Roilo Golez was the last person I thought would die so soon. The former lawmaker and national security adviser was lean; he looked fit and was active.
His death came as a shock because the last thing he tweeted was this:
In retrospect, it seems that while he was saying “Good morning!” Philippines, the photo was really that of Golez leaping into eternity.
So long, Sir. I will miss interviewing you.
I will miss your patient explanations.
To the end, Golez was tweeting and writing about the West Philippine Sea and standing up for the rights of Filipinos.
He died on the eve of our Independence Day.
One of his last tweets was a personal appeal to President Rodrigo Duterte to file a diplomatic protest on behalf of Filipino fishermen whose catch was being seized by Chinese coast guards.
“We Filipinos should stand up for this man.
Mr. President, Sir, I appeal to you to order the filing of a strong, publicly announced diplomatic protest.
I believe Chinese Coast Guard personnel not only violating our Exclusive Economic Zone but also committing acts of piracy.”
Golez insisted that the fishermen were being bullied, contrary to the government’s denials.
“The Chinese Coast Guard men did not look like they were bullying? They came on board an armed speed boat from a huge mother ship to confront a fragile Filipino banca. That per se is bullying. No need for mean looks and huffing and puffing.”
I have an idea, Sir.
Do you think you could spare a moment to visit Duterte’s bedroom, you know, the one with the mosquito net, and remind him yourself everything he should be doing to ensure that the West Philippine Sea benefits future generations of Filipinos?
Perhaps, now, he will listen to you.
In the Samar misencounter incident, what was the MISSION
of the soldiers – reconn or what?
If reconnaissance then the PNP cops resting should not
have been fired upon. Team leader of the soldiers must
be clearly ask to explain on this.
Before saying ‘misencounter’ verify whether there was
misjudgment, miscalculation, misinterpretation, misthinking,
misheroing, mislooking, misshaping, missleeping, misdrinking,
mislacking, and MISETC.
All of the above etc., resulting into a messy mess of things = deaths
of the COPS.
Errs are not missed.
It seems the PNP is always short-changed by the Army – consider the Mamasapano massacre where 44 specially-trained policemen were unmercifully way-laid by the well-entrenched MILF and the nearby soldiers with powerful artillery already zeroed-in on the Muslim separatists but the order to fire was not given lest the on-going peace negotiation could be jeopardized
In the Samar “mis-encounter” kuno, the army were on higher grounds and in an ambush position and therefore could easily
recognized the uniforms of the PNP. In a reverse position, the PNP could not determine that the incoming soldiers are NPAs or Army because they have the same uniforms
PRRD must do something ASAP to mollify the ill-feelings of the fallen and their families
Pdutz accepts responsibility for the Samar mis-encounter.
What does it mean? Go on with the investigation of Miss Encounter.
But why have 2 or more gov’t armed groups DOING patrols in the same area?
One patrols for bandits? For NPA groups? Another patrols for patrolling what then?
Isn’t dangerous for both or more patrols? IT IS. President should STOP 2 or more patrols then.
Or why not COMBINE patrols?
Errs can be missed.
polis and military got report of presence of communist insurgents kuno whether the report was hoax or not no one knows. basta ang dyan na lang both ang polis at military sa grid, no insurgents were found, but polis and military found each other and exchanged fire.
tapos, digong give parangal, order of lapu lapu rank of kalasag, to the nasawi sa bakbakan. I hope talaga this parangal will not serve as inducement o encouragement for more misencounters to happen in the future.
mali pala ako, thinking parangals are only given to those that did really well, having done something excellent and exemplary. pati palpak pala may parangal na ngayon.
at saka, ingon ng comfort man ni duterte na si lorenzana na may mga pagkukulang kunong nangyari. aw! you dont have to be defence chief to know na may mga pagkukulang na nangyari, he, he, he. kahit sinong tambay at kutong lupa alam yan, grape vine nila jungle telegraph, he, he, he.
so, incidentally, where was lorenzana when digong’s pet dogs (pardon the expression po) rip into each other?
