To make it easier to remind her, I’ve adjusted the photo that Marcos loyalists are now passing around among themselves.
She may be an outstanding governor but her core value is highly questionable.
Imee Marcos has never said sorry for the premeditated torture and death of Trajano, who was 21 years old at that time he was killed by Imee’s bodyguards. Imee was also 21.
To read more about Trajano’s case, please click on the link below. It is the first Philippine case of extra-judicial killing (ejk) that reached the court (although a foreign court).
Imee Marcos should be proud to have made legal history.
Unfortunately, when it came to getting Imee Marcos to pay up, the Philippine judiciary entirely flubbed the case. The reason the Supreme Court gave was that the court summons to Imee were not properly served since the Sheriff could not find her. LOL.
You can read more about Imee’s Trajano case below:
Imee Marcos told US court – yes Archimedes Trajano was tortured and killed but it’s none of your business
I would like to thank the professor who sent me the photo.
Pls. share so others may know what Imee and her supporters are up to.

APC is a natural-born Pilipino and a natural born American by law of both countries defining what they consider natural -born citizens. Unlike Yasay who became an American through naturalization wherein Yasay took oath of allegiance and renounced his Philippine citizenship, APC did not do so.

From https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal-considerations/us-citizenship-laws-policies/citizenship-child-born-abroad.html
Birth Abroad to One Citizen and One Alien Parent in Wedlock
A child born abroad to one U.S. citizen parent and one alien parent acquires U.S. citizenship at birth under Section 301(g) of the INA provided the U.S. citizen parent was physically present in the United States or one of its outlying possessions for the time period required by the law applicable at the time of the child’s birth. (For birth on or after November 14, 1986, a period of five years physical presence, two after the age of fourteen, is required. For birth between December 24, 1952 and November 13, 1986, a period of ten years, five after the age of fourteen, is required for physical presence in the United States or one of its outlying possessions to transmit U.S. citizenship to the child.) The U.S. citizen parent must be the genetic or the gestational parent and the legal parent of the child under local law at the time and place of the child’s birth to transmit U.S. citizenship.
http://www.chicagopcg.com/dual-faq.html
Who are eligible for dual citizenship?
Natural-born citizens of the Philippines who acquired foreign citizenship by naturalization.
RA 9225 does not apply to dual citizens by birth, i.e., a child born in the United States when either parent was still a Filipino citizen at the time. If the birth was reported to the Philippine Embassy of Consulate, the child is considered to be a dual citizen from birth.
APC did not renounce his Pilipino citizenship to become a US citizen, so he never lost his Pilipino citizen, that is why RA 9225 does not apply to him.
yvonne says
Here is my short take on Alan Peter Cayetano’s citizenship status:
APC was born in 1970 both as a Philppine and U.S. citizen when he was minor. Our law required that within 3 years of reaching the age of majority he needed to make an election whether he wanted to become a Philippine or U.S. citizen, but not both because our law on dual citizenship did not exist yet at that time.
The U.S. Federal Register indicates that APC relinquished his U.S. citizenship only in 1998 when he run for elective office in Taguig. This means two things: (1) APC did not elect to become a Filipino citizen within three years of reaching the age of majority, and (2) he elected instead to become a U.S. citizen which he relinquished only in 1998.
The big questions now are: How did APC acquire his Filipino citizenship after he relinquished his U.S. citizenship since he could not have retained dual citizenship within the three years of reaching the age of majority, and (2) did he acquire legally the Filipino citizenship that he claims to have now?
Legal experts on Philippine citizenship/ immigration laws should provide clarity on this issue.
Mel says
APC’s reaction, see https://www.raissarobles.com/2017/03/10/if-and-when-imee-marcos-runs-for-senator-remind-her-of-archimedes-trajano/comment-page-1/#comment-401673, didn’t specifically answer your probing questions.
I guess, him reaching his ‘age of majority’, didn’t foresee himself becoming a legislator twice and aiming to be a Vice President … potentially becoming a President.
Carmen Rosales says
There is no Philippine law that says dual citizenship by birth is prohibited or not allowed. RA 9225 was passed to afford former Pilipinos to become Pilipinos again after acquiring another nationality through naturalization.
Mel says
What you are actually saying is that, APC even upon reaching the ‘age of majority’, continued to exist with dual citizenships (jus sanguinis) even though the Philippines’ Constitution do not allow it (see relevant Constitution applicable at time).
Was he unlawfully representing himself as a Philippines AND US citizen EVEN after he reached the ‘age of majority’?
At what year, at what age did APC renounced his US Citizenship? Cross verify it with the US’ Federal Register.
Another case in point, what about his siblings (e.g. former Senator Pilar Juliana “Pia” Schramm Cayetano, born in Michigan, United States **)
It is a good and relevant case study. A family whose father was a former Senator as well, whose children with one two many citzenships to rationalize it. Was the departed Cayetano remiss?

