Fact checking Leni Robredo’s reported P700,000 bed

A recent report claims that vice-presidential candidate Leni Robredo was said to have bought a P700,000 bed from a shop in Shangri-la Mall. A Frank Judson Safari Bed Frame from the London Bed Company.

And so I asked Robredo to comment on the matter.

She replied:

“Haha. Posted it nga on my facebook wall. I said kahit P70,000, di ako bibili. Anyone is invited to our condo here in QC and our house in Naga to check.”

    it’s saddening. dati ang sarap magbasa dito sa blog ni ma’am raissa kasi para sa aming mga ordinaryong mamamayan ay may mapulot kaming insight o dagdag sa aming kaalaman lalo na sa current issues ma politika man o hindi. it seems there’s a change of wind direction from those names or handles. para bang lumalabas na bumaba ang quality… parang nasa tindahan na tayo dito.

    The first order of the day is to totally stop name calling of any CPMer or any person subject of comment.

    Let us just discuss issues. Insulting or denigrating somebody rebounds to the author and exposes his true character. As far as I am concerned I don’t retort to any insult because I have redflagged these people. What I don’t know won’t hurt me.

    ibat-ibang personalidad, paniniwala, paninindigan, pananaw sa mga importante at hinde masyadong importanting bagay sa buhay at sa bansa. that only means to say that people here are unique and ugly and beautiful.

    CPM people are dynamic, egocentric, callous, etc….

    pero sana naman mayroong ibang blog site na doon magpalitan nga suntok sina parekoy, johnny lin at iba pa.

    nakaka-distract ang mga comments ninyo dito…ang habahaba, mag-aaway lang pala kayo!….nakakahiya sa mga bata…..

  10. Why are people angry, sick, sad and depressed?

    There are so many issues that each one care about. It is about being tired of seeing poverty , criminals, corruption , killing , immorality, robbery, and just tired of working after a long day and have the most unpleasant experiences on the road, riding the longest journey going home, keeping the budget and many more human troubles.

    Sometimes people with means eat the wrong food that we are not aware that some are toxic to the body and the poor are definitely struggling where to get their food. Nevertheless, this is life and the one reason why we are fighting for is to have the best “savior” for the country. It is not wrong to hope for that almost perfect leader and I wish these leaders also have an awakening that this life is just temporary and we are just like pilgrims passing through, going to our true divine homes if we just walk on a positive path, not saintly but just a little element of being human. We should ” travel light” or we can be overcome by our burdens.

    It is being felt everywhere, that it seems all the negativity envelops the world. Desires, wants, competitions and we just feel frustrated with life.

    We can change our moods cheap. Walk briskly, visit bodies of water, waterfalls, forest. It is also an exercise and affects blood-flow, no stasis but active yin and yang with plenty of sunlight with care.

    Here are some more I found and they are very simple.

    MEDITATE on your own way.

    DISCONNECT. TV, Facebook, too much chat rooms, too much talk, radio, etc.,,, once in a while

    GRATEFUL, AWARE, ALIVE for my life today, right now.

    LOVE JUST BEING, exude love where you go.

    RELEASE. Let go of the negative, people, situations, mindset. TRY to patch things if in conflict, Smile with your neighbors, people around you.

    REMIND yourself money is not the end all of earth life, keep on living and loving your beloved family and you will be fine. Peace.

          He admitted in previous blog he posted addressed to me: You are only jealous of MyMILF. He did not Understand the repercussion of what he wrote. His propensity to sexual connotations indicated in his sentence that he disrespected his own mother , maybe in law too.

          @Parekoy does not have moral authority to preach Abuse against Women because he is a practitioner. Listening to him bash Duterte is counterproductive. He should refrain from attacking Duterte on the rape issue because he lacks moral authority.

