Dear Armed Forces, you just honored a “soldier” who used his guerrilla name to hide loot in Swiss banks

Exclusive by Raïssa Robles

The Armed Forces of the Philippines and its Commander-in-Chief Rodrigo Duterte have just honored the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos with a hero’s burial.

The Marcoses probably think that by burying what’s left of the dictator’s cadaver in the Heroes’ Cemetery (Libingan ng mga Bayani), they can alter reality and manufacture a hero.

UPDATE: I wish to inform everyone that Facebook has barred me from posting any link to this website or any other site from my Facebook community page – https://www.facebook.com/raissawriter/.

By the way, my Facebook Community page is “verified” by Facebook.

But you can all share the link.

What the Marcoses forget is that there is a long, long trail of verifiable documents showing otherwise.

My book Marcos Martial Law: Never Again, uncovers part of this trail. But 268 pages is not enough to show everything.

And so, I promise the Filipino people that I will share what else I found.

For starters, I have verified – using documents that came from Ferdinand Marcos himself – that Marcos used his guerrilla code name during World War II in order to open secret Swiss bank accounts in the late 1960s.

Let me narrate how I stumbled on this truth. Not the Marcos truth. But the real, verifiable truth.

In 1986, after the Marcoses fled, I decided to leave Business Day because I wanted to cover the Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG). My colleague, Mon Isberto, was covering it for Business Day and since he was a more senior reporter, there was no chance in hell I would get the beat.

And so I went to the Manila Chronicle to cover that beat. I wanted that beat because earlier I had seen for myself how the Marcoses lived in Malacañang. I was able to get inside Malacañang the very next day that they fled.

I was very curious to know all about the efforts of the new government of Corazon Aquino to recover all their loot.

The first pieces of evidence of the Marcoses’ Swiss loot came from Malacañang Palace itself. The Marcoses had simply forgotten – in their panic to flee – several boxes of documents which were turned over to the newly-created Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG).

Among the papers Ferdinand Marcos happened to leave were the ones below, opening a secret account in Credit Suisse (the Swiss Credit Bank). Please note that I have placed my blog watermark in order to indicate that these documents came from me and I can vouch for their authenticity since I gathered them myself as a reporter:

credite-suisse-ferdie_bank_doc_01

Below is portion of another document:

credit_suisse_marcos-aka-wiliiam-saunders-signatures

The Philippine government verified the genuineness of these documents:

  • When Marcos was in Hawaii and he demanded them back;
  • When the Philippine government submitted the papers to the Swiss Federal Court, and after many many years Credit Suisse reluctantly told the Court they were authentic;
  • These documents formed part of the evidence that made the Swiss Federal Court conclude that the money hidden in Swiss accounts by the Marcoses were “of criminal origin“.

You can read for yourself the press release on the matter issued by the Swiss Federal Department of Justice and Police by clicking here

And in case you are interested, I personally asked Senator Bongbong Marcos about those secret Swiss bank accounts during a 2011 press forum of the Foreign Correspondents Association of the Philippines.
You can read his replies in my story ( I took his photo myself) –

Senator Bongbong Marcos confirmed he had a direct hand in trying to withdraw US$213M from a Swiss bank in 1986 >

Senator Bongbong Marcos confirmed he had a direct hand in trying to withdraw US$213M from a Swiss bank in 1986

Senator Bongbong has never denied what I had written. Deadma lang (he just ignored them).

When I first wrote about Marcos’ Swiss bank accounts I did not know why he had chosen the alias “William Saunders”.

It was only a year ago when I stumbled on an online post by Charlie Avila, saying that William Saunders was the name Marcos had used as an intelligence officer during World War II. Beyond that, I could not verify what Charlie Avila had written.

This summer when I was doing research for my book, I finally stumbled on the evidence to verify what Charlie Avila had written.

And the EVIDENCE CAME FROM MARCOS HIMSELF! marcos-of-the-philippines-thumb-by-spence

On page 289 of his authorized official biography by Hartzell Spence, is the phrase in the first full paragraph saying –

“Marcos, then operating under the nom de guerre Major Saunders, happened to enter the headquarters and, with apologies, released the victims.”

marcos-of-the-philippines-major-saunders_0001

The Marcos children, Bongbong and Imee, have always feigned ignorance about those secret Swiss bank accounts opened by their parents.

