    Binay is now supporting Roxas

    Politics is the art of the possible, lalo na sa Pilipinas!

      binay may support roxas – but. binay may still have to face the jury and accept what is meted. supporting roxas will not absolve binay’s crime. binay knows this, he is lawyer after all. in the past, binay may have gotten away with dorobos (kawatan in japanese) but under roxas, the law will apply. binay has to stop being dorobo and give back what he has dorobo-ed (stolen). simple and easy to do. binay once said, he is a simple man, his wants are few, once nagbaon ng paksiw at spam that dont cost millions.

      a reformed binay may be too old to start from scratch, but his family and grandchildren can and will have option of starting anew. and they’ll have old binay to thank, for giving them that much needed kickstart. and this time, they’ll start the right way, not the dorobo’s way.

      I’d like to think binay supports roxas because roxas is the better man to lead the country, not because roxas will allow binay to continue on his dorobo ways.

      and that roxas will let in due process, binay will not be ‘cannibalized’ by govt agents who’ll only dorobo what binay has dorobo-ed. binay’s returned stolen billions will be used to help upgrade govt infrastructures like schools, hospitals, roads and bridges, etc. and also used to pay public servants as teachers, nurses and doctor, mga kawani at road workers their pay and salaries.

    HEINOUS/GRISLY CRIME BY LAW-ENFORCERS?

    Remember the recent kidnapping and murder of a woman whose body was found in a plastic drum floating in the Pasig River?

    The good news is the fine sleuthing that led to the early solution of this grisly crime. But it’s still disappointing to learn that three active policemen and a former employee of the Bureau of Corrections are among the suspects.

    Real estate agent Adora Lazatin was found in the drum nearly naked, with her head, hands and feet bound with packing tape and a nylon cord looped around her neck. Why did she face this brutal death? Because her killers wanted to clean out her ATM account.

    They had withdrawn about P200,000 when they were collared by agents of the NBI which deployed about 100 men to stake out dozens of ATMs in four cities for five days after Lazatin’s son sought NBI help. Inspector Eljie Jacobe of the NCR Police Office was still in uniform when he was nabbed at 3:30 a.m. in front of an ATM in Taguig. The other arrested suspects are Police Officers 1 Mark Jay de los Santos and Edmon Gonzales; a civilian named Empire Salas; and Domingo Balanquit of the Bureau of Corrections, although officials said he is no longer with the bureau.

    There is no question that public confidence in law enforcement is eroded when police personnel can commit such an atrocity over P200,000. (Philstar editorial 4/13/16) http://bit.ly/1SeseVI

    Something must be done by the Daang Matuwid administration soonest lest its anointed presidential candidate continues to languish at his usual # 4 survey rating.

      This sort of thing has been a major aspect of the Philippine Justice system for generations. There was significant acceleration after the Philippine Constabulary was devolved into the PNP and the control of the local police was transferred to the PNP/DILG.

      Bantay Salakay is what it is. Bantay Salakay is another form of Wang wang mentality and the “culture of impunity” best exemplified by the Ampatuan-Gloria/Mike clique as well as this example cited by Kalahari. (I have hundreds of personal experiences, minor and major).

      The relevant questions now are:
      1. Since 2010, what concrete progress or improvements have been accomplished by “Daang Matuwid” – DILG?
      2. What clear, specific, and comprehensive commitments, programs, and action plans have been laid out on the table by the presidential candidates?

      Perhaps a separate debate can be held where each and every candidate will be required to make a 15 minute presentation on this issue.

    DUBAI — Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte is ready to be killed if he fails to resolve crime and corruption within the first six months of his term should he become the next president of the Philippines.

    In a philstar.com report, Duterte was quoted as saying that being able to fulfill this promise would serve as his “greatest contribution” to the Philippines.

    “If I succeed perhaps that would be my greatest contribution to the country.

    “But if I fail, kill me,” Duterte said.

        Nope. Probably he will tell people “hindi ko naman sinabi kung kelan yung umpisa ng 3-6 months”.

