Nor to three other people surnamed Robles
Fake news has a way of being believed as the truth after being churned around and around by social media trolls.
So I’m going to nip this one in the bud. To stop conspiracy theories from taking on a life of its own.
I am not at all related to Reynaldo Robles, lawyer of Senator Antonio Trillanes.
Nor to retired Colonel Rex Robles, former coup plotter-turned-military analyst.
Nor to newspaper columnist Jojo Robles.
Nor to Rappler reporter Pia Ranada-Robles.
Before Pia, I often got inquiries whether I was the wife of Rex Robles.
So one day, I happened to be in a news forum, seated around the same table as Col. Rex and his wife Marilyn. The person beside me, perhaps to strike up a conversation, turned to me and said, “Excuse me, are you the wife of Col. Rex Robles?,” while pointing at the snow-bearded ex-officer with his nose.
I turned to him and solemnly replied – “I’m the other wife.”
“And that,” nodded in Marilyn’s direction, “is the first wife.”
Why, he just stopped talking to me.

Everyone should read this, a very intelligent and well written analysis of how Trillanes defeated Duterte.

OT. Let’s talk about INFLATION. It’s now, acc to
news papers at 6.4% high. And that maybe by
Dec this year might DOUBLE high.
What’s the remedy, if any? People, specially
our poors and poorest might not be able to
purchase anything for sustenance of life. Our
goods are always based on $US values.
Do we have GOLD? Yes. Philippines produces
gold. So, can we use our GOLD to hedge
INFLATION? Why not!
– ‘the Central Bank of the Philippines, also highlighted the themes of gold as a safe haven asset and as a portfolio diversifier, as well as an inflation hedge:
“The BSP, like other central banks, holds gold as reserve asset for the following reasons:
Diversification. By diversifying its reserve assets to include gold, the BSP is in a better position to manage risks and promote stability since gold is not directly influenced by economic shocks and policies. Moreover, its supply and demand are independent from the factors affecting the value of other reserve assets components.
Security. Gold is a real asset and bears no counterparty or credit risk. In times of uncertainty, gold is considered a safe-haven asset.
Inflation hedge. When inflation and inflation expectations are high, gold is considered a hedge against accelerating asset prices. Central banks buy gold to protect their currencies’ purchasing power in the event of an inflation.
Moreover, since the Philippines is a gold-producing nation, the BSP can purchase gold from small-scale miners, refine and cast these into gold bars (good delivery bars) that would qualify as reserve asset. Therefore, it can build up its gold reserves without relying too much on external purchases that would have to be paid for in foreign exchange.”
If you have also GOLD TOOTH or TEETH sell it to our BSP.
It will help inflation. See your dentist then.
Where’s the GOLD bullions of Marcos? The country needs it.
The Marcoses can help now in our inflation – prices are going
up higher to somewhere to no limits.
You have GOLD FINGERS? never mind. . .

Who OWNS the gold at the BSP [ if any ]?
‘It’s a common misconception that the world’s major central banks and monetary authorities own large quantities of gold bars. Most of them do not. Instead, this gold is owned by the sovereign states that have entrusted it to the respective nation’s central bank, and the central banks are merely acting as guardians of the gold. Tracing the ownership question a step further, what are sovereign states? A sovereign state is an entity with legal personality that is represented by one government. And with each government representing the people of that sovereign state, in essence, the large gold hordes managed by the central banks are in fact pools of gold owned by the state for the benefit of its citizens.’
Does it need telling who owns the gold at the BSP? Read
above.

Almost there…
Is that one reason why PRRD likes BBM to take his seat? … instead of VP LR?
Why was TRAIN necessary? Is it due to the over supply of …?
On another angle, follow up on derivatives, monetization, volume of fiat money … which do you prefer, reset or reboot to usher in the AU to back a new currency?
Just nuances we don’t pick from the mainstream.

LESSONS LEARNED THESE PAST FEW DAYS FOR OUR CHILDREN
1. MORAL INCOMPETENCE LEADS TO JOB INCOMPETENCE.
Incompetence may be the root of all weevils ((NFA) , but moral incompetence (Calida, Du30) disables all your capacities to do good. On the contrary, you will do a lot of harm. (inflation, cruelty, injustice, dictatorship)
2. IF SOMEONE SAYS HE ADMIRES MARCOS, YOU CANNOT TRUST HIM TO BE A GOOD PERSON.
If someone says he is not corrupt or he dislikes corruption but supports the Marcoses, he is lying.
3. YOU NEVER COMPROMISE YOUR GOOD NAMES (attention: Nene Pimentel, Bert Romulo, Sonny Belmonte) AND SACRIFICE YOUR PRINCIPLES FOR ANY REASON
These were some of the good guys in the anti-Marcos opposition. But Nene’s fetish for federalism, Bert’s admiration for Davao, and Sonny’s empire preservation instincts were likely their reasons for supporting Duterte. But look at what has happened to the country.
Tell these to your children!