In the next post, I will show that they have not been honest with the Filipino people over the Swiss accounts – which the Swiss Federal Court has long ruled – were “of criminal origin”.

Today, the Armed Forces of the Philippines under its Commander-in-Chief, President Rodrigo Duterte, has chosen to honor a thief.

What message does that send to Filipinos?

To the new commenter who uses the handle “Padme” or “Yvonne” –

    Welcome.

But pls decided on just one handle. It confuses others if you change handles.

also, the handle “Yvonne” has already been long in use by someone else, so choose another handle or stick with “Padme”.

Don’t forget the following names of the 9 Supreme Court justices who betrayed the Filipinos by allowing the burial of dictator Marcos to the Libingan ng mga Bayani. Here they are:
    – Deosdado M. Peralta
    – Presbitero J. Velasco, Jr.
    – Teresita J. Leonardo-De Castro
    – Arturo D. Brion
    – Lucas P. Bersamin
    – Mariano C. del Castillo
    – Jose P. Perez
    – Jose C. Mendoza
    – Estela M. Perlas-Bernabe.
Be vigilant against these justices. They don’t deserve our trust.

They betrayed the Afilipinos when MARCOS family secretly buried him.

An eye for an eye to traitors and their families.

      Teach the justices a lesson.
One salvage member is enough hard lesson for them to spend lots of money to protect themselves

Pass to all martial law victims

maybe, fabian ver called american embassy for assistance and bingo! the kanos were there and ferret the marcoses.

Post their addresses here and phone numbers like what the lawmakers did to De Lima.
They allowed it , it means it can be done to post as well their where they live.
So they would lose one or two days of sleep thinking all night what if someone tries to put me in the LNMB.
      Walang iwanan, hah, companero, companera.

Yes, they can still sleep peacefully at night because they have no conscience to bother them and they feel they are somewhat insulated from consequences.

But we must show them how wrong they are.

@netty and Van Gems, Parekoy have some ideas and maybe others might want to support them.

My suggestions as well and appeal to those who are capable of actualizing these ideas:
      1. make a tape recording of people screaming in pain and agony and play it out loud for the 9 justices to hear wherever they may be

      2. paint the environment red (red paint, red candle wax where the 9 justices may be present so they will be reminded of the brutality of a dictatorship which they just condoned

      3. soil the areas where they are with stinking water to remind them of the stench of blood (plenty of supply from the meat section of markets)

      4. invite neighbors and friends to join rallies or make protest materials

alam ko rin yan, the arroyo 8 plus one, voted for makoy to be in taguig. ang ama ni arroyo ay nasa taguig din yata, if so, one big happy thieving family sila. I bet, the dead diosdado and makoy are comparing notes who got the most loot, whether it’s diosdado’s daughter gloria and her husband, or makoy and imelda.

and last I heard 70 buses from ilocus lumosub sa taguig, full of makoy hakot supporters, can you imagine the traffic they caused lalo nang christmas is round the corner? the cayetanos of taguig must be super thrilled to have that much visitors from ilocandia. susma, if the passengers all use the toilets . . . baradoooo!

it’s called jaundice, and imee should know sa sakit na paninilaw (jaundice) dahil sakit yan ni makoy! he had liver and kidney problems at hindi lang balat kundi ang puti ng kanyang mata ay nandidilaw din yata. kabisado ni imee ang paninilaw, her father lived with it, her mother nandiri upon looking at her father dahil naninilaw kasi. ang atay ni makoy was leaking bile into his blood stream, as well, ang kidney niya may reflux, makoy would have been yellow sort of pallid and on regular dialysis.

it’s a mystery to me despite the billions they have stashed in switzerland, imelda did not arkila (charter) an airplane complete with medical staff, and took makoy to the best hospitals in switzerland, germany at france and have him treated there, staying at health spa and resorts in between treatments. these countries are forefront sa medical technologies and makoy would have been given at least another 20 or so more years to live.

as well, being already in hawaii, imelda could have taken makoy to new york and have him treated there, arkila a whole private hospital ward for his exclusive use, but did not. imelda waited to come back to pinas where she and makoy can be power couple again, waited in vain hanggang binawian tuloy ng buhay si makoy, and must have been so yellow by then.

imee knew all aboout being yellow as in yellow peril dahil may dugong intsik yan. yellow race ang angkan.