at saka uli, any one can now see na may pattern talagang pina-follow si digong. when confronted with angry kadamays, he rewarded them by giving them houses! when confronted by angry families of those masawi sa samar encounter, he remunerated and rewarded them with pera, cell phones at parangals. when china confronted digong and threaten him with war, digong give china pinas!
the gift of giving to shut up one and all, he, he, he, specialty yata yan ni digong, buying himself out of problems. and yet, problems still exists and multiplying, and inquiries still have to be done.
and according to survey, digong is as popular as ever! yeah, right. cancer is also just as popular, everyone knows cancer, the number one killer yata yan, aside from those ejk-ed by polis dahil pekeng nanlaban. mosquitoes and dengue are just as popular, if not highly popular, dengvaxia comes highly rated too in popularity and infamy.
solgen calida is just as highly popular, his sekyu company and his own vested interest in it are the prime talk of the nation. and quo warranto tops them all, says kutong lupa me, he, he, he.
For sometime, the public was and is being conditioned for leadership changes in the Lower House. A distraction? Or another sinister plot?
Why won’t the LH minor party leaderships and LH Representatives (across party affiliations/memberships) DEMAND that the Articles of Impeachment against SC CJ ML Sereno which was approved by their LH Committee on Justice (Headed by Umali) be put to a vote in the LH Plenary.
EVEN IF the Judiciary Branch has decided, finally ruled on the quo warranto petition of SG Calida.
IT is the Legislative Branch’s Constitutional mandate to rule and impeach, in this case the Head of the Judiciary Branch. It is not necessarily moot and academic if another branch has decided based on a quo warranto petition. Impeachment is the constitutional path of way to remove a head of a branch of gov’t.
IF BB Marcos uses the PET (SC) to “discredit the victory of Vice President Leni Robredo and cast doubt on the integrity of our election system.”* Why would the Legislative Branch deny another Head of Branch her constitutional right to be heard? House Representatives should demand their LH leaders to put to vote, what they have already started in Justice Committee.
Cunning BB Marcos has used the publicity and political mileage with his PET case. SC CJ ML Sereno deserves justice, to be heard in an impeachment court.
House Leadership(s) spill? Current LH leaders failure to continue the impeachment process, is their tantamount failure to assert their independence, also as duly elected representatives of their constituents. Failure to do so, then shows they cow tow as lap dogs of the Executive Branch leader, who openly regarded another Branch Head (Judiciary) as his enemy. It was a political ‘moro-moro’ process all along. tsk tsk tsk if the House Representatives fails to assert their mandate when they resume session.
* Bongbong’s cheating claim is fake news – lawmaker, https://www.philstar.com/nation/2018/06/24/1827298/bongbongs-cheating-claim-fake-news-lawmaker
the man who wants to be president is over run by his own trolls! no wonder po, he got zero vote in one district. for as long as he carries the marcos name, he wont get to where he wanted to be. he should re-invent himself and carry his wife’s name, he might go far. being a marcos is heavy burden, and privileged bong is not for carrying heavy burden, he got trolls to do that.
bong should stop cheating himself and face facts, stop being dependent on trolls too. there is nothing brave in a man that cannot acknowledge the will of the people, real people with feelings and voting power, not trolls hiding in caves and creating fake news, boosting bong’s frail ego, lol!
bong kept saying the infamy of the past is gone, his family’s infamy expunged, yet he cannot let the past alone, sour pa rin for losing the vice presidency. smile bong and get up, dust yourself of the past. soar and not crawl, mire in self pity.
if bong really wants to be president, he should show he is good sport, one that can take a punch on the chin, can take the good with the bad. if people see him as good bloke with sense of humor, not humbug and sour, he might just get to become president even if he has the face of a marcos.
and the best thing bong can do now is reach out and congratulate leni for winning the vice presidency. ipakita ni bong sa buong sambayanan he truly is good sport and not one crying bitterly over spilled milk. ipakita ni bong that he is the better man, the man of the people, not the man of the trolls, propped up by trolls, fueled by trolls agenda and driven by their hatred. it’s exhausting!
bong, give your millions to the poor hard hit by digong’s train law. take care of the poor now for they’ll be the ones voting you in next election. feed the poor and spoil them rotten and they’ll pay you back in more ways than you can imagine.
and be good to leni, her followers might just give you the presidency. but if you antagonize leni’s voters, they may not vote for you and deny you what you covet the most, again. change tactic now while you can.
charm offensive, not trolls offensive. be kind, not bitter.