THE 1987 CONSTITUTION OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES – ARTICLE IV
ARTICLE IV
CITIZENSHIP
Section 1. The following are citizens of the Philippines:
[1] Those who are citizens of the Philippines at the time of the adoption of this Constitution;
[2] Those whose fathers or mothers are citizens of the Philippines;
[3] Those born before January 17, 1973, of Filipino mothers, who elect Philippine citizenship upon reaching the age of majority; and
[4] Those who are naturalized in accordance with law.
Section 2. Natural-born citizens are those
who are citizens of the Philippines from
birth without having to perform any act to acquire or perfect their Philippine citizenship. Those who elect Philippine citizenship in accordance with paragraph (3), Section 1 hereof shall be deemed
natural-born citizens.
Section 3. Philippine citizenship may be lost or reacquired in the manner provided by law.
Section 4. Citizens of the Philippines who
marry aliens shall retain their citizenship, unless by their act or omission, they are deemed, under the law, to have renounced it.
Section 5. Dual allegiance of citizens is
inimical to the national interest and shall be dealt with by law.
Just like in the US dual citizenship is acceptable but seen as something wrong should there be conflict of allegiance later. Dual citizenship is different from dual allegiance .
I am on the assumption that Renato
Cayetano, APC’s father was a Filipino at the time APC was born (1970) and so APC need not do Section 1, 3 wherein he has to elect citizenship upon reaching the age of majority.
RA 9225 is for Pilipinos who are naturalized citizens of other countries. Will it be fair for natural -born dual citizen Pilipino to lose his Pilipino citizenship and not able to get it back when he did not even renounce in the first place.

It remains with you until such time you choose to renounce it at a later date.Sen APC, dual citizen at one time, claims he didn’t renounce PH citizenship, only his US citizenship.
And, if I’m not mistaken, he didn’t have to elect it. RA 9225 doesn’t apply to him since he didn’t elect, loose or renounced his PH citizenship because of (go back to

” I want Cha-Cha but I don’t like to change provision to sell land to foreigners because they will overrun the Philippines”—— in this case, Duterte does not want to sell land to foreigners for business establishment without compromising Philippine sovereignty despite their money.
“Chinese ships were allowed to surveillance on Benham Rise. I do not want to agitate the Chinese because of the financial support coming from them. The Philippines is getting stronger because of China’s economic support that is why I did not want to pursue claims on South China Sea”——- here, unequivocally, Duterte is selling sovereignty of Philippine territory for Chinese money. This statement contradicts the announcement of DND Sec Lorenzana that the presence of Chinese ships at Benham Rise is disturbing. Lorenzana was dumbfounded upon learning Duterte’s statement.