I am not privy to his med condition. However, rumors had it that he was afflicted with LUPUS which is more of an autoimmune disease affecting vital internal organs, and that he had a complete unit of hospital like set up in Malacanang at that time with dialysis unit attended to by professional drs and nurses round the clock,, and that he was very sick when some people killed Pnoys father.

I don’t know if this is a myth or a fact , or even written in Raissa’s book. I haven’t received mine nor read it yet. I am curious and excited to get hold of this book.

The ‘right’ or the ‘duty’ of the body of people being sovereign in a state. An admitted complex idea. Where it begins and where it ends nobody can guess.

But definitely when it happens, somethings are ruined or somethings are broken.

When it happens, both happiness and sadness are mixed altogether for the people.

Looking at the ‘coffin’ a narrow and short coffin,

I’m sure, 100%, that not even a hair or toe-nail

          of FM is inside it.

Why would the Marcos heirs do that? Answer is

at the LNMB Cemetery, his real remains will not

remain safely admitting that many dislike FM also.

What is inside then of the coffin buried at LNMB Cemetery?

Probably an old copy of one of his book or law books. . .

Iginuhit Ng Tadhana could be one.

His real biological remains is in the mausoleum in Ilocos Norte in safety for personal reason.

But why the SC and Pres. Duterte would allow the burial at the LNMB Cemetery on that false
idea that the real remains will be buried there? It was never asked nor given in answer.

To project the idea that FM as President is buried there at LNMB Cemetery for political reason.

Exhumation of what contents in that coffin at the LNMB should just make us
anticipate the Marcoses’ laughters, at their best on everyone. Everyone!

          @aberato

Join the grand rally on November 25. Hope more people will join and will continue to do so. Kasi kung hindi tuloy-tuloy wala ring mangyayari. Kasi my thinking is that the group of Duterte, Marcos and Arroyo will say eh wala lang yang rally na yan, saglit lang yan. People should teach them lessons, kasi lagi sila patago kumilos.

and when tour of duty is over, most in the afp receive hefty pensions and a place in libingan too.

Yesterday, November 18, 2016 – a date which will continue to live in infamy – the Filipino people was suddenly and deliberately deceived and continue to be deceived since 1972, by the dictator Marcos, and by his heirs, by sneaking to burying and did bury his corpse at the Libingan Ng Mga Bayani (LNMB) at Fort Bonifacio, Province of Rizal, Philippines.

The Filipino people is and was at peace with their country – the Philippines, since 1972, and at the solicitation of Ferdinand E. Marcos in 1965, was looking toward and forward to the maintenance of peace in the country. Indeed, in the early night of the declaration of Martial Law on that infamous day, the said President Marcos commenced and did become a dictator, a history in infamy that will not be forgotten.

Yesterday the heirs of the deceased dictator launched a burial of his corpse at the LNMB Cemetery.

Yesterday a newly bought Bell Helicopter brought the corpse for such burial.

Yesterday the LNMB was ordered closed to the public and Media.

Yesterday the Military in full regalia and with all honors together with the heirs, kins and friends marched the corpse of the dictator to the burial ground.

Yesterday the burial was done in haste. It was a sneaky burial to hide always the shame accompanying it and all the occasions for it.

Yesterday, the Marcos heirs blatantly with contempt violated the ‘Standing Order’ of the Supreme Court’s – TRO to halt the burial until the case before It is finally terminated.

Yester – 8th November 2016, a decision was rendered but its finality is yet to come. The burial of the corpse of the dictator was carried through yesterday.

Yesterday, there was no need for another Order to halt the said burial because there is still that TRO alive and not yet buried.

Yesterday the people experienced a sneaky burial in contempt of the rule of law. The facts of yesterday and henceforth speak for themselves.

Yesterday and ever since, the Filipino people have already long ago formed their opinions and understand well the evils of Martial Law.