Duterte blasts Bible creation story: ‘Who is this stupid God?’
After recent tirades against priests and the Church’s “hypocrisy,” PRRD cursed God and called God “stupid” for the concept of “original sin” in the Bible’s creation story
Duterte on Friday, June 22, began retelling the story of Adam and Eve and how they ate the fruit from the forbidden tree and thus brought original sin upon humankind.
“Kinain ni Adam then malice was born. Who is this stupid God? Istupido talaga itong putangina kung ganoon, said Duterte during a summit in Davao City.
“You created something perfect and then you think of an event that would tempt and destroy the quality of your work,” he continued
The President, a Catholic, said he finds it preposterous that babies should be born with original sin.
“Tsuk tsak lang ‘yun ng nanay pati tatay mo wala ka pang kasali tapos ngayon may original sin ka. Tanginang klase – anong klaseng
relihiyon ‘yan? ‘Yan ang hindi ko matanggap. What a stupid proposition.” said an incensed Duterte.
Yet after this tirade, Duterte insists he still believes in a greater being. It’s religion and institutions he does not trust. (more)
http://www.rappler.com/8:51 AM Duterte blasts Bible creation story
. . . ‘the story of Adam and Eve and how they ate the fruit from the forbidden tree and thus brought original sin upon humankind.’ is a FAKE story. I have misgivings on this portion of the story.
Eating ‘a fruit’ from a tree that is forbidden is preposterous. If it is a fruit then EAT IT!
The fellow who wrote such story was not even around at the time. Did he or she say she or he was there at the time of the incident? Nada. So, how can he or she say it happened like that?
Fake yun. Eating a created fruit resulted into a sin, an original sin? And acc to our religion’s teaching, handed down to generations of children? Fake yun.
My take is this: the original sin was adultery and concubinage. What Eve erred was to love a another handsome male [ it was the Devil] better looking than Adam. She tasted the hanging fruit of D-handsome male…his balls. Taste better than Adam’s.
She then goes to Adam bringing the now D-pretty she [ clever Devil changing into a pretty SHE] who Adam not age but cohabited with this SHE like a 2nd female companion.
Thus, both Eve and Adam, committed adultery and concubinage, respectively. Yan ang original sin. But their children through generations could not have done the same. It’s fake story to extend that sin downward.
Tama siguro si PDutz? he he he
Be Open Minded on this fake story.
some fruits cannot be eaten dahil poisonous po. and duterte is as stupid as adam! betting ako, duterte’s one regret is that he cannot kiss eve lips to lips, he, he, he, may adam’s apple pa naman siya. inherited from adam.
original sins in babies are easily remedied, much easier to remedy than cleft plate.
duterte should be more concern about the lowering value of our peso contra dolyar, the rising crime rate, the diminishing investors na walang tiwala sa economiya natin. ayaw na nilang mag-invest sa pinas na within firing range of chinese missles.
also mahirap mag-invest dito dahil uncertain ang gobyerno, democracy o federalism, mabibinbin ang investments. sa ibang bansa na lang sila nag-invest, mas stable ang gobyerno duon at hindi buang and lederato.
