By Raïssa Robles

I urge everyone to drop by the Theater Level in Trinoma Mall (Quezon City) to view nearly 500 incredible photographs snapped by veteran photo journalist Sonny Camarillo.

I guarantee you, you will weep when you see these powerful photographs. Such as the one below taken in Luneta during the funeral of Ninoy –

When Ninoy Aquino’s coffin passed by Luneta. Photo by Sonny Camarillo. All Rights Reserved.

I met Sonny while covering a protest rally after Ninoy Aquino died.. Probably seeing that I was new to covering rallies, he took me by the hand and guided me. He told me where to position myself so that I could anticipate the action. He told me how to sniff out danger.

This year, Sonny has mounted an incredible collection of all the photos he took during the period starting with Ninoy’s wake and funeral to the Edsa People Power in 1986.

The photographs show the flowering of People Power.

After viewing them, you will realize how incredible it was that we did as a nation, kicking out a Dictator long past his shelf life with our bare hands.

People have asked me whether by siding with those who kicked out Marcos I was being biased against the Marcoses.

Let me put it this way. The Marcoses destroyed democracy. The media is a pillar of democracy for its role is to help guarantee the accountability of leaders who hold power. Which is why I was for the restoration of democracy in 1986.

What we have done with that democracy is another story.

If there is one thing you still have to do to mark the 30th anniversary of Edsa People Power, it is to view Sonny’s photographs.

Hurry. They are there for viewing only until 9 PM of Monday evening, February 29.

Now that Poe is allowed to run as president, let the games begin.

All along I believe that Poe is NBFC because her parents are both Filipinos. What I don’t want about her is her continued attempt to lie and deceive us on her filiation. Sabi ni Susan na ang sinungaling ay kapatid ng magnanakaw. So, deception and corruption really run in her blood.

Poe belongs in the same political family of FPJ, Erap, Enrile and Binay. So that her DQ as presidential candidate would only consolidate the supporters of the same political group to go to Binay.

Now. Of course the Binay supporters would go to Binay. FPJ fans would go to Poe. Erap and Enrile supporters would divide themselves between Binay and Poe. And this would strengthen Duterte and Roxas. But more on Duterte who is becoming stronger as the May 9 election approaches as indicated in the social media and the recent poll surveys.

baycas, another use of sildenafil (viagra) o baka side effects po yong pulmonary hypertension?

men over 65 are to use sildenafil (viagra) with caution and preferably an hour before sex. one of sildenafi’s side effects is a very bad headache, similar to the one duterte experienced recently, made him miss attending forum.

sildenafil last only about 4hrs, though side effects last longer, and been known to cause stroke, cerebro vascular accident.

Yes! Let the game begins..for real! The kicker why they allowed Poe to run for President is to divide the vote between the strongest 3 candidates, Mar, Du30 and Poe. It is time for Liberal Party headquarters to open their wallets for campaign strategies and not to rely only on helping hands of voluntary supports. An extra miles of fuel to run the machine for guaranteed victory of RO.RO Tandem! Mar and Leni will win and there will be a smooth government transition. If Poe or DU30 wins there will be a disqualition cases and there will be another opposing people power…Let’s support and vote for the win of ROxas-RObredo for clean and peaceful election to our country. Salamat po.

The danger of direct popular democracy is that an ignorant and misinformed group of people,  which do not even represent the majority, can elect a President and government who are working against the interest of the majority of its people!

For that I concede that you are sorry for my loss and the majority of the Filipino People!

Our only advantage is that we are not duping ourselves of hollow victory, for eventhough you think you won, you don’t even realize that you are fooled.

Roxas and Robredo just happened to be aligned with our cause and as an intrument to further our interest. We are not loyal to them but to our cause for better Philippines. Don’t mistake us with the other dogs of Aquino who will just wag their tails even they are being whipped! Unlike them, we will disown Aquino, Roxas, and anybody who betray the Filipinos. We don’t fight for a personality, we fight for a cause.

At least we have our principles and dignity intact.

I concede though that you did not loss your principles nor dignity. How can you lose those  when you never have them in the first place?

        Touche me not!

        Douche you are!

If Mar Roxas fails to emulate his fellow alumnus Donald J Trump *, he alone may have to cop the slack if he fails to win the Presidency. It’s there within his grasp, his present best remains to be seen.

Should Mar Roxas read and get pointers from the book, Trump: The Art of the Deal?

American Donald J Trump running for US President is doing very well (milestones) to get the Republican Party’s only nomination and sure to win the Office.

With regard to the Supreme Court decision on GPL. It remains to be clarified whether the decision was based on Residency alone, on Citizenship or both together. If Residency alone the one hurdle appears to remain, the complaint against the SET decision.

Now that GP is not disqualified, Roxas must work overtime to have a fighting chance.
It is expected that GP will surge in the survey. But it will level as the campaign nears the home stretch.
What I am afraid of is that Roxas will insist his on campaign style which is proven to be ineffective.
But still RoRO pa rin tayo kahit mas bumigat na ang laban dahil hindi naDQ si Poe.

The SC has decided for a certain candidate to run amidst debates and legal arguments. There were instances that they handed down unpopular decisions, so be it. Only the hearts of the good will triumph in the end.

Anyway, by letting GPL run as decided by the “highest court” doesn’t mean the end of RORO. It may be a setback but definitely not a loss for RORO. There is a reason why it happened that way.

But still, i do believe that after all this confusions and bewilderment, the Philippines will be governed by leaders with integrity & honesty.

        tsk tsk tsk

GPL thanked the SC, for ‘truth, justice’*

I may have to check my vernacular on her choice of words for probity as her form of gratitude poer a faPoerable SC judgement.

When more dummies reign supreme over few intellects, may rightly label the Supreme Court with a just twist.

Very disappointing… Why bother to show concern for Pinas’ next President? If all its SC Justices can’t agree on a literal, text based jus sanguinis?

Makes me wonder if there was a criminal case lodged against GPL, and convicted for her ‘pattern of false statements and misrepresentations’, would the SC still consider her qualified?

A celebration for woman kind. Men should also demand an international men day and next we will have an international people’s day, international grandma day, etc. etc and finally an international earth day. Why don’t we just have an international kindness day, i wonder ????

That was swift, after all the legal experts’ opinion wasted time per upgrightbike, Whew, 9-6 for .. 66..

Happy International day to all women…esp sa mga Pinay at mga nanay.

Now count your blessings for the coming of an American family in the palace, and the PH might become an additional state, I can’t say the number for it seems US estates are shifting. Isn’t this wonderful?
What if, what if there is huge trouble in the horizon, what if 18-26yrs. are called and drafted, what if even the wealthy sons and males were called ?

Just with a nod, the Constitution can be changed, annexed and yes, all could become naturalized Americans, isn’t this fantastic?

But at a price, sulk later or party later?
      Everything has a consequence.

May the PH be more safe and favored.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Socialist Then they came fof the Trade Unionists, and I did not out speak out— Because I was not a Trade Unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me— And there was no one left to speak for me. —Martin Niemöller (1892-1984)
