Oust-Leni rally now circulating petition urging Duterte to declare a revolutionary government and revert to Marcos’ Martial Law Constitution

By Raïssa Robles

My thanks to Jerome Aning of Philippine Daily Inquirer for sharing online a copy of the petition that intends to kill Philippine democracy and replace it with one-man rule.

It is now turning out that the political exercise going on at the Luneta Grandstand right now is not simply a rally to pressure Vice President Leni Robredo to resign.

It is the first open attempt to gather support for Duterte to turn his democratically-elected leadership into a dictatorship. It is what Marcos, his role model, did in 1972.

Eerily, the petition is urging Duterte to commit a coup d’état  on the presidency – which is what Marcos also did – and impose a revolutionary government.

The petition asks that this revolutionary government scrap the 1987 Philippine Constitution and revert the country to the 1973 Constitution – the charter that Marcos forced the 1972 Constitutional Convention into approving.

The 1973 Constitution, which the petition refers to, made it constitutional and legal for the President to arrest and jail anyone for years without charges, legislate laws, muzzle the Supreme Court and do pretty much anything without accountability.

In short, the 1973 Constitution allowed the President to govern as a TYRANT.

The petition now being circulated in Luneta claims that the revolutionary period would only last two years and set up a federal form of government.

There is ABSOLUTELY NO GUARANTEE that once you give a tyrant all the powers, he would abide by that time frame or do what you wish. By that time, there is nothing to prevent him from doing anything because the 1987 Constitution would by then be gone.

If that happens, Duterte would be THE POWER all to himself, with no checks and balances and no accountability.

Marcos’ Martial Law lasted all of 14 years until he was chased out of the country. By then his regime had killed and tortured thousands of Filipinos, stolen billions of dollars and all but destroyed Philippine democratic institutions.

The 1981 alleged lifting of Martial Law by Marcos was only a paper lifting.

I know. I was there, right in Malacanang Palace where I watched the dictator himself announce the “lifting” of Martial Law.

Below is the petition now being circulated, which absolutely violates the oath of office that President Rodrigo Roa Duterte took on June 30, 2016 when he said:

“I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully and conscientiously fulfill my duties as President of the Philippines, preserve and defend its Constitution, execute its laws, do justice to every man, and consecrate myself to the service of the Nation. So help me God.”

Rally fail?

long queue in airport immigration due to demoralized personnel? Corrupt immigration officials and employees were used to collecting overtime pay by hanging around airport. Worst is their extortion activities in airports have been curtailed. They are retaliating by calling absent or sick calls frequently from work, filing mass leave and resigning to look for other govt jobs.

They were spoiled due to corrupt immigration officials. As usual the public suffers. Tourism us affected too.
Since govt knows how many arrivals and departures occur daily in NAIA, it’s inconceivable why they didnt train and assign many personnel daily.

As usual the cause is Corruption from collecting undeserving overtime pay by supervising officials that has been going on for decades. these officials have already figured out their monthly take from corruption as part of their income. They have luxurious lifestyles, children in prestigious schools, mistresses and frequent foreign travels. The income was drastically cut off so they devised ways to bring back up their income from corruption.

Law of supply and demand at work thru corruption in Immigration and DOJ office.

Poor FILIPINOS. It’s always fun in the Philppines

You people who are against Pareng Digong, continue your relentless obstruction of his campaign promises to the electorate and you will “reap” a groundswell of support for this call for a revolutionary government similar to the one established by Cory Aquino back in 1986. You will be sorry, as you will be the first targets of the New Order, backed by no less than the military, the police and more than 90% of the entire Filipino population. You had better start applying for foreign visas, selling whatever properties you have here in order to start a new life somewhere else. You do not belong in the Philippines; you have no place here.

      That’s what I thought.

You just wrote a direct threat against those who oppose a revolutionary government, when you said:

“You will be sorry, as you will be the first targets of the New Order, backed by no less than the military, the police…”

This confirms that what you are trYing to establish is a DICTATORSHIP.

The ICC will take care of your Pareng Digong. From Wiki…The ICC has the jurisdiction to prosecute individuals for the international crimes of genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes. The ICC is intended to complement existing national judicial systems and it may therefore only exercise its jurisdiction when certain conditions are met, such as when national courts are unwilling or unable to prosecute criminals or when the United Nations Security Council or individual states refer investigations to the Court.