        • As I said he is in the bottom of the pit among us to preach morality on Duterte about abuse of women and sexual perversion because he is absolutely guilty on the subject. I only presented proof based on his voluntary postings which he denied profusely for couple of days now yet when confronted with evidence he pretended not to know.

          if we condemn Duterte on rape comment we should also condemn @parekoy on his abuse of Kris Aquino and his disrespectful description of his mom. That would make us a better group morally because we dont condone shenanigans In our midst to malign others. P

          Even before @parekoy participated in this forum, you and I would consider ourselves pioneers of CPM.

          I have given noticed many times to argue our opinions but don’t shoot the messenger. If I was attacked first I would respond in a similar way, but I don’t initiate the attack.

          @parekoy had an attitude to attack the messenger who did not agree to his opinion. He despised to be contradicted. It all started when I contradicted his theory of comparing Mamasapano with 911. He attacked me personally because he could not convince me.

          Same thing when I came back to this blog, he attacked me again after I told him that he had to make explanation to a simple English interpretation of the Student book edition of Raissa. Check his postings in that blog. He was trying to ride on the fame of Raissa and wrote and begged that we at CPM should work as a team including supporting RORO. Why should each one of us be restricted on our views ? Not only that he also claimed this blog is Exclusive for RORO supporters. These are all in prints written by him, not made up by me.

          A witness in court is always told by the counsel that when testifying answer only what’s asked. Don’t digress and add unnecessary info. @ Parekoy, being a braggadocio posted his and wife sexual fantasies, sexual innuendos including bashing Kris Aquino about her many lovers and STD disease without provocation or relation to topic in discussion. He was trying to be funny like Duterte at the expense of women like Kris and his use of MILF which he mistakenly placed the word “My” before MILF. I only prescribed to him his own medicine which he himself concocted. He is haunted by his own past. For him to be sanctimonious on the crusade on Abuse against women he does not possess the moral ascendancy. I believe Duterte is more saintly on this subject than him because he spoke his piece on topic in public forum while Parekoy made fun of women unnecessarily from out of the blue in Raissa blog.

          his kind should not be to condoned because tolerance triggers abusive behavior. Reread all his post, when someone including you and Joeam would disagree with him, his tendency was to lodge personal sarcastic attacks directly. Reread how he maligned Joeam as a foreigner. I only responded to him everytime I returned the favor but it did not lessen the truth that what I said he posted about his sexual narration and abuse of Kris Aquino was his own without provocation.

          I believe he is a sexual pervert based on his unnecessary posting and truthfully he is abusive to women because Kris Aquino sexual past and disease are off topic including on subjects about Pres Aquino. They are irrelevant to the subjects on discussion.

          @Parekoy should learn proper decorum and respect of women before preaching his morality.

        • JL, is he really bashing Duterte on the rape issue? I haven’t read anything like that. Is he also bashing me? I haven’t read anything like that. Please confirm. Many times, I scanned his handle but am not aware of what he is talking about. Did I miss something? Do you think I should allot my time reading his comments. I lost much valuable time before.

          I pray that this comment won’t launch a ballistic missile toward my position.

        • I often agree with your opinion, Sir Ancient Mariner…but on this issue of bashing JoeAm, Kris and sexual jokes here at CPM, I agree with Johnny Lin. This is from someone who gets labeled manang, etc. when I try to protest his sometimes lurid sexual jokes in CPM……I noticed and objected when he posted a very graphic one re Poe’s sexual habits before she married Neil. I may not like Poe as President but to refer to her sexual organ explicitly, in reference to the actual sexual act? that’s too much…for me it does not belong to a discussion here at CPM.

          But I agree on his more serious political views

    Then kung papatulan si Jerry Yap, eh pwede rin nating sabihin AC/DC Kulomnista sya. Pero halata kasi yan. Pag gustong birahin yan eh ang mga Galamay ni Bongbong at Chiz ang mag-iimbestiga kasi sila ang benefiiciaries pag na demolish si Leni.

    Still, good news yan kay Leni kasi pinapansin na sya at talagang gustong ibagsak kasi sumisikat na at nenenerbyos na si Bongbong at Chiz, lalo na ngayon na mas lalong sumisikat si Leni after ng Duterte “I like to rape Jacqueline Hamill first” scandal.