        Can crime and corruption be eliminated in 3 – 6 months?

        Panfilo Lacson, former PNP Director General: not possible
        Antonio Trillanes, former Navy Officer: not possible
        Ricardo Marquez, current PNP Chief: I doubt it.

        Who says it’s possible?
        1. Duterte – City mayor for 20+ years and presidential candidate
        2. Cayetano – Senator and vice presidential candidate.
        3. Wency Cornejo – ?

        And yet a lot of people believes the promise… Am I missing something here?

          Our laws provide that:

          “A contract will be considered void, for example, when it requires one party to perform an act that is impossible.”

          Everybody knows, including Lacson, Trillanes, Marquez and me, that COMPLETELY eliminating crime and corruption is an impossible act. So that Duterte’s promise to eliminate crime and corruption should not be interpreted within the realm of impossibility. It should be meant within the context of law.

          Meaning that Duterte did not promise to perform an impossible act because that would be void from the beginning. And we ought to know that because ignorance of the law excuses no one. Duterte’s promise could only mean elimination of crime and corruption to a great extent. Maybe we should pin Duterte to his promise and ask him to specify as to what extent. Until we understand the context of his statement, we should reserve our comment.

        • Ong-Lo says

          April 14, 2016 at 10:00 AM

          Eliminating crime and corruption within 3-6 months is not impossible, but can only be achieved through absurd means.

        • Rene-Ipil says

          April 14, 2016 at 11:20 AM

          What means? Absurd or otherwise? A promise of illegal act is also void from the beginning. That’s what the law says.

        • Ong-Lo says

          April 14, 2016 at 12:18 PM

          One is to provoke China or any nuclear power enough to attack us. If the whole Ph becomes unlivable for the next 50 years there will be no crime in Ph. It’s absurd but fulfills the promise.

          Here’s from the news article: Duterte said that to eliminate crime and corruption in his first six months as president would serve as his “greatest contribution” to the country.
          “If I succeed [in resolving crime and corruption] perhaps that would be my greatest contribution to the country, but if I fail, kill me,” Duterte said in a statement issued on Sunday.

          Taking the statement as it is and without making ‘resolve’ synonymous to ‘reduce’, then the promise is void from the beginning. But that is not what a lot of his followers think.

        • Rene-Ipil says

          April 14, 2016 at 12:53 PM

          Provoking any country to attack us is unconstitutional. Yo cannot hold anybody to fulfill a promise to perform an illegal act.

          “SECTION 2. The Philippines renounces war as an instrument of national policy, adopts the generally accepted principles of international law as part of the law of the land and adheres to the policy of peace, equality, justice, freedom, cooperation, and amity with all nations.”

      That’s the main reason why I did not vote Duterte. He promised to wipe out criminality in 3 to 6 months, but the big question is how?

Inihahalintulad ko ang ganitong promises sa isang pyramiding scam “if it is too good to be true, it is a scam”, kakatakot lalo na at may maganda ng nasimulan at unti-unti ng umaangat after 9 years na walang napala ang mga Pilipino. Actually du30 & lee kuan yew are not of the same level..but they both showed STRONG LEADERSHIP.

          DU30 is a lawyer. he knew what he’s doing. i watched one speech of LKY, he said, a strong leader shud have IRON HAND……..

          The general public (classes ABCDE) clamor for RADICAL CHANGE. U can witness people from all walks of life attended the ducay rallies..OMG!!

          Consider Federal system of govt. i think this idea is cool. don’t u think?
          Du30 wants to decentralize our unitary form of govt.

          if i want to chose between berdugo ng davao (as quoted by binay) and berdugo ng pera ng bayan (as quoted by du30), well, surely, i along with the other millions souls, prefer the iron hand with political will.

          Well, for mar, as a pretentious leader (as quoted by du30), he has excess baggages to explain.

          Well…u may refer the reliable social media for further info. unless, otherwise, u and others refused for Radical Change to happen in our beloved country. peace dude.