It will always be embedded in their hearts and minds to all freedom-loving Filipinos that this very bad nightmare since September 1972 up to November 2016, and henceforth, will be in their thoughts, hearts and minds.

As this Blog site is, remember to re-tell and hand it down all the evils of Martial Law – to all your love ones and your children for generations to come.

    Keep the flame burning.

    Seagrave wrote:

“In March 1968, Imelda and Ferdinand opened their first separate numbered accounts at Credit Suisse in Zurich, providing the bank managers with their real names and the aliases William Saunders and Jane Ryan. In all, documents reveal that they eventually opened more than a half dozen secret accounts in Switzerland alone, mostly in Credit Suisse and the Swiss Bank Corporation, and deposited in them over the years more than $1.5 billion, some think as much as $5 billion. In addition to using aliases, the Marcoses gave their Swiss bankers an elaborate code to authenticate all messages they sent from Manila, a code that varied according to the month of the year. Ferdinand’s magic “7” appeared repeatedly in his account numbers.”

‘And me I was just being legalistic about it.’ – Pres. Duterte as quoted.

Lesson 57: Why Jesus Hates Legalism (Luke 11:37-54)

. . . There is probably no sin more tolerated or more widespread in the Christian world than legalism.

. . . Legalists are thought to be a bit overzealous or “uptight.”

. . . The Lord Jesus had more conflicts with the legalists of His day than any other group.

. . . It wasn’t the adulterers, the robbers and that sort, who put Jesus on the cross. It was the legalists.

. . . Later on, the Apostle Paul had the same experience, as the legalists dogged his steps.

. . . He [ Christ] deliberately did things to provoke the legalists:

. . . 1.) He could have healed people on any other day of the week, but He often did it on the Sabbath.

. . . 2.) He could have been more discreet in violating the Pharisees’ rules, but He did it openly. When a Pharisee invited Jesus to dinner, He could have gone along with their elaborate hand-washing custom, but He deliberately ignored it.

. . . 3.) When they questioned Him about it, He could have been more polite, but He blasted them for their hypocrisy.

. . . 4.) When a lawyer pointed out that Jesus had offended them as well, He didn’t say, “I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to offend you good folks.” He said, “Woe to you lawyers as well!”

. . . Jesus confronted legalism as sin. He insults lawyers.

      So, what is legalism?
Legalism is an attempt to gain favor with God or to impress our fellow man by doing certain things (or avoiding other things), without regard to the condition of our hearts before God.

At the root of legalism is the sin of pride, because the legalist thinks that he is able to commend himself to God by his own good deeds.

Invariably, he is only looking at externals, not at his heart. Also, the legalist’s pride motivates him to exalt himself in the sight of others by his outward behavior, again neglecting to see the corruption of his own heart.

Thus legalism denies human depravity and exalts human ability. As such, it is opposed to the gospel of God’s grace. That’s why both Jesus and Paul clashed with the legalists.

Jesus hates legalism because it does not deal with the condition of our hearts before God.

The lawyers had taken the commands of Scripture and had multiplied them into hundreds of minute adaptations. But, like lawyers in every age, they had also come up with legal loopholes that enabled them to skirt around their own rules, while the average guy was still burdened with them.

The application is that the sin of legalism contaminates unsuspecting people. It turns off unbelievers and keeps them from the truth of the gospel, because they can see the hypocrisy of the legalists.

The legalist can take pride in himself and his attainments because he is looking at outward matters, not at issues of the heart. He doesn’t acknowledge that his heart is just as sinful as the heart of the prostitute or robber.

If he had been reared in their circumstances or had encountered the problems in life they had faced, he would have engaged in the same behavior, because he had the same heart of lust and greed.

No, he sees himself as a notch above these sinners. He has attained a righteous life by his own hard work and discipline. The legalist is puffed up with pride.

      So, Pres. Duterte says:

‘And me I was just being legalistic about it. President Marcos was a president for so long and he was a soldier. So that’s about it. Whether or not he performed worse or better, there is no study, there is no movie about it. It’s just the challenges and allegations of the other side which is not enough.’

      Woe!

Patalikod palagi kung umaksiyon, they are dangerous.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me— And there was no one left to speak for me. —Martin Niemöller (1892-1984)
