Despite the mysterious fire that gutted the rooms of social science professors at the University of the Philippines, a historic conference entitled Never Again, Never Forget: Martial Law, the Academe, and the Public will go on starting tomorrow at the fourth floor of Palma Hall (the old Arts and Sciences building).
The conference is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. But slots are limited for the snacks and lunch, so try to sign up at once. In any case, those who are too late can still attend the conference where noted professors on the subject will discuss various aspects of Martial Law.
Those interested have to sign up online because the phones are not working due to the fire. Go to – https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1L0iWlJ6ZXaQxhq9qpPxsFi4klZphtx69V3_CQKeZ9yA/viewform?c=0&w=1
I accepted an invitation to be a “Discussant” in the final portion of the conference on the topic: Moving Forward: What Lies Ahead. Being a non-academic, I am very honored to have been invited.
The Student Edition of my book, Marcos Martial Law: Never Again, will be available outside the Conference Venue at the Introductory Price of P300. It is the same in size and layout as the Collector’s Edition (at P2,500 each), except that everything is in black and white but it is printed on book paper.

Unravelling Davao Mayor Rodrigo ‘Digong’ Duterte’s 17 bank account transactions (i.e. depositors), that we’ll know, gauge how corrupt he can be as President of the whole nation.
‘Aside from bank accounts and transactions involving up to P2.4 billion, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte allegedly has 41 properties in his name across the country.’
Isn’t it time for BIR Kim Henares to look into these. May the ‘Al Capone’ approach come in handy, once again.

And only 3 properties listed on his SALN.
Come on Ombudsman. Go for him.

duterte is so like binay, and pretended to be poor. binay used poor card as trump card, but with his mansions, and haciendas, piggeries and businesses, the people called him off. fake poor siya, may maraming dummies.
then, duterte did the same and cried poor, too poor to fund his presidential campaign. and cayetano got sucked. this poor duterte is fast turning out to be richer than binay! so much money in the bank, so many properties! dorobo king, magnanakaw king of hidden wealth, of hidden properties. baka, tip of the iceberg lang itong mga nakikita natin.
moonie says
it’s no wonder digong takes to taking viagra, he, he, he. gotta much his vast wealth and holdings, gotta be big.

full speech of Duterte sa MBC
kayo na lang ho maghimay.
He wants 2 divisions and an additional 3,000 policemen to fight crime.
dodoblehin ang mga swuldo ng mga kapulisan para maiwasan kotong.
sure sya na 3,000. Ilan kaya ang meyembro ng npa sa davao now? Gagawin nyang legit na sila, you think..
gist: tales, expletives p…i, demands, threath, more demands, more threats. Kaya siguro nawala na ang Q &A kasi useless lang, walang plataporma.
moonie says
I am supposing all will be contractual workers, here today, gone tomorrow. there are plenty contractual workers in davao, thanks to meyor duterte.
had to make them contractual, dahil, once in a while, npa o kaya, abu sayyaf sila at need to go kidnapping and ransoming foreigners at businesspeople, then they go hidiing in the kabundukan. any money they make is deposited in one of duterte’s numerous bank accounts. dahil safe at hindi basta-basta nabubusisi.
on leaner days when they cannot kidnap or extort, they’ll be contractual workers yet again, undocumented lang.
moonie says
meyor is protecting identities of undocumented contractual workers, wala yatang biometrics and cannot vote? but sure can influence the surveys, rigged surveys, gotta make dorobo king number one.
Mel says
They must be digong’s ghosts. Angels of death roaming at Davao nights hunting for like-minded crims. On election day, put on their cape as flying voters to see to it the precincts are still DU30’s kingdom.
baycas says
@Mel,
Isn’t it the latest PA survey commissioned by ABS-CBN showed a slight dip in DU30’s percentage?
To have it your way, please pray hard that it will go down further now until May 9, 2016.
Oops, sorry, do you believe in scientific surveys?
Mel says
For which Class? Or Classes?
Is there respondent database credible?
If yes, what are their table relationships in sequel language?
Any ‘programmer’ can pivot a table result to suit a vested business requirement or request.
Maybe Ireneo can provide inputs, he says he is a Solutions Architect. Same ‘expertise’ as Neil, who?
aberato says
why are contributors/CPMers here still paranoid of duterte’s lead in surveys?
is it because it is commissioned by ABS-CBN and we are expecting a favorable result for Mar? discouraging…right?
What about results of Leni? sure we are happy…
don’t worry……rest your worry on the strength of intelligent, decent, and ethical voters. RC majority, INC, El Shaddai, BCBP, CFC, etc. they will not disappoint RORO!!!