          Sorry, I think it’s the opposite. Duterte, in my observation, is the pretentious leader. The way he talked and answered legitimate questions is like a bully not a leader. He retorts to bullying to cover his lack of knowledge on a certain topic. Now back to your Lee Kuan Yew – Duterte comparison. Malayo, ni wala sa kalingkingan. Lee Kuan Yew is a complete package, very good leader and statesman with vision.

Please check his response to Grace’s offer as Crime Czar.
          4. Laging bukang bibig ang ‘patayin kita’.

          These qualities really scare me.

          Being a president is like a father. Do you like your father to have these qualities? Sa akin, ayoko. I may be wrong (I really hope that I am WRONG and you are correct in case na si Duterte ang manalo para sa ng Pilipinas), but the way I see it, it could be another ERAP.

          Peace dude. This is only my observation and opinion. Please read the other comments here at Raissa blog and also the links below if you have time. Good day.

      I was shocked when the people started to become unkind to each other because of playing favorites and in defense of their chosen political candidates. In one instant of a moment , the admiration falls off for an inane reason maybe just me or for some, but ALTHOUGH i COME TO CRITICIZE some future leaders, it was to remind them that helping the people is not only given when they are already installed in power or position. I just say again and again I detest fraud in getting to power.
      To whoever is elected, I hope, the vote reflects the heart of the people. I’ve said before no one is carrying anyone to greatest achievement and happiness except our own selves. All the rest are just trappings of the world we live in to give a semblance of a civilized world and society

      I was waiting for a timely moment to c/p an interpretation of a meaningful BEDTIME STORY which we just take time for granted. If truth be told this is the true meaning of the story we tell our very young kids, apos and even our own mix-up befuddled minds. .Hope it is appreciated as much as I appreciate. it.

      Sadly one friend says, the fate of men has already been determined, it is only a matter of time.

      Thank you my friend, Christopher, and this is also for you my friends here.

      Alice In Wonderland

      Wonderland=Earth
      Alice = you
      rabbit = happiness
      door to Wonderland = birth
      dodo = god
      water = sin
      Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum = parents
      Walrus & Carpenter = eastern and western religions
      big Alice in house = female liberation
      flowers = friends
      catepillar = education & science
      cheshire cat = philosophy
      mad tea party = society
      queen = government

      Alice is us. The white rabbit represents happiness, we’re always chasing it like Alice after the rabbit. Upon reaching Wonderland’s door, Alice can’t fit through a tiny hole. This is birth. Almost by magic a baby fits through the birth canal. After birth Alice is waterlogged (water breaks), representing sin. Born in sin. The dodo represents God; because despite belief in god or gods, nobody has seen them. Only the dodo (God) remains dry (free from sin) and tells ppl run around a rock (like Muslims around the Kaaba stone) to stay dry. God expects us to remain free of sin despite this being impossible like the odds of staying dry in the ocean. These ideas are impressed upon us in youth.

      Parents play a great role in beliefs. Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum smacks of parents when we’re young, everything coming out of their mouths is dumb, dumb, dumb. These characters teach Alice about the Walrus and Carpenter, symbolic of Eastern and Western religions (the Carpenter being Jesus). The little, coveted oysters represent potential converts.

      Alice gets closer to the White Rabbit when he mistakes her for his wife. Enter marriage and the notion true happiness rests in this tradition. Alice grows until the house becomes her prison. The family home was a woman’s prison until women’s liberation. Alice is mistaken for a monster, as many believe women’s liberation is a scary thing.

      Next Alice meets friendly flowers who later reject her, mistaking her for a weed based on appearance. In this stage of life we feel rejected or different from those around us.

      Then there’s caterpillar singing vowels as he represents education and science. He questions her, leaving her w/ more questions than answers the White Rabbit’s whereabouts.

      She goes on to meet the Cheshire Cat who represents philosophy, telling her she can find the White Rabbit this way, that way, and every which way. He seems contradictory as hell, like most philosophy.
      Mad Tea Party people. They represents society: mad mad mad. All they do is party and celebrate meaningless things in life.