Thousands of mental health professionals agree with Woodward, NYT op-ed author: Trump is dangerous
———————
Just as suspicion of crime should lead to an investigation, the severity of impairment that we see should lead to an evaluation, preferably with the president’s consent.
Mental impairment should be evaluated independently from criminal investigations, using medical criteria and standardized measures. A sitting president may be immune to indictments, but he is subject to the law, which is strict about public safety and the right to treatment when an individual poses a danger to the public because of mental instability. In the case of danger, the patient does not have the right to refuse, nor does the physician have the right not to take the person as a patient.

there’s mental health act po in every country and it’s very strict about who can be classified as mental patient. according to most mental health acts, only close family relation, or next of kin, can commit a person for mental health evaluation. the act has been abused with husbands forcibly institutionalizing their wives, rather than divorcing their wives, much cheaper yan and hubbies got to keep the marital properties. children sometimes have their parents committed and so, control the family’s wealth.
though doctors can recommend a person for mental health evaluation, the backing of an accredited psychiatrist is needed, ensuring that there is no malice involved. litigation is rife and patients wrongfully ‘recommended’ have full recourse of the law.
though if patient is showing symptoms of acute psychosis, there is immediate danger to self and society, patient can be detained, restrained and even isolated, pending review of accredited psychiatrist within 24hrs. only psychiatrists are allowed to medicate or prescribe drugs to a person suffering mental illness.
a mental patient can refused medication, and many of them. involuntary mental patients are in different category. there are very strict laws that govern and protect involuntary patients. if doctors overstep their mark, they could lose their license and be sued for millions.

TOO MANY QUESTIONS UNANSWERED ON CALIDA’S SECURITY AGENCY BUSINESS
It makes me wonder, could investigating Calida be the answer to the rampant violations now happening In government agencies, with Calida’s security agency (per newspaper reports) permeating virtually all agencies of the government including government corporations
-could the Calida agency’s presence in these government offices be an intimidating presence for records to be taken off or on anytime including SC’s?
-just what is the extent of these security agency to go inside these offices’ files and could they go willy nilly hide or access records to suit their purpose as in case of DND missing Trillanes papers?
-could its access to records if answered reveal the swiftness by which the alleged Bong Go’s dad business in bagging lucrative government contracts (https://pinoyakoblog.com/blog/kaya-pala-sabi-ni-duterte-bilyonaryo-daw/)
-could its access to records be the answer on the swiftness by which Davao businessmen Dennis Uy became an overnight billionaire in under two years (https://www.entrepreneur.com.ph/news-and-events/how-rich-is-davao-based-tycoon-dennis-uy-a00200-20170808)
-is it farfetched to think that the Calida agency also has participation in the shabu billion dollar importation to RP
-being from Davao could Calida be part of the Davao group together with Po long and Mans Carpio as earlier revealed?
-could Trillanes’s investigation on Calida about to reveal all Duterte’s secrets including the dreaded Davao group connection that Duterte and company had to resort to this absurd shenanigan of voiding Trillanes amnesty?
The whole world is now watching the historical role of Chief Justice De Castro and Justice Peralta on what they will do on Trillanes’s petition vs Calida/Duterte’s amnesty voiding caper (to save Calida?)…abangan

in the phils same surnames doesnt necessarily mean related. has something to do that happened during the spanish times.
arc says
spanish times, today’s time, tradition die hard po. parents passed it on to their children and society harbors it. names have power po, meanings and associations are invoked. mention the name ‘marcos’ and eyebrows are raised and people have been known to take back steps. mention the name ‘duterte’ and investors run for cover, lol!

and trolls are attracted to the name aquino, equating it with dilawan.
meself, I dont care what trolls think, but like kalawang (rust), trolls should be contained. if left untreated, kalawang is not only annoying but destroying, spreading and eating up new steel.
and like the man from dabaw with kamay na bakal, mukhang kinalawang yata, made in china kasi and patterned after. kinalawang! someone is wielding the kamay na bakal for man from dabaw, de-calida-d, lol! revoking quality.

Even if you were related to Trillanes’ lawyer, what does that have to do with anything?
raissa says
Because I’m a journalist and I have to be careful about conflict of interest.
Also, trolls had associated me with Pia Ranada-Robles in order to malign her and me at the same time. That now wonder she is “bias” because I’m “bias”.
That sort of bashing has been going on since Duterte took office.