Here’s what in Makati:
‘One-way streets
Kamagong will remain one-way eastward (toward Ayala Extension). However, a dedicated flow lane segregated by a concrete divider is provided for vehicles coming from Ayala Avenue Extension going to and turning left into Metropolitan Avenue.
Metropolitan Avenue will be one-way (toward Chino Roces) starting from the intersection of Ayala Ave. Extension, South Ave., Metropolitan Ave., up to Chino Roces.
No Right Turn into Metropolitan Avenue will be imposed for vehicles coming from Kamagong Street.
Kamagong Extension (the short road connecting Kamagong and Metropolitan) will remain one-way northward.
More. . . of it –
‘Motorists are advised to observe traffic movements.
For vehicles along Kamagong Street going to both directions of Ayala Ave. Extension and South Ave./Metropolitan Ave.:
Ayala Ave. Extension will remain two-way. Right turn merging from Kamagong into Ayala Avenue Extension is allowed. However, right turners must yield right of way to through traffic along Ayala Ave. Extension. Vehicles bound for Sen. Gil Puyat and Ayala CBD may turn right into Ayala Ave. Extension anytime.
Vehicles bound for South Ave. and Metropolitan Ave. may, on green light, turn left via the new median opening along Ayala Ave. Extension and proceed straight northwards into South Avenue, or turn right into Metropolitan Avenue for those bound for Bel-Air side. Metropolitan Ave. (Bel-Air side) starting at Ayala Ave. Extension will remain two-way streets.
Vehicles using the Kamagong Extension (short road connecting Kamagong and Metropolitan) coming from Kamagong must turn left upon reaching Metropolitan Avenue which is designated one-way westward to Chino Roces from South Ave./Ayala Ave. Extension.
All vehicles coming from Kamagong / Kamagong Extension are not allowed to enter Metropolitan Avenue.
For vehicles using Ayala Extension/South Avenue/Metropolitan Avenue:
No Left Turn into Metropolitan (toward Bel-Air-Jupiter) will be imposed from both South Avenue and Ayala Ave. Extension (toward Chino Roces side).
Except for No U-Turn along Metropolitan Avenue (Bel-Air-Jupiter side), all movements allowed for Metropolitan, such as, crossing into Metropolitan (Chino Roces side); right turn to South Avenue (toward Kalayaan/J.P. Rizal); and, left turn to Ayala Extension (toward Buendia/Ayala CBD), as indicated by traffic signals.
For vehicles using Ayala Extension-Yakal Street intersection where new traffic signals will be operationalized:
Yakal Street will remain one-way westward (toward Chino Roces) starting from Ayala Ave. Extension. Vehicles travelling northward (to Metropolitan) along Ayala Ave. Extension, may, on green light, turn left into Yakal Street.
Emergency vehicles and light private vehicles are allowed to U-Turn along Ayala Extension when left turn signal at Yakal Street is green.
To execute left or U-turning movement, vehicle must queue on a single lane closest to median of northbound lanes and wait for left turn green signal.
Vehicles straying out of designated turning lane must proceed straight.
Opening of Ayala Ave. Extension / Malugay intersection:
Due to the impending construction of Ayala/Sen. Gil Puyat Footbridge, Ayala Ave. Extension/Malugay intersection will be opened to vehicular traffic.
This is aimed to reduce vehicles travelling within the construction site wherein Sen. Gil Puyat will be reduced by one (1) lane per direction.
Vehicles intending to take Ayala Ave. Extension/South Avenue and the northward may divert into Malugay and take Ayala Ave. Extension northward. Malugay will remain one-way from Ayala Ave. Extension all the way to Pres. Osmeña-Mayapis.
Between Ayala Ave. Extension and Sen. Gil Puyat, Malugay will remain two-way.’
Here’s one YOU DO NOT FOLLOW:
‘Under the new system, vehicles with licence plates ending in odd numbers will have access to busy routes throughout the city during rush hour on odd-numbered dates of the month, while those with even-numbered plates will be able to access the routes on even-numbered dates.
The trials will run until the end of August, after which authorities are hoping to permanently enforce the policy until an Electronic Road Pricing system (ERP) is in place.’
‘The initial response to the policy was largely negative. Many citizens believe that it will only cause a hassle, without making much of a dent in the volume of traffic during peak hours.