      Alice meets the Queen who is government, no matter where on Earth you go you’re under some form of government law, and like in the movie ‘all ways are the Queen’s ways.” Her subjects are mindless playing cards doing pointless tasks (painting white roses to be red instead).
      Finally, Alice gives up on Wonderland and tries to go back home to realize she’s been sleeping the whole time. She wakes up (realizes life’s truth) and sees that true happiness comes from the inside of a person, rather than exotic external ideas and institutions.

      When I emphasized my impression on his previous postings on Roxas was not in support of Duterte but he is a turncoat, he was enraged and malign me as if he knew me despite anonymity of most of us. Funny is him claiming that we the readers did not understand his postings on Roxas. That’s another form of attacking detractors telling them ignorance on their understanding of written English.

          TOLEDO CITY, Cebu — Sen. Grace Poe’s husband, Neil Llamanzares, is close to completing the process of renouncing his American citizenship, the lawmaker Wednesday.
          At a press conference here, Poe allayed concerns about her husband’s resolve to give up his US passport and maintained that he is a natural-born Filipino citizen.
          Without going into specifics, the senator said the renunciation of one’s American citizenship involves providing details about his life over the last five years.

          IMHO, if Neil was born in the US, he is natural-born American citizen, like many female chinese tourists are doing – giving birth in the US.

          If Neil’s Filipino parents are naturalized Americans at the time of his birth, he could not claim to be natural-born Filipino for purposes of dual citizen. Instead, he can apply for naturalization due to his Filipino blood.

          THE LIES ABOUT TEODORO MISAEL LLAMANZARES
          by Antonio P. Contreras

          It seems that the lies that Grace Poe tells and that tell her have widened their web and have entrapped her husband, Teodoro Misael Llamanzares (aka Niel).

          For a long time, Grace Poe, in official documents and in public pronouncements, made us believe that her husband Niel is a dual citizen, and even a natural-born one, considering that he was born to Filipino parents in the US before the latter were naturalized.
          But with recent developments, Grace Poe was forced to admit that her husband served with the US Air Force from 1988 – 1992, and in fact is a reserved officer.

          It is a given fact that under Philippine Laws, serving in the US military automatically causes the loss of Filipino citizenship, more so if such was done without the consent of the Philippine Government.

          So when Niel served with the US military, whatever claim he has to dual citizenship by virtue of him being born to Filipino parents in the US was extinguished.

          He is now solely an American citizen, not a dual citizen as Grace Poe has claimed.

          He could also not claim that he became dual again by virtue of RA 9225, when Grace Poe reacquired her citizenship since only their three children were included in her application.

          It also behooves one to ask if Niel acquired the necessary papers that would certify him as a natural born citizen at any time before he became solely an American citizen in 1988. My eldest son was born in Hawaii. Before he can claim his natural born citizenship, we have to obtain a certificate of recognition from the BID. It is now valid to ask if Niel in fact has this certificate issued by BID or by the Philippine authorities in the US.

          Grace Poe said that her husband is willing to renounce his US citizenship if she wins. Let us forget for a moment that this reeks of opportunism, and just focus on the legal implications of this. Niel is solely a US citizen now. He could not even vote for Grace Poe. For him to be employed by Ramon Ang, he has to secure a permanent resident visa. So, what is actually his visa status? And how can he renounce his US citizenship when that would amount to him becoming stateless, for he already lost his Filipino citizenship in 1988 when he joined the US military? He has to first become a Filipino citizen again. And if so, what will apply — is it RA 9225, or the previous law on Filipinos who served the US military which was used in Bengson? Is he even qualified to do this when at the time he joined the US military he was also a US citizen?

          This is the problem when you live a life full of lies and deception.
          Sooner or later they will come back to haunt you.

          What makes this tragic is that the whole Republic, the institution of law, the Constitution itself and its guardian, the Supreme Court, were all trapped in the web of lies that was spun by and for this privileged foundling.