I agree – it’s a fake story – but it’s in the Bible, like “Israel was the chosen people of God” but the Israelis do not believe in Jesus Christ,” and “God was the creator of Heaven and Earth,” but the advent of modern science such as carbon dating, etc show otherwise relative to creation of earth – that planet earth was created 4 to 5 billion years ago after a series of asteroids hit and living things and oceans appear later (wikipedia) – an example was the dinosaurs that became extinct more than 165 millions years ago after a series of volcanoes hit the earth – that the ‘first human’ was discovered in Ethiopia 2.8 millions ago and named “Lucy” (BBC)
A priest, long-time family friend who is now in Cambodia, when asked about Adam and Eve, said it is a MYTH
But how do we cleanse the ‘original sin’? – through baptism, confirmation, first communion, etc. – but it is not free.
No wonder religion is a multi-billion business – just look how rich are the Catholic Church, INC, Quibuloy, etc.
that’s weird, INC give block votes to duterte for him to be president, same with quiboloy who provided free air travels for duterte during last presidential campaign, quiboloy’s followers voting for duterte as well. the catholic church might have voted for him too, hating ex pres aquino who was not into donating big bucks to the church. big spender arroyo was more loved.
dyos me, monkey man pala si duterte descendant of primates, he has the looks too and the walk, he, he, he. happily giving all his bananas to china and letting another chinese military plane land in dabaw again, for another refueling kuno. more like taking aviation fuel from pinas and mayhap free of charge ang refueling, friends kasi. china is hungry for oil.
baptism, marriages, rites of passages, etc. custom natin yan. with sponsors abound, ninang and ninongs, many times duterte played ninong to marriages and baptisms. duterte was there at the baptism of faeldon’s tyke, one of the sponsors yata. duterte’s latest grandson stonefish was baptize at church with sponsors aplenty, ninongs and ninangs galore.
spin offing to christmas with santa claus and the giving of gifts, megamalls in big christmas sales, streets decorated, parols hanging, etc. jesus born as prophesied, the virgin stepping on the head of the snake that temped eve, woman redeeming another woman, mary and eve . . . what a story!
spin offing again to lent with jesus dying on the cross, likewise marami ang nagpapapako, ginaya ang suffering ni jesus. religion and faith, two peas in a pod.
if duterte is going after the stupid god of his, he ought to go the whole hog. and get rid of the adam’s apple in his throat too, his lalamunan looks gurgly. he, he, he, maybe ‘biblical adam’ is choking him.
I think, it’s comforting for people to know there is life after death, no matter how mythical that sound. to be united with loved ones, to see each other again, without pain and suffering, happy and not sad.
anyhow, I wont begrude the family of the dearly departed roilo golez for going through religious rite of sending him off to the other side, offering prayers to a god that may not exist! rest in peace, roilo golez, may god look after you and take you into his bosom.
What? And Why another Chinese military big plane landing again at Davao airport?
Who are the Chinese officers getting out of that aircraft? What does the Immigration & Customs officials there say about this landing? To get fuel? What’s the real fake story on this? Anyware?
Chinese Ambassador? Sec. Harry Roque? What say you?
sabi nila .. its all tsismis daw as even reporters has pictures
roque admitted there was 2nd chinese military plane landing in dabaw and refueling, read that in inquirer’s online news, 24 june 2018. online abs-cbnnews could well carry similar lines.
kaya galit si digong sa tambays specially those in the habit of airplane spotting. they’re like bird watchers, but instead of watching birds, they’re watching airplanes. there are airplane spotters around the vicinity of dabaw airport, with cameras and cellphones and other gizmos on their persons. they can be like tambays only more dedicated to their craft, knowledgeable and precise.
my mind says … doubtful ako about the refuel, may ibang mas malalim na dahilan yan. Secret na mahigpit. But there is a Chinese saying “Even eggs has holes”
there was ‘error database connection’ and me could not accessed raissa’s blog for two days!
anyhow, tama ka sam, medyo too simple yong paliwanag ni roque na refueling lang daw. beats having to drill oil the hard way kung may commercial refine oil ang dabaw ready for siphoning by the chinese, he, he, he. the control tower ng dabaw sees all aircraft coming in and out, customs see all loading and unloading.
china badly needs oil, expansionist yan at building na ng mga infrastructures sa fiji at sa vanuatu. any oil china can get lalo na kapag free of charge must be manna from digong’s stupid god. if military planes got shabu to barter with oil . . .
digong order for mayors to be accountable for the crimes committed in their district, methink, mayor sara has much to answer for. dabaw is being colonized anew, chinese invasion at federal level na, bringing shabu mayhap and whatnots.
expect many more refueling in the future.