No more stoooooopid than MMDA officials on this suggestion:
Their new plan:
Numbers coding will be scrapped
In order that every motorists could use their car on a daily basis, Even ending number cars sould travel MetroManila at this time schedule 6-10 AM and 2-5 PM while Odd ending cars could travel from 10AM- 2PM and 5-9 PM.
Current provision is that cars with plate numbers ending 1&2 are not allowed on Monday, 3&4 not on Tues etc till Friday. Saturday’s and Sunday’s are non coding days. In this case, cars could be used for 6 days a week.
In the New Plan- cars could be used everyday but not to go anywhere except be stucked in traffic to destination and then cone back to rig inaction because according to MMDA the average travel from Caloocan to Roxas Blvd is 3-4 hours daily.
Makes sense in computing the New Plan window time of 4 hrs in the morning and 4 hours in the afternoon. According to MMDA, they received so many requests to exempt cars on their coding days with complaints from motorists why they can’t use their cars 7 days a week. Their New Plan allows ALL motorists to drive their cars everyday. Their problem is how to Reach their Destination due to Traffic

Gina Lopez, Duterte’s prime Deodorant
Among Duterte’s appointees, Gina Lopez seems to be the one who tries to impose the laws and regulations for responsible Mining Industry.
Of course she was bypassed by the greedy Mining Lobby and with Dominguez siding with the powerful Lobby Gina Lopez is doomed to be rejected in the Commission on Appointments.
During Gina Lopez’s pending CA’s grilling, Duterte kept mum and did not support Lopez and Duterte played safe by waiting for the reaction of the public. Only after the henchmen of the Mining Industry ganged-up on Lopez both in the House and in the Senate and the overwhelming public support was shown in favor of Gina Lopez, Duterte rode on her popularity and decided to continue using her as deodorant.
And an opportunistic Duterte will not pass to take advantage of the situation by even blaming the destabilization against him is funded by the Mining Lobby who he branded as LP. Even this is a stretch since Dominguez and Zamora and most of the henchmen in the House and the Senate are Duterte allies, still Duterte branded them as LP! False claims are again repeated to even heighten the hatred of Duterte Trolls against the LP, even though the rejection of Lopez was done by Duterte allies!
Alvarez also wants to upstage his boss Duterte by claiming that De Lima is the number one Drug Lord in the country, which even the majority of ka DDS don’t believe this fabrication and exaggeration.
Duterte’s administration is now also under the scrutiny of the International Community, from UN, Human Rights Watch, the White House, and even the American TV shows are after Duterte. Madam Secretary’s episode about the Philippine President really called out Duterte’s madness and his chauvinistic attitude towards women. The show was even soft on Duterte for it did not bring up the extra-judicial killings and his penchant to apply killing as the solution to all the problems that plague the country.
With Aguirre’s involvement in the extortion of Lam, the Senate’s report that implicitly admits the existence of EJK when Mayor Espinosa was executed inside his cell, the corroborating testimony of Lascanas on what Matobato’s revelations, the Human Rights Watch Report, his extortion on Mighty Corporation which shows that is similar to why Peter Lim is free to answer the charges of being a drug lord because of a negotiated sum paid to Duterte, and the Sandra Cam’s Meltdown and sense of Entitlement of using the Airport’s VIP Lounge without paying and berating the employees who were just doing their job, no wonder Duterte really needs a deodorant with all the malodorous stench that is reeking his administration.
One thing that Duterte is worried and wary about is that the Military will step in to save the Republic from his madness!

It seems the powers that be are under a spell of cognitive dissonance.
Take Sen Pacquiao for example (chair of the CA committee on environment and natural resources), he was the chairperson during the CA hearing for G Lopez’s ad interim appointment DENR Secretary for confirmation.
He was also behind the move to unseat Sen de Lima as Chairperson of the Committee on Justice and Human Rights.
If only Leila de Lima, former human rights commissioner and justice secretary, continued and was able to convict then Davao Mayor RR Duterte for heinous crimes before, the Philippines would have been spared of what has become of it today. To include being spared of her state of incarceration and political persecution today.
Will Sen Pacquiao scot free off his tax evasion charges? His gifts, gratuities to political leaders over many years of giving free tickets, accommodations and the like in many of his US mainland boxing bouts, including maybe Macau, to his House mates and other elected gov’t officials, political patrons & aficionados.
Recent expose of PNP de la Rosa receiving free flights, tickets and accommodations to Sen Pacquiao’s recent Las Vegas fight wasn’t the only gov’t official who availed of it. In the past, Pacquiao has to charter private plane(s) to bring in some gov’t officials to watch and support his boxing fights in the US. Was he investigated of giving these ‘gifts’ to gov’t officials? Instead people are rebuked for even complaining about it. [Cognitive dissonance] he is daw a national hero so exempted di bah siya from these gratuities & inducements to gov’t officials… including his then unmatched number of absences while a congressman.