          There is one way out.

          Repudiate this woman on May 9.

          Let her straighten her documents as a private citizen, and spare the country from the burden, the confusion and uncertainty and the lies.

          CA No. 63 provides:

          “Section 1. How citizenship may be lost. – A Filipino citizen may lose his citizenship in any of the following ways and/or events:

          (3) By subscribing to an oath of allegiance to support the constitution or laws of a foreign country upon attaining twenty-one years of age or more: Provided, however, That a Filipino may not divest himself of Philippine citizenship in any manner while the Republic of the Philippines is at war with any country;

          (4) By rendering services to, or accepting commission in, the armed forces of a foreign country: Provided, That the rendering of service to, or the acceptance of such commission in, the armed forces of a foreign country, and the taking of an oath of allegiance incident thereto, with the consent of the Republic of the Philippines, shall not divest a Filipino of his Philippine citizenship . . .”

          Maybe this is the reason why Neil’s loss of Filipino citizenship has been kept secret by Grace.

          So Mike Arroyo is a more ideal First Gentleman?

          Neil is a natural born Filipino, then and now. That he is at the same time a natural born American citizen does not make him a lesser Filipino. That at some point in the past he had joined the US Air Force does not necessarily mean he is no longer a Filipino or that he committed a crime against the Filipino people.

          On the other hand, most Filipinos will agree with the statement that Mike Arroyo is not a man of high integrity.

          So I beg to disagree with with your preference for Mike over Neil.

      Teodoro “Neil” Llamanzares of the Poe-Escudero-Coquango triumvirate is a dual-citizen who is both natural born Filipino and American citizen. He has not renounced his U.S. citizenship so he remains a dual Filipino-American citizen.

      He served in the U.S. military, and before Poe publicly acknowledged his military service just about a week ago, I already posted his U.S. military connection here in Raissa’s blog many months ago, including his address at Fairchild Air Force Base in a WA, U.S. where he and Poe lived for 5 years. Their youngest child was born at the military base.

      When the press inquired last week, or so, about the specifics of Neil’s military service, Poe responded by asking why this is an issue since Ramos and Abaya received military training in the U.S. Poe apparently does not recognize the big difference between Ramos and Abaya receiving U.S. military training as opposed to Neil’s serving in the U.S. military.

      Poe does not seem to recognize the big conflict of national interest when the President as Commander-in-Chief of the Philippine Armed Forces has a spouse who is a former U.S. military personnel. This is one other compelling reason why Poe should not be elected President of the Philippines.

      ” The Case of Lt. Comdr. Edward C. Lin”

      Commander Lin moved to the United States at age 14 and the Navy has praised. Him as an immigrant success story. He attended Officer Candidate School and The United States War College and served asa flight officer at the Pentagon and the Special Projects Patrol Squadron 2 in Hawaii.

      He is now in detention at the Navy Consolidated Brig in Chesapeake, Va., awaiting a decision on wether he will face a full-court martial, a US official said.”

    Manila (CNN Philippines Life) — Long before the vice presidential candidates took the stage, the beginnings of the debate already started elsewhere. In front of UST, a group of martial law victims rallied against Sen. Bongbong Marcos. Megaphones in hand, they preached of the crimes of Ferdinand Marcos and pleaded for passersby not to vote for his son. Marcos supporters, twice in number, would not be drowned out, though. For every chant of “Never again!”, they answered back with “Bongbong!”

    Elsewhere along España were many more supporters, clad in red, white, and yellow, and out in force. They lined the sidewalks, unable to get inside the university, but waiting nevertheless to cheer on their bets. Police estimate about 500 people were there.

