Read this to understand what President Duterte means when he says his Martial Law will be “harsh” like Marcos’ Martial Law

“Martial Law is Martial Law,” Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte recently said as he explained his sudden declaration of Martial Law through an interview with Palace chief propagandist Mocha Uson.

Then Duterte added a word of warning to those who had suffered Martial Law under his role model, dictator Ferdinand Marcos: “So kayong mga kababayan ko (so to my countrymen), you have experienced martial law it will not be any different from what the President Marcos did. I’ll be harsh.”

Duterte then justified his harshness by saying, “I have to do it to preserve the Republic of the Philippines.”

Today, fewer people know what Duterte means by the word “harsh” since there are more Filipinos now who were born after the dictator Marcos was forced to flee the country in 1986.

To give readers some idea of what Duterte means by “harsh”, I am posting here for anyone to read online excerpts from my book, Marcos Martial Law: Never Again.

The first excerpt is part of the introduction – The Boy who Fell from the Sky.

Here is the link to read it online.

http://bit.ly/2qmuqyr

The second excerpt is – Advent of the New Society which includes The Road to Martial Law. It shows the steps Marcos took to impose martial rule.

Here is the link to read it online.

http://bit.ly/2qVLQ7X

You can share the links with anyone so they, too, can read them online.

I am doing this in the hope that more Filipinos will know what happened in the past so it will never ever be repeated again. – Raïssa

Several reasons why Duterte was not visible during the Philippine Independence Day celebration, his should have been first as Philippine President, not in Luneta, not in Marawi.

    1. He is really really sick, and I mean terminally sick
    2. He is so ashamed for not living up to the jetski to Scarborough election campaign promise
    3. He did not live up to his promise as well to raise the Philippine flag at Kalayaan Group of Islands.
    4. He is so ashamed that while he openly cursed at the Americans for “meddling” at our internal affairs, they are the first ones to provide military assistance to our AFP while we are celebrating our Independence Day.
    5. Meantime, the promised military assistance like firearms and military hardware from China and Russia have yet to materialize.
    6. Finally, SolGen Calida’s admission that the government knew of the Marawi incident prior to it happening puts the Duterte government in a bad light, whether true or false. If it is false, then it is a lame excuse for the declaration of Martial Law in Mindanao. If it is true, then this is incompetence in its highest form. If they knew of the Maute plan in Marawi, why did Duterte proceeded with his Russian trip together with the Secretary of DND, incoming Secretary of DILG, AFP Chief of Staff, Chief of PNP, Chief of Philippine Army, Chief of Air Force, Chief of Philippine Navy, National Security Adviser, and dozens of other cabinet officials? They are guilty of negligence. The blood civilian and military casualties are on their hands.

    Hypocrites running the Philippines

Duterte in his Independence Day speech expressed gratitude to US for their assistance in fighting Marawi terrorists but he claimed he did not ask succor from the Americans. Technically, he is right because he was advised by DND Lorenzana, AFP chief Gen Ano and NSC Sec that they need US military expertise to finally defeat Maute bandits since their promise to take over Marawi by June 12 was impossible. They proceeded with the attack but the marines were felled by rebel snipers because of their strategic positions.

Digong called DFA sec Cayetano to relay the message to US ambassador Kim, who called Sec Tillerson. A cable was sent to US dept of State with the express consent of Digong in writing about the assistance sought. Positive response relayed to Cayetano in which US initially sent surveillance plane. Though, it was a little too late for the 13 marines already engaged in battle trying to achieve Marawi liberation target date. Due to dilly dallying of Duterte to give hisconsent because he was more concerned with his ego, blood of the 13 marines are in his hands.

Duterte, the doofus trying to save face for his idiotic ego, claimed he did not DIRECTLY called the Americans but he gave go signal to Cayetano to do the honors. SOP that No foreign government will participate in an active war without written request and approval from the requesting country leader. Even US Ambassador could not give consent on assistance without approval of Dept State Sec and Près Trump.

Silence of DFA Sec Cayetano is the proof. US State Sec Tillerson talking now about the assistance confirms the TRUTH

    Hypocrites exposed themselves

Levity aside however, how many lives of our soldiers and civilians could have been saved if PD30 did not unnecessarily antagonize and spurn an ally who could have helped us from the beginning of the Marawi attack?

The claim of the Maute patriarch about an agreement with PD30 to clean up Marawi should also be seriously studied because this means the terrorist might not be in Marawi but in Malacanang.

the fools tried to outdo one another. hala tira! aquirre telling likes, alvarez telling lies, only the mautes are not tellling lies, he, he, he. maybe, if digong and co speak the truth, the mautes can be halted. kaso the more they lie, the more the mautes dig in, the more marawi city gets bombed, the more men the military loses.

sorry to say, I think, the military lies when it said the mautes are weakened, only to have 12 marines killed so soon after the fact.

june 12, digong will raise the flag in marawi city, the mautes rounded up by then, sabi.

raising the flag, I’ve heard that before: digong on a jetski to plant flag on the shoal. didn’t happen that one. digong to stop illegal drugs in 3 months, didn’t happen too. and the only mautes caught were the parents, mom and dad maute. will the flag be successfully raised in marawi city on june 12? dont cry for me, marawi city, the truth is, the lie is, you’re being lied to, he, he, he.

Digong is going to raise American flag. It’s revealed that for the military to be able achieving their goal to reclaim Marawi, special U.S. forces are needed to help them. A US spy plane was spotted over Marawi. US snipers in place. Armed drones ready to strike tonite.

Digong compromised the safety of Filipinos by his egotist attitude declining American forces and firearms. His military are not inclined to train with Chinese and Russians.

Sources confirmed that high military officials told Digong to ask the Americans for help or he would go down in Philippine history to lose a city to bandits on Independence Day

ang alam ko riyan, neighboring countries are helping and doing thier bit. best to keep terrorists in the one spot, and closely monitoring their own borders for intransigent travelers and would be terrorists. countries also share info kuno though they may their own problems with terrorists too, eg. indonesia.

funny though, this independence day, digong urged pinoys to keep and uphold our national sovereignty, because he cannot. he is hopeless at it, he, he, he. he’ll attend kuno the flag raising ceremony in luneta, together with leni.

vice president leni robredo is not emissary so far as I know and has nothing to do with US forces. she led the flag raising ceremony sa luneta dahil absent na naman si digong. cayetano represented digong who was sick kuno, sick in the head.