in return for boosting pakyaw’s morale, those accompanying him got free accommodation, free tickets and paid trips.
and as good christian, pakyaw should not expect those accompanying him to pay him back by compromising their beliefs of what is right and wrong. they have already paid him back by campaigning for him, voting for him and getting him the job of being senator. a job that pays well, has many perks and last for years.
if they are also expected to back up pakyaw at all things and everything kahit labag sa conscience nila, that would be overkill, overpayment and unnecessary. and that would not be good christian principle. fair is fair: their debt to pakyaw is already paid. no need for them to overpay him. and if pakyaw is indeed a good christian, he’ll understand.

@ arc, halata naman na halos puro hakot ang mga politico na kasama sa entourage tuwing may fight si pakyaw. kaya bilang pasasalamat sa kanya the senators give him the power to “i move to kuntimp” or ” let the post vacant” kawawa naman talaga si pakyaw ilang milyones na ang nagastos nya in exchange sa ganitong powerful position in the senate. akala nya talagang magaling sya at kaya nyang alisin sa mga chairmanship ang kung sino ang gusto. ng mga anti-LP.

You are right to news quote that the Feb 25 Luneta rally was nothing more than just to support the Duterte administration. It was staged to counter the People Power Anniversary gathering at Edsa.
Kudos sa mga TPB whistle blowers to expose the scam, racket and corrupt behavior of the Duterte appointees in gov’t positions.

montano did not think well of whistle blowers dahil hindi raw sila nagbigay ng pangalan, like maybe, he’ll add thier names to digong’s drug list.

excerpt from: Drilon wants to knock out Pacquiao’s proposed boxing commission
But Pacquiao, a world boxing champ, said he finds the efforts of the GAB lacking, considering that the board only has 154 employees and is handling 22 sports.
“It’s been a long time. I’m just waiting for the action of the GAB to make action to this very alarming — what’s happening in the boxing industry, not only in boxing pero sa combat sports,” Pacquiao said.
“And wala akong nakitang action or solution for this matter,” he added.
Pacquiao said he is “willing to fight [for] the bill” as at least two of his friends died in the boxing ring.
The said proposal seeks to “promote the safety and welfare of Filipino boxers” by implementing stricter requirement procedures for professional boxers.
“I’m a boxer. I’m an athlete, considered as combat sports. I feel and I know how hard boxing is, in training and in the preparation [for] the fight. It’s been a long time,” Pacquiao said.

gustong bigyan ni pakyaw ng death penalty ang gab, he, he, he. I declare gab vacant! the organization – dead!
kung unhappy si pakyaw sa gab, why did he wait a long time to say something? why wait for gab to make action when he could have sunk his snout early on, be proactive instead of reactive and put gab into pressure. saka na lang siya kumilos after his two boxer friends died. he could not see it coming? or, maybe, if pakyaw have been sports doctor he might have been able to tell his friends were not physically ready to fight, but fought anyway because of the money.
pakyaw would declare gab vacant, null and void, so his friends and relatives can be the new sports admin. and mommy dionisia would be sports adviser.

Politicians lie, all the time. If not outright, just shades to mask.
Sample. Didn’t he lie of his injury(s) when he was scheduled, to make the fight with F Mayweather happen?
His gratuities to gov’t officials (see related comment) whenever he has boxing fights in the US, his gifts and invitations were unlawfully given, offered or dangled to other serving gov’t officials. excerpt from: ROUND 2 OF BOXING COMMISSION DEBATE
Pacquiao wanted to close the interpellation if they cannot agree on the relevance of the measure. Drilon reminded Pacquiao that there is no such thing as a “closure rule.”
Drilon then asked Pacquiao why the proposed boxing commission should be under the Office of the President. Pacquiao explained that the head of the boxing commission will be a presidential appointee.
“I hope I can convince the gentleman that the mere fact that a government official is appointed by the President is not a justification for the direct supervision of the President over a commission or an agency,” Drilon said.
“I think that’s very basic,” he added.
Drilon also asked why boxing is defined as an “industry” in the bill.
When Pacquiao argued that the sport was considered a business, Drilon said: “If it’s a business, why are we using public funds for the retirement of boxers?”
Before the interpellation was suspended, Pacquiao said he hopes Drilon will not “stop” the proposal.
Drilon reminded Pacquiao that he is only one vote out of 24 senators.
“I cannot stop the measure. I can only vote,” Drilon said.