        Leni will win. I heard her campaign speech during the RORO sortie in our place, how she struggled from the death of Jesse, to being a solo parent to her daughters, to her getting into politics. She connects herself well to the crowd with her experiences as a community development worker and lawyer especially “ang nasa laylayan ng lipunan” and not a few were teary-eyed.

    breaking news…breaking news…breaking news
    nababalita na magbabakout na daw si senador sonny trillantes sa kanyang kandidatura dahil hindi naman daw siya mananalo. nag usap daw sila ni dating dilg sec mar roxas na kung ihihirang daw siya bilang defence secretary pag nanalo si mar, ibibigay niya ang kanyang suporta sa roro. sinabi ni g trillanes na mas makakatulong siya sa bansa ng malaki kung siya ay ihirang na maging defense secretary. mapapamoderno ng husto ang afp at mapapabago niya ang takbo ng isip ng militar sa tulong ng kanyang mga magdalong kaibigan na kanilang ipinaglalaban noong siya ay aktibo pa sa pagkasundalo. bilang isang dating navy sisikapin daw niyang mapabuti at madagdagan ang mga hukbong sasakyang pangdagat ng bansa para magpatrolya sa ating karagatan… news…sad news…sad news…bago po magkamayan sina mar at sonny para magkaroon ng gentlemen’s agreement sa kanilang usapan, nagising po ako at di natapos ang breaking news sa aking panaginip…well this was only in my dream and i wish i got to the finished outcome of the dream.

    well my dream is to see the continuation of the Tuwid Na Daan with roro at the helm. i feel Roxas and Robredo with their faults and imperfections are the best people to lead this country at this point of the country’s existence and it is not bad if trillanes can join in their crusade, since trillanes has proved to be a crusader againts kuraptors, kurakots and kotongeros (the makabagong KKK).

    cpmers…any ideas who could be cabinet members of the RORO team…for me definitely no abaya and alcala. si pnoy pwepwede maging kabinet sec din and definitely trillanes can be the team leader of the defence department. perhaps this would boost the good image and likability as well as better chances of Mar Roxas for President.
    another thing, mr roxas should name his railroad king whose only job is to see to it that the north rail and the south rail projects are started within the first 5 months and also to oversee the smooth operations of the lrt’s and the mrt’s.

    any suggestion for the ncr traffic king…ibalik ang bayani at ang pink line but less u turns for more left turns (with more dedicated hardworking traffic enforces at every left turns not kotongeros)…sige po mangarap pa po tayo…sana sina RORO na ang mahalal. tara na RORO na tayo.

    SA IKAKABUTI NG BANSA RORO TAMO AT TUWID NA DAAN PA MORE.

        Pledges are one thing but money up front is another story.
        Is it not the case that anonymous donations are not allowed under the COMELEC rules?
        For sure we need to know where his funding is coming from in order that we can understand who will be pulling the strings when/if he becomes President.
        By accepting anonymous donations it could be that he is saying to us all, “Don’t do as I do. Do as I say”?

Recently, he resigned as CEO of Clark Development Corporation to help Duterte in his campaign. But who is Arthur Tugade? He was a guest of Mareng Winnie in “Bawal ang Pasaway.”

        Tugade seems to be one of a kind and on the public face of it appears worthy of respect. In addition to being a friend of Duterte he is probably enamored by the style of Duterte which is very similar to his.
        However, I would very much like for Tugade to publicly support Duterte and at the same time state that he has no problems with the past modus operandi of Digong.
        He of course must be up front with his financial contributions which should be made public for the removal of any doubt about is moral principles.

      A very close friend of mine told me that few months ago they met RSA in a face-to-face meeting supporting Digong and laying out initial plans on how to best help the campaign. There were very few handpicked people there. Now few days ago, I was surprised to see RSA & Danding being questioned by the Duterte Camp about the influence of these two big businessmen to Grace Poe in case she becomes president. Namamangka kaya sa dalawang ilog? But of course RSA is a businessman just protecting his interests.

      I happened to see some people who are very sincere in helping Duterte’s campaign including my friend and another big name in Palawan who I thought at first will support Mar. He was using his own pick-up truck to distribute tarps before going to a derby. Sabungero kasi.

      It’s a sight to see the conviction and excitement of people who campaign for the candidate they believe will best serve our country.