The sly and devious contradictions continue… Remember the D’s pronouncement that the VP was welcome to the cabinet? She was later told she didn’t have to attend the meetings anymore. Remember when it was announced that the President believed she was not privy to the alleged “cheating” by the LP during the elections? BBM lodged a “recount” case against her. Remember when Malacanang issued a statement that she didn’t have any part in any destabilization efforts against the sitting Duck? Mocha Uson, along with the whole of Trollandia lambasted her for being ambitious and wanting to be President. Remember when DU30 spoke about not wanting an impeachment against her? His allies were quick to say they will proceed with impeachment raps even without the blessing of their god. And just when was that conciliatory dinner extended to her and her family? Now this palit-bise rally by the following of you-know-who… Watch the movie Idiocracy and things will be put into the right perspective. Dumbing down a nation: it’s more fun in the Philippines! .

“He is a man so unpredictable, so reckless, so petulant, so full of blind self-regard, so untethered to reality that it is impossible to know where his presidency will lead or how much damage he will do to our nation,” the Times wrote.

    Corruption of Duterte appointed officials.

Duterte is beset with complaints of corruption by people close to him. First were his Lex Taliones brods, then there was Lavinia, Sueno is next on the guillotine. Aguirre is still a hard suspect based from some govt officials.

His people are wary of asking “commission” from deals they facilitate in their department because they are suspicious of their fellow officials as snitches.

Their new modus of corruption is called “skimming” used by Cesar Montano from Tourism and Jimmy Bondoc of PAGCOR. easily done by officials in the entertainment industry by organizing pro Duterte rallies.

It’s no coincidence that both Montano and Bondoc claimed their dept spent 1million pesos funds for their rallies disguised as entertainment expenses of their department. Why 1 million? Any govt employee involved in this kind of representation expenses know this is within the budget limit without required bidding for the project. It’s no coincidence also that the primary entertainters for the rally are Montano and Bondoc. Being paid entertainters themselves their managers or talents agents could be paid for their services without putting their names submitted to their departments. Neat, eh! Corruption to the bone.

The way it’s going for Duterte, by next year, half of his appointed officials would be fired by him for corruption

“gava” is a site supposed to be for charity purpose and funds raised are for the benefits of the poor. If they have collected that much donation, I think D.A.V.A.O has missed led people. (look at https://www.gavagives.com/explore/ourpartners” ) the list of partners are of charity institution or foundations.

I strongly think gava should not allow D.A.V.A.O to use their site to solicit fund. They (D.A.V.A.O) has a different agenda. SEC must also take a look into them. I think there is a law or something with regards of collecting donations?

Just like 1899 Malolos Constitution, 1935 Constitution and 1943 Constitution. They were succeeded and superceded.

Instead, 1987 Constitution should be amended for federalism and neoliberal economy liberalization to abolish restrictions thru Constituent Assembly.

Just an fyi there was an online statement regarding where the funds came in. There is a site called gavagives. where supporters all over the world sent their contributions. They were able to raise 2M. I even saw some posts saying that the site went down for some time, probably due to sudden increase of the number of people trying to access it.

Now if there were cabinets who joined the protest we cannot just say that they have used money from their dept to help fund the activity. That is just plain assumption.

Yes we do have freedom of speech. But just like any kind of freedom it comes with a responsibility. That is to make sure that all we are saying are truth (at least to the best of our knowledge). Now, if you have proof that any of those cabinet members or government staff who attended or facilitated this event have used have used government funds illegally, then by all means file a case in the court.

The thing is nowadays assumptions are being passed as truth by people. And people who are too lazy to do critical thinking and blind to see logic and reasoning tends to pass these ideas not being mindful of the effect.

If you are helping in spreading unfounded news that tends to malign people or whoever, then your are not helping the situation at all.

Jimmy Bondoc used PAGCOR revolving fund from his office approved by Andra Domingo for 1 million pesos. Crowd sourcing funding raised was another 1 million pesos. Bondoc claimed he spent half of 2 million and the rest of the money is in his pocket for future use.

This according to Jimmy Bondoc he revealed in his interview last night to Phili Inquirer reporter. Read the Inquirer for more PAGCOR officials who were in the rally. Andrea Domingo and Camen Pedrosa were both speakers rallying the crowd.

3 high ranking officials of PAGCOR leading the rally needing funding smells government money spent for the rally. PAGCOR profits should go to healthcare ofthe poor according to Duterte but PAGCOR has revolving funds for entertainment controlled by its Entertaintment Director Bondoc, Administrator Domingo and approval by directors which includes Pedroza.

Trifecta using govt funds. PAGCOR has no business funding political rallies except for gaming related events and charity related entertainment events. The rally was neither gaming related or a charity affair.

Ask Bondoc the details of 1 million expenses for a handful of people.