Compare Sen. Pacquiao’s answer:
“Manny Pacquiao admitted that he fought Floyd Mayweather with an injury after he hurt his right shoulder in training.
In his post-fight press conference, Pacquiao said he wasn’t able to do things he needed to do because of his injury.
He had his best moments in the fight in the fourth round, when he tagged Mayweather with a left straight that staggered the unbeaten American champion.
When asked why he wasn’t able to follow through, he answered: “It was because my shoulder hurt.”
Pacquiao, however, added that he didn’t want to complain and that “it was part of the game.”
With Lascanas answer that he feared for his life why he lied.
Pacquiao did not inform everybody before that fight.
Lascasnas failed to inform everybody he was lying for fear of his life.
Which LIE is justifiable? And which LIE is the baddest lie?

And here is what Floyd said of Manny:
“Floyd Mayweather appears to have accused Manny Pacquiao of making excuses after the Filipino said he was held back by a shoulder injury during their fight in Las Vegas.”
Pacquiao refuses to accept Lascanas’ excuses.

It’s a sickness to be arrogant. And there is no medicine cure for it. Arrogance is not in-born but taught at early age.
When arrogance is nurtured at early stages in life it becomes a part of one’s character always at all times. Power, wealth and arrogance combined into one makes abundant defects for one.
All other characters linke compassion and forgiving are absolutely lost. To say ‘Sorry’ to others is absent absolutely. Where does one learns all these? From elders if it is found with them.
Ms. Irene Marcos, please SAY I AM SORRY for Mr. TRAJANO.

Your blog Raissa is a great source of information but it is just too small a platform to effect a change in the mindset of Filipino voters. However, if each and every reader of your blog will convince one and the power of one is in effect, then there will be a greater ripple…. To do it takes a lot of courage and conviction and strength of character…
Filipinos, in general, DO NOT HAVE that courage and conviction in the face of GOLD & GUNS & GOONS…. They would rather take the money and have one day of fun and 6 years of TYRANNY…

So many torture stories of Marcos years. I was only 12 when Martial Law was declared but our school discussed with us during History class its implications and the powers it vests on one family. All these abuses were true…sadly today these are now presented as myths and are slowly erased from the minds of people. I am amazed at the stories, coming out lately, of heroism and valiance of the oppressors during that time. Makes me wonder why I saw it differently then, my uncle too was a victim just because he sported long hair. People will believe what they like to believe…the truth cannot get in the way of a good story.

I was there when Trajano questioned Imee of her role as Kabataang Barangay chair…
There were hundreds of us students at Mapua at that time because classes were suspended due to her speech at the gym. But we never knew then that he was killed later. Or maybe some of Trajanos classmates may have heard the news. Mapua admin never informed students of what happened.

Can you recall for us the scene when Trajano questioned Imee before the student body? HOw was she? And how was he?
And when did you find out about the death of Trajano?

Ms. Raissa, if this information might help, there was a Social Studies/Rizal subject teacher in Mapua in the 80s-90s who was a Trajano. I just forgot her full name. She was quite a celebrity in the campus as she loves to wear color coordinated clothes. I am sure she is related to Archimedes. I hope she is still around to tell her story. She would be in her 70s by now. She has a son named Allan Trajano who also graduated from Mapua sometime around the late 80s early 90s. He worked for Delbros after graduation.

Was a Mapua student at that time. The incident was kind of a suppressed one days after the incident. First heard the incident few weeks after. During our ROTC drill. I am not here to disappoint, but we openly talked about the incident. Even the story that Trajano was dragged outside. Nobody cares or only few care during those time. Marcos was popular during those years- ’75 to ’79.