Yes. I am still trying to resolve that problem.
thanks for your patience.
I got in po, blocked ako nuon with error message, pero okay na ako ngayon. I hope po fellow commenters can get in too.
and since fellow commenters appear to be still blocked and not allowed access to this blog po, I’ll tap on my own, lol! lol!
now about that stupid god, the buang in situ also said nuon na women are not as good as men kaya he would not send women to – battle? and not keen on appointing them to . . . dahil doubtful kuno siya sa kakayahan ng women.
now, about that madugong encounter ng kapolisan at military sa samar, had women been there, the outcome might have been different, lol! lol!
anyhow, wala yan sa gender, angdyan po yan sa training. those men and women who trained for the front line, will be in the front line, regardless.
Even it is fake news or not … even if the crazy old man is not a Christian, still he did not need to give such comment. I dare him say the same about the Muslim faith, but then .. he would not do it .. kasi ang Muslim may Jihad.
the buang in situ, to the muslims, he is gifting them bbl where they can have self determination, free to do as they like and maybe free to establish their own caliphate too. may basbas sila, soon. then wannabe terrorists dont need to travel to syria. methink.

OPINION/SATIRE: The shirtless and the dead by Alan Robles — Hot Manila
. . . there was no order to arrest.
. . . there was only an order to detain.
IN THE STREETS: Loiterers, Shirtless Loiterers, Tambays, Tamboys and Tamgirls – DETAIN ’em! Good but can it be sustained?
How many are there? Calculating around 15 million lang siguro.
Where will the PNP house ’em? In the same congested CELLS!
Next week wala na detention ’cause NO MORE SPACE in jail cells. Balik sa EJK na lang naman.
Forget detaining…let’s wait for MORE DISMISSALS in the government.
Sana, many many many. . . build build build
he he he
IF PCOO oh? has issues with names, spells & grammar, so it is with PNP. (see http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/1003553/pnp-no-tambay-arrested-only-accosted)
ilang araw, linggo ang nakalipas – paiba-iba ang version ng kanilang utos ‘daw’ from PRRDuterte.
Is loitering a crime? … and they are flaunting with, what law? hook, line and sinker ang mga PRRDutertes utos.
Ultimong Diyos, binabatikos mo ngayon. Tamaan ka kaya ng kidlat?
namutla si albayalde, he, he, he, pumapayat yata. tambays not arrested but accosted and taken to watch houses, only for one of them to drop dead. that’s the problems of obeying orders with no questions asked: doldrum-ing. likewise, bato is taking tambay stance to bilibid. wonder tuloy ako what alan’s hot manila going to be.
there are plenty tambays in bilibid, all day in cells sila, talking, eating air dahil food is getting scarce, siksikan sa toilet kaya sa labas na iihi ang iba.
maybe, polis should be accosted too, not arrested. they sleep on the job, sometimes awol at wala sa pwesto, sa ibang kanto nagtambay.
The big task ahead for this country is shifting to Federalism form of government.
Every voter must put in mind to consider the following:
1. Should a present unitary form of government shift to federalism form lessen corruption in a federal government?
2. Non-concentration of power in federalism will still have concentration of power in other Regions. Will corruption be lessened?
3. Will corruption be lessened in the equitable distribution of power under federalism. What about dynasties, will it be cut down?
4. Corruption is present every time in any form of government. Will poverty be lessened under a federal system?
Ex-CJ Puno now advocates to shift to federalism per latest news reports.
What does he propose re political dynasty that corruption in government may still abound in a federal system?
The draft for shift to federal system should address how to lessen corruption in any form with appropriate punsihment/prohibition/penalties, etc., generally or by statutes by local or national legislatures in mandatory language in that failure to address violations will still be punishable by a self-executing provision in the federal charter.
