tagging Cory Aquino a communist. Few ever believed Marcos that Cory was a communist.’

And he wrecks it finally – ‘The crucifixion was an all-Pharisees show.’

“We should shoot the messenger if he is proposing to be our leader.”

I was referring to us – commenters – as messenger and discussant. I think the candidates as messenger are fair game.

I also think that two surveys were conducted by SWS at the same period. That the first survey was not released is the prerogative of the paying sponsor. So the issue must concern whether the second survey was rigged or not.

I believe that all cards were laid on the table as far as the second survey is concerned. The question is not biased as you suggested. The respondents were properly informed that Duterte was merely a substitute candidate. That he is now included in the list as such. Needless to say the said list includes all the candidates from which list the respondents could choose one.

Did the warning or instruction beforehand to the respondent give undue advantage to Duterte? To me it was even disadvantageous to Duterte because it implies that he is not a serious candidate – an “urong-sulong” contender.

Indeed, 62% of the most literate and sophisticated among the respondents – the ABC class – chose Duterte resoundingly. And you imply that the ABC class was hoodwinked by the survey. Not by any stretch of imagination.

          The respondents were asked:

“Ibang listahan naman po ang gamitin natin. Kasama dito si Rodrigo Duterte bilang isang substitute candidate sa Presidente. Sa mga sumusunod na pangalan sa listahang ito, sino po ang malamang ninyong iboboto bilang PRESIDENTE NG PILIPINAS, kung ang eleksyon ay gaganapin ngayon?”

      @Rene Ipil,

I agree with Walden on his observations of Duterte’s popularity is borne out of desperation and mistrust among the failures of our past presidents!

For them, it seems that all avenues had been exhausted and the allure of Digong’s authoritarianism is so irresistable.

Unfortunately most of Duterte’s supporters lack the mental and social temper that are strongly required to reach into the best thought out solution for our sick nation; their emotional temper trumps those two traits.  Duterte’s supporters don’t realized that they are siding against their very interests they wanted to protect and bettered. Unfortunately, their emotions cloud their judgment.

Though it is noble in the part of Bello to convince us that discussion in a respectable manner and argue with them through reason are the best ways to turn them from their unfortunate ignorance by wrongfully entrusting their faith and our fate as a nation, I violently disagree with his prescribed approach!

Majority of Duterte’s supporters don’t understand finesse nor civilized exchange of ideas. They have almost made up their mind and no niceties will ever save them from their false belief with cult like passion, that Duterte is the messiah! I strongly advocate shock therapy, if you want want to get their attention and have an iota of chance that they listen to you and knock them out of their trance and hypnotic state.  More precisely a shock therapy through language they are quite atuned to: Expletives and invectives, insult and outright condemnation,  obluquy and vituperation, and add some flavor to your language by lacing it with an unwanted gift of expectorating personal liquid vile and phlegm!

Given my reputation here in CPM of using language of colour, I hope that you heed my prescription.

Thus when dealing with Duterte’s rabid supporters, I strongly suggest if you want them to understand you,  speak their language! Give them their deserved courtesy by following an old saying, When in Rome, do as the Romans do!

      PS

      @Rene Ipil,

I am unsure if you are one of those Duterte Groupies that are not beyond salvation, that is why I engage you in a language you prefer with  my veiled insult under the shroud of smug politeness…

Asked about his biggest contributors, Marcos declined to reveal them, saying his contributors would not want their identities known.

Asked if his mother was his biggest donor, he replied: “No, she is not,” but acknowledged that she was his biggest fan.

LOL! CPM have better and more reliable sources than the traditional mass media.

OK, here are the biggest monetary contributors to Bongbong Marcos. I’m only showing those who contributed one million pesos, or more:

      Ernest L. Escaler, P20,000,000
      Jose C. Singson, Jr., P20,000,000
      Eduardo L. Alino, P10,000,000
      Susana Fong, P10,000,000
      Ernesto Villacencio, P4,500,000
      Jorge Manuel B. Yulo, P3,000,000
      Jude Cimafranca, P3,000,000
      David Brian Lu, P2,5000,000
      Ericson Sy Uy, P2,500,000
      Alan Noval, P2,000,000
      Eligio T. Sy, P2,000,000
      Joseph C. Tan, P2,000,000
      Manuel M. Lazaro, P2,000,000
      Stanley Sy Chona, P1,500,000
      Edward S. Serapio, P1,000,000
      Mercedes P. Quezon, P1,000,000

Incidentally, a Micheal Escaler is a P10,000,000 contributor to Grace Poe Llamanzares. I’m trying to find out if there is a common thread between the Escalers and Bongbong Marcos & Grace Poe Llamanzares.