. . . Because when legislatures do not enact statutes, like as provided in the 1987 constitution on an Anti-dynasty law, the failure results primarily to proliferation of corruption.
For me, my idea above, is one of so many shifting to federal system. Until then, I do not choose shifting to federalism if doing so will just be another same problem: CORRUPTION ABOUNDING.
he he he
of course sasabihin ni puno yan na 1st casualty kuno si digong sa anti dynasty provision ng federalism. may vested interest kasi yang si puno, he, he, he. if he failed to sell o promote federalism, digong may not pay his consultancy fee! and pino in turn will become casualty, napornada! hilong talilong! bumaba ang IQ!
puno can say whatever he likes, even sprout horns if he has to, he, he, he. puno wont be the one adversely affected by the outcome of cretinous federalism. he’ll be vacationing overseas by then, and maybe spending the millions earned as consultant, while pinoys back home suffer anew and cursing puno for his flippancy.
puno’s words and assurances mean nothing if sa isang iglip magbago na naman ang isip ni digong much like his unresolved talks with the reds. wasting money, time and resources, digong is good at it and now puno is on the game and keeping the ball rolling. puno should be shouting at china instead, keep away you yellow perils!
like leona, I’m not for federalism. and begging your pardon po, puno can get stuffed! he’s enemy of democracy now.
at saka, puno’s’ federalism will solve ph poverty’ – whose poverty po? for sure, hindi mamumulubi si puno if federalims passed through dahil may consultancy fee siyang matatanggap. millions in the offing, yay, federalism will solve puno’s poverty! yayaman siya ng husto.
for taumbayan, poverty is as usual and maybe getting uglier lalo na with added train burden.
I bring up this example: the Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP) where the Ombudsman has come up to charged former president Noynoy & Sec. Abad ordering the indictment of Aquino for usurpation of legislative powers under ART. 239 of the Rev. Penal Code, as Amended.
. . .the offense is punishable when ‘making general rules or regulations beyond the scope of one’s authority’ that is – the legislative branch of the Government.
This money side as owned by the people is always tantamount to abuse by public officials. Under a federal system, how will this be addressed? Many Regions with legislative powers and the National Government on BUDGETS will be on hand to be abused.
Should even Article 239 be amended to provide a heavier penalty than 6 years? Should the rules on Evidence be relaxed in order to prove easier the violation for guilt beyond a reasonable doubt?
There is great prosecutorial difficulty to prove. . . ”making general rules or regulations beyond the scope of one’s authority’ that is – the legislative branch of the Government“.
As many by the many critics, the charge is a SLAP on the wrist compared to outright Malversation of Public Funds.
he he he
On Anti-Dynasty, the Con-Com headed by Mr. R. Puno, per news report, gave this answer:
. . . On March 12, the ConCom voted to prohibit political dynasties to the second degree of consanguinity or affinity, which means that an incumbent official’s parents, children, spouse, grandparents, siblings, grandchildren, parents-in-law, and brothers- and sisters-in-law cannot run for office simultaneously or succeed each other in office.
. . . ‘cannot run’ – does this mean – prohibited even to file a COC with the COMELEC? Disqualified as a candidate?
. . . What ‘court’ with decide the violation, Regional or National court? Or what COMELEC office, the National or Regional office?
it needs to be clearly worded on the ban on dynasty.
he he he
propaganda lang yan ni duterte, trying hard and shifting problems to federalism, both cretinous exercises, mirage-ic at lethargic pa. already cretinous federalism has inherited problems.
duterte’s govt has no respect for rule of law. duterte says one thing and then contradict himself the next time. he, he, he, duterte cannot be trusted. even the chinese dont trust him and got bong go to oversee, never letting duterte out of sight.
it’s plain to see po that duterte cannot rule, doesn’t know how to, hindi kaya. and instead of resigning, he’s urged to shift over to federalism, where those with whiff of corruption, allies and fellow fist pumpers can still be on the job and continue on sucking the life blood of the nation. these suckers would rather have federalism than let the vice president take over.
and puno is a dirty rat, he, he, he. aiding and abetting the suckers to have their big day in the sun. storm is coming! federalism is for cretins!
stay with democracy, better the devil we know.
Every country needs a person with strong political leadership.
Under our present pres’l system of electing a president, the rule of the minority GOVERNS, like a vote of 16 million under a multi-party system. Will under a federalism system still have this?
In a real political democracy, the rule of the majority must be choice ahead. If a multi-party party system is allowed then so be it that any candidate for president who does not get a majority vote, a RUN-OFF must be done for electing a president.
I find it unrealistic not to have this RUN-OFF.
But if under a federal system, we adopt a sort of parliamentary form of government with multi-party method in elections, it is still wise to have a RUN-OFF for a political party to rule under a prime minister as head…alternative if none is a COALITION with other parties.
Are the Filipinos ready for this form of government? I do not know.
That is why under a FEDERAL form of government, our people will be moving into something we do not have any idea how to DO IT. Imagine the poor CALIBER of our majority of VOTERS on this shift.
The people in shifting our form of government could be either INTO a suicide or a blind difficult trek ahead.
What THEN is the draft about on FEDERAL form of government. . . where is it? WHEN do we start to READ IT? So the people will know HOW to evaluate it? And Why should the people adopt it?
Until as of now, there is none except by crumbs in PIECE MEALS style is being given to the public at large.
Please Do Not Hurry Up this proposed shifting
he he he
How to go about Filipinos to adopt a parliamentary form of gov’t is a big question mark. F Marcos adopted a quasi form of both worlds. Though he was the ‘elected’ president, then prime minister of parliament was a titular head. F Marcos exemplified on how to corrupt different forms of gov’t during his dictatorial rule.
Today, final draft for a parliamentary form of gov’t is still faraway. Common fear or reservations of many to shift to a parliamentary form from a presidential type is political dynasty (elite, family, kin).
News clippings of late says it would be limited to a certain degree. But where is the official draft, or work in progress materiel from a duly constituted constitutional commission, or even an assembly?
Since dictator F Marcos corrupted different types before, Filipinos nowadays have legitimate reservations that PRRDuterte may not be the right leader to shift, even as a transition leader – more so for a charter change.
From experience, living in a country ran by a parliamentary form of gov’t – at times a party or a coalition of 2 parties rule, lead, heads the gov’t. The Prime Minister of the day is the leader of the party, whose members (of the party) make up the majority of elected parliamentarians.
As the case maybe, to topple or replace a disenchanted ruling party (big) come election(s), smaller parties coalesce with each other (as a coalition) to take control of parliament (gov’t). A coalition party (of 2 or more parties) elect a PM among its coalition party leaders. IF there is a hung parliament, other smaller parties tend to negotiate (e.g. priority bills for legislation, funding, political appointments) with other parties, and combine their member numbers to wrestle control as majority for parliament control.
On legislation hurdles, often a ruling party whose members make up the majority in a parliament (example; 51 of 99 total members) may not be enough to pass a bill (e.g. requires 2/3s votes). This is where non party members are given the opportunity to ‘cross the floor’ to vote and pass a legislation.
Sometimes, in order for parliament to pass a bill into law – the ruling party provides political inducements (adopt non party bills or introduce amendments to suit another party’s advocacy).
PRRDuterte has communication problems with the Filipinos.
He doesn’t have the mental fortitude, patience, creativity and imagination to make it happen, where Filipinos would very much welcome its beauty and vibrancy. Everyone knows, the world knows his best and worst qualities to date.
also, digong’s pcoo has humongous communication problems din, super!
kulang ng concentration sina andanar et al, akala ko tuloy drug users ang mga iyon at sira na ang isip! fine motor skills nila as in reading and writing missing in action, resulting in daming mali sa official communication mismo.
what we need is change in govt, not change in the constitution.
change digong! let’s have democratic election. no to federalism.
